Good gluten free bread. I had a sandwich and the turkey was sliced least instead of deli style meat, the bread was nice and crispy. They cook the GF bread in store and have gluten bread brought in from another store. Also, $2.99 for anlg Italian soda. Yum! The people who work there are super nice and friendly. The only thing is, don't go there in a hurry, it isn't fast food. That said, delightful experience!

I had the falafel sandwich in the wrap. So good!! I'm from Los Angeles and so I can get pretty picky, since there are a lot of choices there. It was a great flavor and texture. The fries were excellent too. I can't wait to try some more items out on the menu. Also, the staff is very friendly and the food is not overpriced.

My boyfriend and i wanted to eat at this place since im on a diet of gluten free items only and i really was looking forward to eating here , we arrived at 10:45 am waited 20 minutes for them to open at 11 am and its now 11:10 am no notice on the door saying that that are closed for the time being for any reason and they are closed. its almost lunch time and we have not eaten breakfast. really disappointed and i would not reccomend this place at all.

Slow service for okay food. We stopped here because some of us have gluten allergies. We waited an hour for cold sandwiches that didn't look worth the time. The sweet potato chips and fries tasted great though.

It is so awesome to have a restaurant that offers healthy food options. I hope that The Healthier Place gets their staffing and facilities issues worked out, so the business will last. Patrons don't mind paying a bit more or waiting a little longer for high quality services. But, shivering, because it is too cold, while waiting a very long time for your meal may keep some people from coming back a second time. Fingers crossed.

This. Place. Is. Spectacular. Perfect for the gluten free customer! I had a custom sandwich with the gluten-free almond and tapioca bread, and it was the best sandwich I've had in a very long time. The ingredients were fresh and delicious, and the bread (which they make themselves) was amazing! Most places give you ridiculously large slices of gluten free bread, and it just overpowers the sandwich, but not this place. The bread was the perfect thickness. Their fresh French fries were spectacular too! And don't even get me started on how exquisite the gluten-free carrot cake is. Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful, and you can really tell they believe in the amazing food they provide. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

Our first stop in Pocatello and we were not disappointed. Top quality food, reasonable prices for organic eating. Huge gluten free menu. We have been eating organic for 5 years and tried many restaurants and none are even on par with The Healthier place to eat. 10+ stars. Raymond and his wife have this customer for life! Cannot wait to try everything on the menu including the vegan gluten free pie!!

WOW!! What a great experience. The food is just awesome, and they've got the best gluten free bread I've ever tasted! I know people have said they're slow, and it's worth the wait, but guys... This is REAL food! It's amazingly good and fresh. They don't start making your food until you order it. I absolutely appreciate the wait and I love they care enough about their customers to only have real, fresh, and healthy food available. We will definitely go here again. ***Edit: I just read Sara's review and I have to say that our wait was not even close to that long. They even made our soup from scratch, as well as the salads, and we waited about 30ish minutes for everything. Not horrible in my opinion, and again, well worth it. I am going to order a pizza and a sandwich next time so if they wait is actually 3 hours I will do another updated edit, but something makes me think if her review is correct and it really was 3 hrs that something else was going on that day.*** We shared a bowl of tomato soup (SO yummy!!) and I had a chicken quinoa salad, and my husband had a pepper/olive quinoa salad. So perfect and delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very loose and relaxing. The decor is cute and rustic, and I love the mural of old town Pocatello. I also can't wait to do a to-go order for when we don't have enough time to dine in. Seriously amazing food and kind employees. The woman that bakes the bread is so nice and bubbly, and the man that took our order made us feel right at home and was so kind. Love this place!! Best place in Pocatello, imho.

I was looking for a place to do a custom cake for my girlfriends birthday, I tried about 5 other bakeries in town, but none of them would even consider the design I was looking for. I stopped into Ra Nae's Rolls to see if they could do it. She needed to talk with her assistant to see if they could complete the cake in the time frame I needed it (the next day) They informed me that they would have it ready the next evening for me. The cake was a complicated 3D dragon cake. They had to work several hours after closing to get it completed for me. The cake was beautiful. Took it to my girlfriends place of work for her birthday and everybody just loved it. The cake was amazingly moist. Almost like a pudding cake. Very good. Overall was very pleased witht he service they provided, the amount of work and detail put into the cake and the absolutely amazing flavor. Will definitely be trying other products from this bakery.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE their food! I really do, at 12 when the doors are supposed to be open, there's a Huge line waiting to get in. That said, the doors opened 25+ mins late which is cool but, my ONLY complaint is, is that the food takes forever to get made. Even if you call it in ahead of time, it takes forever! I'm talking like 45 mins per a sandwich... With this said, IT'S WORTH THE WAIT! These sweet potato chips are AMAZING!

Considering that almost everything here is organic, and much of it made from scratch, it's a great deal and unique place for Pocatello. I don't think there's a better option for a vegetarian or gluten-free meal in town. I had a falafel sandwich with sweet potato chips and my wife had a BLTT with potato fries, and both were very good. Also have more standard lunch fare on the menu.

My wife and I tried this place for the first time the other day, we were passing through Pocatello and noticed that The Healthier Place To Eat was listed as a vegan restaurant (which is pretty rare here in Eastern Idaho) and thought we would give it a try... We LOVED it! I had the BLTT Sandwich and fresh cut french fries, everything was PERFECT! My wife really enjoyed her vegan meal too. I noticed a lot of people complaining in the reviews about how long they had to wait for their food. When my wife and I went here, it was a one woman show. The owner was so sweet, she took our orders, gave us our drinks, went back to the kitchen to make our meals by herself, check on us, go back to making our meals, then deliver us our food all by herself. She was was so friendly, and the service was excellent. So, if your the impatient type, maybe don't come here. As for my wife and I, we didn't mind the wait. We will definitely be coming back!

They were so polite and quick to go above and beyond to help me with references for schooling for my daughter since i am new to this town, and i just appreciate this family tremendously. I had a BLTT bacon lettuce tomato turkey on the coconut wrap with avocado. It was amazing, real carved turkey and not just lunch meat. The tomato was fresh and juicy and perfect red! I will be going back for date lunch with the hubbs!

Bummer about Sara's experience. I've never had that experience and I've been there half a dozen times. It's a mom and pop shop so maybe she was sick? Anyway, I find the food very good and my service has been fine. It was nice to find a vegan place in a small town. I eat there every time work brings me there.

Do you enjoy sitting down in a mostly empty restaurant at noon and waiting until 3pm to get your food? If so this place is for you. It took three hours... We ordered a pizza and a sandwich. The pizza took about an hour. We waited a while longer and finally I asked if they were working on my sandwich and if not I’d just pay for the pizza and not to worry about it. I was told, “your sandwich is almost done.” So I sat back down. Thirty minutes later I was asked, “what type of bread do you want your sandwich on?” Obviously, they lied and hadn’t started to make it.

As other reviewers have stated the wait is a long one. My party ordered two vegan sandwiches, both with extra avocado -- and it took a LONG time to bring them out...without the avocado. BUT the sandwiches were so good! I found myself craving one the following day. The atmosphere is quite nice, though it was cold inside the building. The lady who helped us was very, very nice, and when I was paying she let me sample a gluten-free brownie which tasted AMAZING ( I bought one after that!). So light and delicate. I would not recommend visiting this restaurant if you're on a time-crunch; however, the food is really good, and the bakery items are delicious (and gluten-free)! I am happy to support this establishment for the sake of decent-tasty vegan, and gluten-free, fare.

By far the worst lunch experience ever. I ordered and the cashier forgot to ring me up. Then she began to take the ingredients out of the freezer to make my food. It appeared that she had no idea how to make my order. I waited about 45 minutes for her to make my wrap, and when it came, it was not good and definitely not worth the money I paid for it. I DO NOT recommend this restaurant if you are interested in good food that is reasonably priced and timely.

I ordered a sandwich without onions. It took 15 minutes for a low-quality meal to be brought out. I took it home and bit into it only to receive a mouthful of onions. I called the restaurant, and was asked if I would like another sandwich, otherwise I was out of luck. Poor food, poor service.

Very satisfying experience! We called ahead to ask if they were open on Labor Day, and they said yes but they had just closed—but they said they still had two customers in there and they could serve us. When we got there, they welcomed us and were very friendly and helpful in answering our questions. I have celiac disease, and they are very knowledgeable about food allergies. The made-from-scratch gluten free bread is to die for!! I got the grass-fed bacon burger and it was so good. The fries are also really good—perfectly greasy yet crispy. We also tried the brownies and they tasted like chocolate cake, which is something I haven’t been able to eat in a while. I will definitely have to come back here whenever I’m passing through Pocatello!

We were the only people in the restaurant for a late lunch during the week of the 4 the of July. Well the service was friendly, you expected or food to be prepared quickly due to the fact that we were the only people in the restaurant. It took nearly 45 minutes for us, a party of four, to receive our meals. we waited long enough that we were all absolutely starving and ate our food very quickly. I was still starving after I finished my plate. I had the falafel in the coconut wrap and the sweet potato chips. The falafel was a flat patty shape which was great because it made it much easier to eat the in the wrap but the patty was only about the size of the palm of my hand. Our server who I believe was one of the owners gave us very small glasses of water and never filled them up. If I had to have a gluten-free diet for medical reasons, I would return because the menu specifically mentioned avoiding cross-contamination with wheat and people with gluten allergies can feel safe eating there knowing that the restaurant actually knows that gluten-free isn't just a trend for everyone and it's something that could make people sick.

WORTH THE DETOUR! This was spot was such a surprise! My wife and I were driving to Jackson Hole and this spot came up on Google maps. The Bacon Jack Chicken on gluten free bread was amazing. Up there on the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. The owners are super sweet people too and it was a pleasure to support their business. I wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often.
