I have been working with Mel for over a year and every single cake is a work of art. Not only are the cakes beautiful, but they taste amazing. Mel only uses the finest ingredients and she can make absolutely anything. Every cake she has created for me or my clients has been nothing short of a work of art. Definitely a focal point for any photography session, party, or event. I recommend her to anyone needing a cake for their special day. Her service is incredible and she has such a gift for detail. You'll want to eat every bite, they're so delicious!

Mel’s cakes are AMAZING!!! She never disappoints on delivery, flavor, moistness. I splurge every child’s birthday and special event for her delicious cup cakes and cakes. Her creativity is amazing as well and so is her customer service and delivery!!! You will not be disappointed with your purchase! I had another one of Mel’s cakes for my daughter’s birthday this year. I am not a fan of chocolate and thought red velvet which is what my daughter wanted was chocolate. I learned from Mel that it had very little chocolate. Well I ate the cake. Red velvet cream cheese filling and butter cream frosting! It was AMAZING! My mom who is very picky about the flavor, consistency, and frosting raved of Mel’s cake! She in fact stole part of the left over cake from our house because she couldn’t get enough. A good red velvet cake is difficult to master...and Mel has mastered a GREAT red velvet cake! Can’t wait for my son’s birthday cake next!

The BEST tasting cupcakes I’ve ever had in my life, hands down! Being gluten free isn’t easy at all. Especially when you want to endulge in a dessert or celebrate with cake! Not only does she specialize in dietary restrictions for her customers, but you can’t tell the difference in taste between a regular cupcake or one that’s gluten free...and that’s incredibly hard to do! My daughter has celiac and I can’t bake a darn thing right, that’s gluten free, to save my life!!! And then I found this incredible angel who not only bakes like a master, but her decorating skills are beyond talented. I highly recommend More Than Cake, you will never, ever be disappointed!

I am obsessed with the cakes from More Than Cake. She has ruined me eating cake from anybody else that’s not her. I refuse to eat cake elsewhere after trying her cake this past month. Her cakes are worth it! And on top of delicious, they are BEAUTIFUL!!! She did a Mary Poppins cake to celebrate my baby’s two months, and it was so detailed and gorgeous. Everyone kept talking about it. Sometimes cakes are pretty on the outside, but not so good on the inside. With More Than Cake you get the best of both worlds. Beautiful on the outside and so yummy on the inside.

I have used 5 different cake businesses in the treasure valley for events as well as visited several cupcake shops (I may or may not have a sweet tooth problem).. We decided to try out “More than Cake” for our sons birthday back in May. He wanted a banana cake which wasn’t on the menu. (She still accomdated us) She promised us the best banana cake we’ve ever tasted.... and she succeeded!! It was so delicious and was super cool looking too. She sent us home with a few different flavor cupcakes, and they were all very yummy. Super moist but not too soft... dang it! Now I want some cake! Best Cake I’ve had in the valley!
