Steak was like apiece of leather when they were suppose to be medium rare. no hashbrowns available. She forgot to order half the food we ordered. We literally couldn't eat anything but the pancakes. One in our partys steak was attempted to be recooked.but she refused to do that for another. Then over charged us for bad food and bad service

Went at about 5 PM - the place was mostly empty which was nice. The music being played was at an acceptable decibel - most restaurants play the music too loud. Ordered the one pound T-bone steak with hashbrowns, eggs, and opted for the biscuits and gravy. I felt the $14 price for it was a good deal since comparable establishments charge much higher. The food was excellent. The waitress was very nice and attentive without being overbearing. Beverages are almost $3(!) Thankfully, refills are free, so that helps make the price ok.

Best pies in the land, the foods also delicious. The have so many varieties that it takes me 40 minutes to look at the menu. So I think it would be a safe bet to say you can get anything you want here . The only place in town you can get a home cooked meal beyond 10 p.m. did i mention their open 24 hrs a day :)

Just plain, good, old school diner food. Breakfast anytime and never a bad experience. We went on Wednesday which is apparently free pie day. Any meal purchase comes with a free slice of pie. Free pie? Hell yes! They even do it for the kids meals. Never a bad choice reminds me of when I was a kid.

I got a bacon cheddar burger with fries. The patty was bigger then the bun which was weird and the bottom bun was soggy but the fries were amazing, and the customer service was wonderful! I got a slice of pie to take home with me, I'm not sure why they got rid of their pecan pie, right not (for the month of October) they have their whole pies for $9.99, which is a good price because their pies are awesome, but I'm in a total pecan mood so I just got my free slice this time. It was called caramel pecan crunch, which I see it has chocolate in it so I will give it to my son because I don't like chocolate type pies, but I didn't ask what it was so that was my bad. Overall it was a good experience, my husband loved his chicken sandwich and it was a nice lunch together.

Dirty napkins, server uniform super dirty and gross, moldy broccoli, I regret not complaining and sending the food back but my family and I had just drove 8 hours. Award winning pie? Doubt it, my sons was old and inedible, apple pie was crust with an apple like jam as filling. Thinking about the experience makes me gag. Just awful. Save your money and go to the many other options in the area.

I drive from Salt Lake to Spokane, and I stop in Boise. I've been here mainly really late at night, and I love loading up on steak, eggs, sausage, pancakes, a shake and about 6 cups of coffee, which keeps me going for the rest of the night. The staff is usually nice, and it's not that expensive. So I recommend this place for breakfast or odd hours of the night.

RIDICULOUS!! Maybe 1 or 2 items under $11! Cup of soup $3.something. Since I wasn't very hungry be I settled on a half grilled cheese and a crisp salad, still at over $10. The only thing edible was s slice of dill pickle. Salad was wilted frisee type lettuce usually used just to dress up a salad or used as a garnish...not a bowl full wilted. When I asked if there was any ice burg lettuce the only answer was "no". Next came the grilled cheese...a single slice of bread, loaded with about a pound of cheese leaking out of every side and dripping with oil. $10+ for a quarter slice of pickle. When asked if everything was good, I told the cashier no....she offered me a slice of pie, ha. No thanks. I'd be embarrassed to serve what I had been given.

Food is great, and normally I have had good service here however on my last visit it was a bit sub par. Few most notable short comings were: Water - instead of normal drinking glasses we received those small juice cups that hold maybe 6oz of liquid. But like many places the glasses were 90+% ice. Thus even a sip emptied the cup of all liquid, which could be forgiven completely if glasses were refilled constantly but they were not. So no drinking water for 80ish% of the time there. Also requested water for my daughter on 3 occasion before they brought her a cup also. Also at no point did they bring my daughter utensils to eat with and they were short a set on the table, didn't force the issue since I got a burger so didn't need mine. Food on the other hand was great and their pie shakes alone are reason to go there. That said the trail boss is one of my favorite burgers in the area for sure. And this month they have a pie sale on full pies. Bonus points for that.

Great food and desserts in this 24 hour family dinner. Food was so fresh and tasty. Incredible fast service from our waitress Shandi. The selection of the pies was to die for, we didn’t know where to start with the pies but shared 5 different pies with my family and we loved them all. We will definitely go back next time we travel through Idaho.

Shari's is a typical diner but I rate it one or two steps above a Denny's or IHOP. The staff seem to be trained better. I ordered the filet mignon breakfast even though I was somewhat reticent in ordering steak at a diner. However, it was great. I would recommend Shari's for a good meal at a reasonable price.

Even folks who came in after me ...was getting very upset and getting ready to leave when stood up and then finally 10 min later got seated. finally got a desert night with the wife, no kids. Ordered two pieces of pie with ice cream about 8:12, about 8:45 nothing, not even waiting in the window. Completely forgot about us. We had to leave to get home to the kids, so no pie, oh we will buy your coffee. You should have hurried our pie and gave it to go. really, thanks Shari's. And to top it off still have a sweet tooth. They didn't really even care. We normally go after all school events with the family for dessert and coffee. shame. I notice the managers only respond to people who give good reviews. They don't care to right their wrongs or step up I guess.

Experience/service was a bit sub-par this time, which isn't normally the case. The food is normally really good, the only problem is that the portions are not quite what you would expect. An example, we went today and I ordered a fish and chips with tots, a normal order there, but instead of coleslaw, I asked for more tots. They didn't give me any more than normal, when I asked she said they did. The reason I rate it at 3 is because the food itself, while portioned small, was good. The pies were also delicious.

The location is very convenient if you are staying at the hotel next door as you can just walk over for a meal. Not someplace I would frequent, but it's passable 24hr dining when you need food late at night.

Similar to Denny's and has pretty good food but terrible service. The waitress was also very rude to my daughter, when she was already having a bad day. I don't recommend going here with kids or if you want to keep asking your server for things like forks,spoons,napkins,straws etc and get a nasty attitude.

Very bad and poor management. This place would be so much better if there was a new one. I have a lot of things I could say about this location (the one in Boise rocks by the way. They know how to manage a place and tray their employees fairly and discipline if needed) but since I know the manager knows of some issues here and has done nothing about it, corporate will be hearing from me and a few others. I do not recommend this place. However the one in Boise is recommend.

We go here most every week for dinner. The menu is varied, good, basic American coffee shop food, and is consistently good. They have a great "honored citizen" menu. Service is great, and I love the fact they serve the decaf coffee in a carafe, so we can have refills whenever we want. The pies are decent - a little heavy on the whipped cream topping for my taste - and the slices are generous. Plus on Wednesdays you get a free slice with any entree. Nice, friendly place.

You guys don’t have a very good manager, he doesn’t know how to run a business, he doesn’t seat people when they are waiting outside and are on the list and he knows they are out there. He also messed up our bill. Our bill was supposed to be around $35 but they charged us &47 and we did the math for the manager and he watched us type everything in and he seen that it came out to be $35 and told us there was nothing that he could do about it. I mean you are the manager right you should be able to do something even when you know we shouldn’t pay $47. You could be like that’s on us we are sorry we messed up your bill and either fix it or we don’t pay and get it for free. Am I right? The manager should be able to do something about that or you shouldn’t be the manager. I would not recommend going to sharis cafe and pies they don’t have very good service either and the manager has no clue what he’s doing. If I was the owner I would fire him and get someone else who knows how to be a manager. Because the customers always right right?

My husband and I have been celebrating our anniversary here for 14 years. Love the atmosphere, the amazing staff, the good food, and of course our favorite dessert the cheesecake. Highly recommended for a first date because of the laid back atmosphere and great prices. Also a great place to take your kids. It is fun for all ages.

Food was so,so, but the tables were disgusting. Our arms kept sticking to the wood part of the table. My husband tried wiping it down, but ended up with a black disgusting paper towel. Your crew needs to disinfect and scrub down your tables during your quiet times. We showed our waiter the dirty paper towel, and he mumbled that he would make sure they would get cleaned. Nice crew, but we won't go back.

So unlike my bad experience at the Sheri's in boise had a great experience here. My friend and i do door dash and picked up an order for our customer and between the server jessica and cook jackson they have changed my opion of Sheris all together the both of them have great customer service skills and you can tell they take pride in their work place! Even if i find Sheri's to be slightly over priced for their food i will definitely go there soon due alone to the positive experience i had tonight. Thank you Jessica and Jackson for changing my opinion of Sheri's.

I noticed that the female manager here, wonderful and sweet woman, doing dishes in the back. How is she supposed to be confident in her professional appearance, when they have her doing the hard labor? Also, how is she supposed to check on customers as well as do her own job when doing someone's else's job. I will not return here if this is how they treat their staff.

This hurts as I have been a regular customer at this Shari's location for a number of years. But the last two visits have been poor and today's was absolutely unacceptable. I ordered the light fare country fried steak and was given, and charged for, the full fare. Worse, instead of country gravy, there was some unknown sauce on the steak which looked like thousand island dressing. I asked the waitress about it and she had no clue. It was like she didn't even look at what she was delivering. She had the cook come out and when she saw it, she got this horrified look on her face and offered to make me another steak. I waited for a bit on it, but had to leave. The hash browns were not cooked, they had two different types of music playing and I just ran out of patience. I will not be going there in the mornings again. I will still try the evenings, for now, but with a jaundiced eye.

Awesome manager! We didn't even eat at the restaurant but just went in to buy a couple pies and the super friendly manager helped us select the pies and then gave us a couple free slices of some other types of pie that we were interested in, since it was my wife's birthday.

Nothing as inviting as a group of employees huddled near the dumpster smoking as you're walking up to the building. Service was average, as was food. Wasn't bad, wasn't great. You get what you pay for.

Usually are consistent. Not this morning. Great omelet. Hash browns a little too oily, but cooked good crispy. Black burnt toast. Not even close to right. Left on plate. . I was bfast fry cook many years ago. This is not how it is done. No one should ever plate the toast I got. a little carelessness on July 4th 800am. It's very rare for Sharies to be this off. Suggest training. Training can fix this.
