What an unexpected treasure to find in Challis, Idaho. Set in a beautiful Victorian style house, Tea Cup Cafe is a tea room, espresso bar, deli, bakery, and restaurant, and excels at all of them. The owner is truly delightful, and it's obvious she loves what she's doing. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly, the decor was lovely and inviting, the grounds beautifully landscaped, the restrooms immaculately clean, and the staff was welcoming and friendly. Finding this wonderful place was the highlight of our day.

Took my wife here for our anniversary! Love this place! The service was excellent! The mushroom swiss hamburger was the best I have ever tasted! We also got the salad as a side and it was very fresh and crispy! A beautiful place to enjoy great food! Definitely going back soon! Lots of choices on the menu to accommodate to the pickiest eater! Give them a try... You won't be dissappointed!

Mark Bennett

excellent food. Great place to hang out!

Keasha Arneson

Dont work for this business and leave and then expect to be treated decently. Went in several times and the owner was rude and snotty towards me. Which is a shame because I love pizza Thursdays and they have really good pizza. But I can eat else where and be treated a lot better. Will probably not eat here again.

This is a great little coffee shop with outstanding coffee and fresh baked goods. Their breakfast crossaint is flaky and tasty. I was not able to try the cafe as they close during the work week at 2 pm . I highly recommend the Tea Cup for you breakfast needs .

We tried a few places in Challis and this is our favorite. The veggie stir fry is great! We got it with the plum sauce and it's wonderful. I got the grilled cheese with clam chowder. It's hard to mess up grilled cheese, but it's also hard to make it this good! The soup is also great, very flavorful. The staff is extremely friendly as well. Highly recommended.

I bought coffee to go here. It was very busy while I was there. The ambience for both indoor and outdoor seating is top notch. It is much more than a coffee shop and bakery. It is a full-service restaurant as well as a place to get coffee and pastries to go. I hope to eat a full meal here if I am ever in Challis again.

Absolutely delicious Mocha! A work of art!

My wife and I had dinner at Teacup on a Friday evening. A large bright airy room, clean and neat. Friendly prompt service. Server was knowledgeable about surrounding area and happy to inform. My prime rib, ordered rare, came medium but was quickly and apologetically replaced with a rare slice. Flavor was just “OK.” Mixed vegetables were good; clearly they were sautéed in butter. The “loaded” baked potato was perfection. My wife had the Caesar salad which was OK although the chicken was served cold. We did not sample the baked goods.

Tab Stuart

Great Cafe.

Cozette Bolshaw

Excellent food, open Friday and Saturday night

Food is awesome. Coffee & espressos are better. I took my boyfriend there for dinner on valentines day, & the 3 specials were stellar. Their wood fired pizzas are definitely something deliciously different. Def a 5 ☆

Like having breakfast and dinner in my own home. They do a great job on the food and keeping it low key. Building and decor are awesome. There's an insanely awesome apartment upstairs you can stay in. Great for families.

Robert Kolczak

Great service. Employees are always happy and quick to serve you.

This place was INCREDIBLE!! I got the sugar mama mocha which was a white chocolate and hazelnut latté combined. Not too sweet, and the just right amount of espresso flavor. I also had the bacon, egg and cheese croissant. This was THE PERFECT breakfast sandwich. Everything fresh and hot. From the freshly baked buttery, flaky, soft croissant to the ooey gooey cheese, over easy egg and crispy bacon, this was by far the tastiest sandwich I've ever had. And to top it off, the service was great. The woman at the register was friendly and warm. I would go out of my way to come back, that's a promise!! Thank you Tea Cup Café & Bakery! Heading home to Vegas today, but we'll be back someday!

Brunch buffet was not worth the price during BBR. The full menu may be totally different based on other reviews. On a positive note, the gravy was really flavorful and the scone was good too. Patio was great and the place is overall very nice and clean.

Pretty good food. Service was a little spotty. But overall a decent experience.

Gordon Nielson

Great little home town cafe. You can eat inside or out and is well kept. Prices seem a little high- maybe because there is little competition or because of the authenticity of the cafe.

Nathan Humpherys

It's a cute little place with good food for a decent price.

Jane Benavidez

We stopped by the Tea Cup Cafe and Bakery on our way back from a nearby hot spring, looking for a meal before we embarked on the three hour drive back to South-east Idaho. We were lured in by the pizza buffet, and once we saw that the price was reasonable, the variety ample, and the atmosphere warm and cheery, we settled in. Three of our party went with the pizza buffet, while the other ordered the veggie stir fry. The staff were very polite, friendly, and welcoming, and we were quickly seated then off for the first plate. The buffet consisted of two salads and several dressings, cheesy bread, and seven varieties of pizza. There was one vegetarian pesto, Hawaiian, pepperoni, bbq chicken, chicken/bacon, bacon jalapeno, and sausage. Two of us did not eat meat, so we mostly stuck with the pesto, but we were also able to pick the meat from most of the other options and feed it to the carnivore. The pizza was fresh, hot, and delicious. The flavor in the sauces was bold and rich, and the ingredients seemed of high quality of were equally distributed. The crust was particularly crispy and flavorful as well, as to be expected from a genuine wood-fire oven. I greatly enjoyed each slice, and ate my fill. Staff were very easy to talk to and seemed very enthusiastic about their job and the pizza. We struck up a conversation with a few of the servers and found them to be genuinely enjoyable people. Overall, our experience was very positive, and we would come here again if we were ever in the area. Highly recommended.

The barista there makes the BEST coffee I have ever had! (Caramel macchiato) And the waitress was super nice as well and didn’t seem like she was doing the “customer service voice” she was just real and genuine. Overall, food was amazing, coffee was superb, and all the staff members were kind! 5/5 stars, no complaints!

My husband and I stopped here to have dinner. One of the ladies asked where we were from and we said Ohio. She said she was from Ohio, too. I asked where she was from and she said Urbana. I asked her name and she said her name was Kay. I asked the other lady what her name was and she said, Keri. They were so nice. Kay asked if we would like her to take my husband and my picture. We did. I asked if we could take their picture and they said it would be fine. They were so nice. It was nice to meet a fellow Buckeye. We not only met two nice ladies but we also had a really nice meal. If you ever go to Challis, be sure to stop at The Tea Cup & Bakery and have something to eat and say 'hello' to Kay and Keri. I would like to come back someday and stop and see if these ladies are still there. Thanks ladies for helping us to have a great memory.

BeVe Mayn

Good bakery and clean restroom. People are friendly.

Kayla Luras

What a pleasant surprise! We just got done with camping and heading along on our road trip. We were wanting coffee, and googles first match was this coffee shop/cafe. Our coffee was excellent and our breakfast sandwhichs were amazing!!!! Better than expected! They actually cooked the eggs over medium, and placed on a croissant, and the sausage and bacon was great! Not just a microwaved sandwhich. They of course had many baked goods, that looked amazing and looked like they made them fresh right there! This was a great, quick stop for my family.

S MacMurdo

Overpriced and underserved. Drove over from Mackay for lunch. Food wasn’t great (ranch chicken wrap was DRY, prime rib French dip was chewy, and got about 12 fries or tots with the meal). $25 plus tip for an unimpressive lunch. Lesson learned.

William Baker

Great food for any meal. Great coffee selection with a helpful caring staff.

Anita Deshommes

Great coffee, yummy pastry

Igor Chubenko

Great place to get great food. Very beautiful place and awesome service.
