My favorite is their cinnamon twists, a kind of doughnut that isn't often available elsewhere . . . although come to think of it, it's available here only about 20% of the time. Nice people; free, easy parking and usually only a short wait in line for choosing your doughnuts. Try to avoid using their restrooms, though-- they are the nastiest I have seen in Boise. Very tiny, too, which means that it's difficult to avoid accidentally touching one of the filthy walls (and of course there's now way to exit without touching the door handle). Disgusting!

I go here on average once a week. The donuts are excellent and usually very fresh, even in the evening (it's open until 9 pm at the time of this writing) and it's run by a woman who I swear works there all day every day of the week with her son. Best donuts in town.

I fell in love with the old fashioned donuts; they are the best I have ever had. Fresh, sweet but not too sweet. All the other donuts are fantastic as well. Service is top tier. I travel to Boise from San Francisco and make sure to stop at D K Donuts every time I am in town.

One of the best classic donut shops in town. None of that too sweet Krispy Cream style donut coated in sprinkles or filled with cheap sugar goo. The DK donuts are classic and delicious. Yum yum yum. Suggest picking up 6 or twelve and heading to a local park with the kids. Helps burn off the sugar rush... then head home for a nice sugar crash/play induced nap after.

Great Donuts. Great selection. Making them fresh all morning. They do go quick, because space is limited and quantities are low. As people are buying multiple dozen. But they're trying to get him out as quickly as possible. And you usually have really fresh donuts. Good coffee and good prices. Easy to get in and out of the parking lot.

This place may sell good, fresh donuts at times, but I picked up a dozen around 8am and they tasted like they were 3 days old. Anywhere else would have been better tasting than these. The price is also not excellent as stated in other reviews. A dozen of basic donuts (especially when stale) for $9 is not cheap.

Friendly staff! Open early, which is great. Easily accessible from state or 13th, a light allows for good traffics flow. Maple and chocolate bars sell out quickly in the morning, best to order ahead or be prepared to wait. Doughnuts are fresh and delicious at a reasonable price.

Hands down the best donuts in downtown Boise. Thry have extremely light, crispy, and fresh maple bars with a great assortment of other donuts but the maple bars are my favorite. Prices are super affordable and the employees are always very kind. Open early for pre work pickup.

DK isn't fancy, but they have the best donuts in Boise. Especially their braids and cake donuts. My favorites are the cherry cake, blueberry cake and chocolate braids. They have 5 air pots with delicious serve-yourself coffee. Love it!

I've lived in Boise for over 25 years and I've never been to DK Donuts. Stopped there yesterday since I saw that John Calipari, coach for Kentucky seem to like it a lot. Pretty good donuts but fairly plain. Boise needs a Dunkin Donuts but DK is a good second choice.

It's the closest donut shop to home. It was super crowded on Saturday morning, could barely get in the door. The donuts are good. They got a basic selection but not much more, exception being some bacon nailed bars. They didn't even have any jelly filled donuts which was disappointing. Did someone buy them all before I got there or do they just not make them? I should have asked. They didn't have my other favorite but that's no surprise bc many places don't carry French Cruellers. So I give three stars bc the selection was average. The service is very friendly, but I think I'm going to have to keep looking for a better shop for my tastes.

A must stop whenever I'm in the potato state. The prices are reasonable and the staff is always friendly especially when dealing with indecisive 8 year olds who can't decide. Alawys fresh selection anytime of day. You can grab a dozen and roll or eat there like a gentleman. On a side note to a previously posted review, bacon goes well with anything!

Well regarded among all the locals I know as the best donut shop in town. If you like more cake-y donuts I'd recommend Guru. But if you want the traditional donut shop with lighter dough and all your favorites, D K is the place to go. I've come to know their bacon maple bars as their signature donut (first place I've seen do it). They do it really well, the bacon is good bacon, thick chunks, not bacon bits for a salad, or cheap "fast food" bacon.

The people running the place seem friendly and appreciative of our business. Dropped by for a surgery snack and some hot cocoa to warm up after a cool fall bike ride. Doghnuts we're soft and fresh. I wish they filtered the water because the chlorine taste in the water threw off the taste of the hot cocoa. Seats/tables were a little sticky and needed a good cleaning. Would try them again. Prices were fair.

I get donuts all over town and DK Donuts is still my favorite. When you eat one of their donuts you know it was made fresh you know it was made that day and when I get a filled donut (bismark) it is actually filled with the stuff I wanted to be in there and not just a little splotch in one end of one side of the donut. They truly epitomize the word filled. I cannot say that I have ever had a better Maple bar and I have eaten at a lot of expensive donut places and these are still the best. I still miss the cream filled donut which is actually a triangle field full of who knows what kind of cream but I haven't been able to get one of those for at least two years that I know of but that does not stop me from coming back.

Heard the hygiene here is less than adequate. Also went in about 4 or 5 years ago for a milkshake and there was nobody at the counter. Was about to leave when a child came to the register to take my order. Left anyways. Arent there child labor laws here in Idaho? It is idaho so I guess you never really know.

I found this place while on a Greyhound bus trip from Lincoln, Nebraska to Portland, Oregon. It was the only place near the Greyhound bus station. A week later my boyfriend took the same Greyhound from Evanston, Wyoming to Portland and I begged him to stop by and bring me back some of their donuts. He did. Today I'm in Boise, amazingly and had to stop again. It's my favorite donut shop in the world! Thank you Mr. Long for your incredible donuts!
