Celebrate Washington's birthday with a cherry pie from Carsten's Bakery. Best pie in town. Not your typical restaurant pie, but real honest to goodness make you feel happy pie. The also have great danishes, donuts, and other pastries. Glad I found it. Sharing with the neighbor tonight.

GREAT FOOD and really nice people! You can get one of the best sandwiches you will ever have here, and it's not too expensive, and the people who work here are always super polite and friendly. There's not really much of a place to eat, so it's take-out only, but once you park someplace and open up your bag, you'll have an AMAZING sandwich. They also have lots of delicious baked goods, cookies, little cakes, and tons of stuff that I am not supposed to eat too often. I usually just grab the nice healthy fresh sandwiches, but when I do grab something from their baked goods cases, I will admit it is probably the best tasting baked stuff you can find in Idaho Falls. My only complaint is actually a HUGE one for me .... they are NOT open on Monday's, which is the ONE day I am always downtown. So, almost EVERYTIME I go there is a Monday and they are closed. On the few occasions each month when I get downtown on a different day, their great food only makes me even MORE upset when I see the CLOSED sign on Mondays. I guess that really is more of MY problem then their problem, but once you try their food you will understand why it's always upsetting to see the word CLOSED on their door, no matter what day it is. I wish Idaho Falls had 4 places like this , and open 24 hours every day.

Love everything they make. The atmosphere is cute. I like that they are a third generation bakery. Can't go wrong, but bring cash. They take cards but charge a little extra.

Super fresh! I ordered mixed donuts for our office. They were excellent. Donuts are getting to be mostly dry, freshly thawed and not really worth eating. Carstens made donuts worth eating again!

Awh! I go for the lemon danish and the raisin cookie! Try the strawberry rhubarb pie or fill up with a maple bar. Obviously a great place with a large selection. Go on a Saturday morning between 9 and 10. I usually treat myself to Carstens after a haircut at Vogues beauty salon- excellent reward

We arrived in the late afternoon, close to closing time. Unfortunately, everything they make is so yummy that most things were sold out by the time we got there. We were able to get a piece of cheesecake and a mint brownie. Both were delicious! We will be back, hopefully earlier in the day so we have a bigger selection to choose from!

This is the best bakery in Idaho Falls! I went to the beauty school next door in square I gained 20 lb haha! I really suggest this for just a donut for a treat or wonderful pie for the holidays! They also make a great cheesecake
