Bunuelo no tenia queso. El chorizo frio y eso no era chorizo colombiano. La verdad me gustaba venir a mucho aca pero ya no es lo mismo que antes. Me gaste 11 dollares en: un chorizo ,avena ,buenuelo y arepa... lo mejorcito fue la avena y la arepa pero no mas. Do not take shortcuts, cook the food the way is cooked in Colombia. Manejare 10 millas mas arriba al otro restaurante colombiano de ahora en adelante.

There is not any other lunch place you can get a special with beef or chicken, rice, plantains, a big bowl of soup and another side for like $8. If I lived in Lawrenceville I would eat there more often

I came here quite a few times but recently their service got worst. Came in one day around 5pm set at the table for 20 min without the waiter to even ask me why I am there. Tonight I am walking in, sit at the table and the waiteress start speaking to me in Spanish. I could not understand much of what she was saying for 30 sec but that the kitchen is closed even when I got inside 30 minutes before their closing time.I end up leaving the place both times. I used to like this restaurant but not anymore after my last few experiences. It really depends of the mood that they are in at the time you arrive there. Unless you catch them in a good mood you will end up leaving hungry.

I only can say please don't go to this ugly place, I went there on May 21st 2017 and everything was so wrong, our waitress was disrespectful just because we didn't want any overheat or burned food, then the owner came to our table and was even worse, he started yelling and even telling me I was a liar, I answered back on the same terms and told him to go away and leave us even eat or go, but the best thing out of this was that the plantains were burnt even after of this initial lecture. Please don't go to this place, your visit won't be pleasant. If anyone need to confirm with me this information you just let me know and we'll talk. thank you.

Food was good... nothing over the top but good. The service, however, was really slow... the empanadas took 25 minutes to come out due to a large order that was placed after us arriving there. They did give an additional complementary empanada and 3 complementary pandebono. Overall an ok experience.

We don't live anywhere close to the restaurant but every time we are close we stop in to grab some delicious Colombian food and drinks! Love the Empanadas, Bandeja Paisa and Roscones! They sell other products from Colombia and it's nice to be able to purchase them because we can't find certain things where we live. When you visit to eat here you won't be disappointed!!!!

I love this place! I’m from Colorado, where we have good Latin cuisine on every block. It’s been a challenge finding the same quality and flavor like back home. But Trigos never disappoints! They have wonderful service, fresh squeezed juice, delicious pastries and food! I bring family and friends here all the time , and I’ve never spent more then $60! This will be a regular stop for me !

The food is really good (though there might be slight variations in taste). Sadly, the service is NOT good for ALL customers. Be prepared to order first and have your food come out last, when a known customer/friend appears. Everyone should get the same service, regardless of where they're from! Ridiculous!

I’m giving 4 stars because MOST of the time everything is top notch. Unfortunately, not this time. I live in Athens and a special trip with me to Lawrenceville to get dinner. And to be honest I’m upset with the avocado (obviously past its expiration date) and my (burnt) arepa. Drove 50 minutes each way. Thanks a lot!

You get a lot of food, it isnt terribly expensive, and their baked goods like the empanadas are the best ive had. As far as the entrees, everything was pretty good, but not amazing. I will go back for sure to give another entree a try. The flank steak I got was kinda odd and needed more sauce. I wonder if stewing it would have been better considering how it turned out. It was like the meat was tender but the fat was still stringy so it had a few unpleasant moments. Or maybe trimming the fat and rendering it so the meat could cook in the rendered fat could work. I dunno, but it was a lot of meat and the parts that werent hung up by stringy fat and had enough sauce were quite good. I see a lot of complaints about the service, but as someone who doesnt speak spanish, they did as good a job as can be expected using their 2nd language, so no complaints.

Horrible service, waitresses very rude even when making mistakes on order they still cant even offer am apology to customers. I didnt only witness this with the table next to me, a few days ago I experieced the mediocre service. Food is not even close to the real colombian food. Horrible food , service is a nightmare. ...................I’m here at 7:14pm 5/22/2018 and they don’t close until 8pm everyday except sunday. Lady looked at me with a look of disgust and told me they was closed when it’s people, that’s a different RACE than me sitting down eating having a convo smh. I really liked this place but i will not be returning! They probably don’t care anyway for my business. 2 weeks ago i tried to place a pick up order over the phone and the guy didn’t want to take my order because it wasn’t big enough but you closing in 40mins. I’m still sitting here at 7:22pm and a guy of another race went in and is now placing an order at the counter like i was going to do lol racism at its best lol if you think I’m lieing look at the pictures. Oh yeah I’m a young black man!

I would never go back! The service appears to have gone down recently and the food has gone from decent to dog food... The one thing Trigos has to its credit is that it is in a great central location, otherwise you'd be better off taking the time to go a little further and get good Colombian food... The staff has a bad attitude and are rude... The food is bland (esp. The beans) and overpriced for what you actually get... Cafetal and La Mona are not too far and have much better food...

Great soups and empanadas! The ají is perfect and you get as much as you want. You get a lot of food for your order. The breads are soft and fresh! Order a pan de yucca and a buñuelo. The wait staff is very friendly and accommodating. I like to order just the soup without the side and eat it with empanadas and breads.

Came here for the first time and never even received my kids meal. It took them 40 minutes to bring it out, by that time my boyfriend & his mom had both finished eating. I had told her to cancel it because I didn’t have a ton time for lunch. Don’t come unless your prepared to wait, the server was lazy and inattentive.

The food was decent, it is a good portion size for the price. I came in with my family, we were out of town and decided to bring the husband and kids in for something different. The customer service sS horrible, I explained that it was our first time coming in, it seemed they didn't want to speak English although the young girl later spoke to us English. I had an idea what Colombian food is about, as I was raised in Florida and around some Colombians. The waiter didn't give me the Arepa I wanted (sweet one) and didn't think I would know the difference. My kiddo accidental spilled a drink and as a mother I was 200% willing to clean it up, i asked for a mops and napkins to another waiter and she just ignored me. I was waiting on the table to be cleaned for 15 minutes while all the waiters were just behind the counter not even checking on their tables. I had to talk to a manager, he seemed nice but at the end, nothing was resolved. Will not ever go back.

This columbian restaurant is very authentic! I've been here twice and the food quality is always the same. Fresh and consistently on point... The service is excellent. Our waitress is very knowledgeable of the menu items and super friendly. The dishes that we ordered were: "Mini Bandejo" "Pork belly & corn cake" "Shrimp with yellow rice and plantains" "Beef & chicken empanadas" "Coffee & Hot Cocoa" *Order the hot cocoa. They make it the traditional way. It's a must! *Empanadas are great! They're made in house and the corn meal crust is crunchy. Great snack!

On the expensive side. The "ají" here is sub par and they only give you an ounce per person. If you want more they charge you for it (and it's not even that good honestly). I had the "Pollo a la plancha". The chicken was delicious, but they don't give you beans or avocado with your meal like most other Colombian places do. My husband ordered a chorizo meal and it was mostly all rice and one six-inch sausage. He was bummed. I would rate this just "ok".

Food was great! The lady that took my phone order was RUDE! I asked about the special and she hung up. I called back and I asked again for the special and she told me while I was deciding for maybe 10 seconds she told me to she had other calls and I needed to make up my mind. I literally took 10 seconds!! I asked her what all was included and she said just to call back because she had to many calls and I couldn't decided. Very rude. But the food is great. From other reviews it seems like this is the only problem. They need to talk to the staff. We are paying guest and forgive me for asking what the meal comes with but I dont know.

Food was amazing good like my friend Linda was to make for me! However, the service I received was absolutely AWFUL!! I waited forever to be served and was finally seen by a waitress from the other side of the restaurant who finally realized I had not been served and stopped my waitress and told her. Then she still was not pleasant or smiling. If I had not been referred to Trigos, I would have gotten up and left! I really hope they retrain their staff and improve their customer service. My advice is to get the food to-go or hope you get the one waitress who saw me.
