We were so impressed by the wedding cake and cookies that a cake life made for us, tasty and beautiful! Delivery was professional and on time too. They are a tiny bit slow at email response (We are in Australia so hard to call/impossible to drop in!) But not enough to knock down the review. Highly recommended!

Ordered our wedding cake from A Cake Life and would highly recommend them! The communication was great to finalizing our order - they were so patient and accommodating with my requests and what I had envisioned. We ordered the coconut cake with pineapple filling and the second tier was devils food cake with cookies and cream filling. The cake was delicious and all of our guests were talking about it too! Beyond unprofessional and borderline just plain RUDE. The cake did not meet expectations especially with such a high price tag. Design looked like a grocery store cake, upon being unhappy things just got much, much, worse. Asked for a refund several times and the owner basically refused and kept insisting they would just fix it if we would wait. I would recommend finding a different bakery to fulfill your cake needs. Also, you’d think it would have at least TASTED good. Unfortunately, it was terrible. Walmart makes better cakes.

I HIGHLY recommend getting your cake from this wonderful company! Me and my husband got a wedding cake and cupcakes with special requests and they were wonderful about making sure we got exactly what we wanted, even with us ordering from Pennsylvania for our destination wedding in Hawaii. Everyone LOVED the cake and cupcakes and my husband and I still talk about how we have never had any cake so delicious. I wish I could get their cake sent to my home so I can eat it all the time!

Just got married earlier this month and have to share the wedding bliss. I highly recommend Kristin from A Cake Life! She was incredibly nice and designed my wedding cake exactly to what I envisioned. The best part, is she made my top tier GLUTEN FREE. Anyone who has to have GF foods knows how hard it is to find gluten free baked goods that actually taste good. It was delicious! Couldn't even tell it was gluten free. She used the exact flavor as my other 2 tiers, which was the Strawberry Shortcake. Another important part, is my guests loved the cake. She is great at responding to emails, and booking an appointment is highly recommended. Don't expect to just walk-in and dump the "million wedding" questions. She values your time, and your time is worth spending it with her. So again, highly recommended!!

As a wedding planner and coordinator, I have worked with many different vendors. Kristin not only makes beautiful and delicious cakes but she is so easy to work with. She is quick to respond to my emails and phone calls. I can depend on her to be on time and to provide the best service. I have seem many cake catastrophes in my years as a coordinator but Kristin's knowledge and years of experience puts her work on the top of my list of preferred vendors. I LOVE working with her!

If your looking for an awesome wedding cake(or any cake) on Oahu look no further! This place is perfect! Strawberry shortcake is on point! I live in California and searched around online for a place on Oahu, there are several but no one has Kristin! I was only in email contact and let me say she couldn't have done a better job if I supervised in person! Very professional and pays awesome attention to details! The cake was exactly what we wanted. We sent a photo with a few adjustments and they nailed it beautifully! The cake was exactly what the bride imagined and wanted! Everyone raved about how great it tasted it was absolutely perfect! Thank you Cake Life for making our wedding cake memories!

The receptionist was extremely rude to my partner and I. She contradicted herself 3 times, and didn't seem very well prepared to explain herself or their products/services. Don't use this service, go to Paradise Pastries.

Saw business hours so walked over to see what cakes they might have. But sadly sign on door says [now] by appointment only. So they may have great cakes and service but I dont know. Will have to find another place for my birthday cake. :-(

Loved our wedding cake from A Cake Life! We had a simple, small cake (buttercream frosting and lemon raspberry) delivered to our reception site. Our guests loved it! Kristin was very responsive to my suddenly changing mind about florals and what to do with our cake topper. The flowers looked great and the cake was delicious!

I ordered our wedding cake from here and was not disappointed! The look of the cake was perfect, the coconut cake was moist, and the pineapple filling was the perfect pairing! My wife and I don't typically like buttercream icing, but this one was good. My only mild complaint...they spelled my wife's name wrong, and yes, I confirmed I spelled it correctly on the order form. :)

Kristen made the most amazing 3-tier Wedding Cake for my daughters Wedding last Saturday January 7, 2017. It was big and tall and perfectly arranged... she hand designed white lace on the cakes and it looked amazing! The cake tastes great too' would recommend this company to all wedding couples! and it looked fantastic

The cake arrived late to our reception which had an impact on the reception agenda causing issues, despite calling and re confirming the day before the required set up time. When the cake arrived late, staff did not really seem to care and gave not even a simple apology. The cake itself was average and not worth the money spent

I ordered a small gender reveal cake and sent a picture of how i wanted it to look. I was so happy when i picked up the cake it was beautiful and delicious! They definitely helped make my gender reveal more memorable. They worked with me through email and everything was perfect! Will use again! Thank you!

No aloha and no mahalo served here. Buttercream did not taste like butter cream. I was not impressed with the cake and I was not impressed with the rude attitude received when we picked up the cake either. Acted as if we were wasting her time when there was no one even in the shop.

A cake life charged me nearly $690 for a cupcake tower of 96. Kristin's work was impressive in her photos and her cake tasting very moist. Her communication was excellent until after my party. I emailed her to let her know her cupcakes were very dry and that i preferred not to write a review. But with no response to my email which was kind and of concern. She never e mailed me back. So sad and disappointed. Maybe it's just a job.

Owner Kristin taking advantage customers during Hurricane Lane. This is by far the worst customer service in history. Currently in the middle of Hurricane Lane, we contacted the company owner Kristin informing her that due to life threatening weather the wedding was called off. We asked to possibly working something out, she became immediately upset informed us that she will still charge us regardless of weather. Understandably we agreed however we asked that she follow the contract and drop it off on Saturday at the venue to our wedding coordinator. She refused and stated she can drop it off on Sunday. We asked since she couldn't fulfill her end of the agreement if she was willing to work with us on a compromise. Kristin refused and was very upset that we even asked. The owner has been very condescending and rude. Do not use this vendor!!!
