I’ve tasted many red velvet cakes but ABSOLUTELY NONE as great as the one from here. It was SO moist and flavorful. And didn’t taste like cocoa the way some people make it. Every time I come to the city I have to get a piece of cake‼️

We have used this bakery for years, but it has gone down hill. We got a half dozen assorted cup cakes last Thursday and they were not fresh. The cupcake was so dry that it literally crumbled apart so bad that you couldn't even eat it with a fork. The frosting was also hard. Never. Again. Whole Foods bake goods are more fresh, 1/2 the price and around the corner.

Here's the deal. Best cupcakes and cakes I've ever had. Granted, I don't eat sweets as much as other folks probably do, but this place is fantastic! I've had a few friends work here over the years and have come to really appreciate this place. It's a staple in Buckhead and they've expanded many times to other neighborhoods (Roswell, Decatur, Dunwoody), even the airport. They have the perfect amount of cake to topping and the flavors are rich with subtle hints of different fruits, sweets, and ingredients. I, personally, recommend Strawberry, but the White-Chocolate and Cookies & Cream are close seconds. Be careful, this place is addicting and will ruin all other bakeries you go to now.

I frequent the Buckhead location only because the cakes are amazing. However, on my last two occasions the stocky guy was very rude. I wanted to wait to write a review being that everyone is entitled to a bad day. The second visit he was just as nonchalant as the first encounter. I'm sure he feels that the cakes are good so people will still come. Good products are great, but good service is PRICELESS!

The cake and cupcakes are soooo moist, they literally melt in your mouth. If I ever got married I seriously would let them make my wedding cake!!

Piece of Cake is one of the best bakeries in Atlanta for actual cake. I'm not an icing fan so the mile high swirl of buttercream icing on a teeny tiny cupcake (all too common in bakeries today) doesn't excite me. My favorites at Piece of Cake include the caramel, orange and key lime flavors. They also make delicious pound cakes. I don't love the cupcakes here. The ones I've had pale in comparison to the layer cakes. Sometimes the cupcakes are dry and the flavor just doesn't seem the same as what you get in the layer cake. If moist, homemade, delicious cake with a normal amount of icing is your thing...be sure to check out Piece of Cake.Now with locations throughout the city is easier than ever to get. Although they don't decorate cakes, this bakery is still my go-to for birthdays, baby showers and any special event.

I have gone to this place since I was 3. I ised to go when I came from gymnastics for a sweet treat. Now I am 10 and get one EVERY week. They are so delicious! They melt in your mouth every second. They are the best treats every. I definitely requeste this for a after school, work, or even just for a cupcake. I wish they had a little bit more flavors or more sweets on the menu.

I did not try this product at the actual store but rather at the airport hence my rating of the service should not reflect my opinion of the store. The product however was fantabulous!!! I had the yellow cake with chocolate frosting it was sooo good I plan to order one for the holiday table

All products from this place come 'highly recommended' and I've told ALL my friends (and those others) about (OMG) the most delicious cakes since my Auntie's! There is however ONE downside/blemish, as I have noticed in other reviews, and I guarantee you, the horrible customer service experienced was displayed by the 'dark-haired' female at the front counter. I sincerely hope she is NOT one of the owners, though she exhibits behavior of 'owning' the entire Buckhead area! The owners should be extremely gracious their product is so superb because this lady would deter you from ever returning; HOWEVER, there is a saving grace in their mix, hence my "good" rating on service!.... the tall guy who also work the front counter is a joy to have serve you! She on the other hand should remain in the back, perhaps under a glob of icing to sweeten her nasty disposition! ... but O' YES, I am going back, again & again!

Piece of cake is the best bakery in Atlanta area but I will not visit this location again. The big white guy was rude to not only my husband and I but to another customer as well. You would think customer service would be excellent in the Buckhead area but it isn’t at this location.

Hands down the BEST cake/cupcakes I've ever had. I absolutely love this place. The red velvet cake is amazing. They have a good variety and they sell smaller and larger cupcakes, as well as whole cakes. This time of year, the peppermint cake is a great choice.

Who hasn't heard of this place? My weakness is dessert...... cookies, cakes, pies, ice cream. I believe that dessert should be consumed BEFORE any other meal. Lol.... anyway, this place is great! My favorite is the strawberry cake! It's perfection made edible! Try anything you like, I'm sure you'll be pleased. They have locations all over Atlanta. A slice of cake is $5.50. A small cupcake is $2.85, a large is around 4 bucks. You can also order whatever you like for pick up. Enjoy!

Really happy with the customer service I received. These were a surprise gift and there was a mishap with the delivery, and I was informed via email, and then when I called into the store, I was offered a redelivery with no fuss, OR a fresh batch and delivery the next day, from a very friendly member of staff.

There isn't a bakery in Atlanta that makes better cakes. The yellow cake with chocolate icing, caramel cake and red velvet cake are always moist. The whimsical gift items in the shop are a fun add on to their cakes, cupcakes and other snack items. Even though getting in and out of this particular location can be challenging at times, the treats make up for it. Decadent frosting, rich taste in every bite.

We're from Texas and based on all the good reviews, we ordered a cake from here to celebrate a few bdays while we were in town. Overall, it was a disappointment. Even though I prepaid, they wouldn't put names on the cake or change the icing on the sprinkles bday cake from cream cheese to buttercream. I almost didn't place the order when I learned they weren't willing to customize at all. I should have gone with my initial feeling and found another bakery. The cake was okay but not as moist as I'm accustomed to. The frosting was decent, but all in all, I've had much better cakes from the grocery store.

I haven't had been to Piece of Cake in years but I went today to pick up two cakes, a red velvet and a german chocolate cake and they both are extremely dry, nothing like the moist, melt in your mouth cakes that I remember from before. They must have someone new baking the cakes because a few years back they were moist and impressive. Extremely disappointed because I expected so much more and I just wasted my money.

I was craving dessert and decided to stop here for a slice of Red Velvet Cake because I am still on the hunt to match the one I had in Chicago 6-7 years ago. First, if this location is busy, parking is excruciating. Very few spaces out front but I am not aware of any spaces in the rear. Secondly, most slices are $5.50 but the slices are quite adequate. Third, I was disappointed in the flavor because I am looking for a certain taste, but it was okay. As with any cake, the edges are not as moist as the center. Needless to say, I would venture back to try a different flavor that carry no expectations on my behalf.

I stopped at the bakery a couple days before my daughter bday in aug. she loves the Birthday Cake flav BUT they were completely out of those slices. We picked a beautiful chocolate slice. Oh well. Maybe when we stop in today for my bday sweet treat i can get my fav slices of Dk choc anything, German chocolate and anything with coconut.

Piece of Cake has the best cake in town! The chocolate/chocolate is my most ordered and reminds me of a Texas sheet cake, not a traditional chocolate cake (I think that's a good thing). My second favorite is Key Lime Cake, which is again not like a traditional key lime cake. I have had one issue with rude service, but overall have been very pleased with my visits here. They offer a BOGO deal on Tuesdays!

It's called Piece of Cake so don't bother with the cupcakes (which are just so-so). Stick with slices or a whole cake and you'll be in heaven. The cake is moist and the frosting is creamy. You can't stop at just a few bites, regardless of your self control. Red Velvet, Vanilla/Vanilla and Coconut are personal faves. They provide forks and also have a frequent shopper card. #buckhead #bakery #noselfcontrol

First time ordering from Pieces of Cake and will never order again. Went to pick up our son's birthday cake today and was told when we arrived they already sliced up our cake. I'm assuming sold pieces to someone else. Didn't have the courtesy to let us know before we got there. Then offered to sell us cake with slices missing. Won't be coming back. Update We were contacted by Piece of Cake and they offered us another cake. I am happy that they tried to fix the situation and have changed my rating.

Christmas dinner with family—I purposely purchased the largest German chocolate cake because it’s the entire extended family’s favorite, and I knew everyone would want to take some home. It was a disaster as you can see from the pictures. Not only did no one want to take any home—no one even wanted to try it. It was embarrassing and disappointing.

Well, I don't think I have ever had such a great experience ordering a cake as an anniversary gift for my son and his wife! The ease of ordering on line was amazing, and the fact that I could have delivery (and a reasonable charge for that too!) the next day was fantastic. We had a mishap with delivery as a surprise, and they were MORE than accomodating to make sure they got their cake on their anniversary! They actually upgraded the cake because of the delivery issue! WOW. And then, my son and his wife were thrilled to get a cake from Piece of Cake...my son said, "Mom, how did you know they make the BEST cakes in Atlanta?!"...I didn't, but I do now! I sent them a carrot cake, and it must have weighed 20 lbs...they sent me pictures and the empty plate when through! He said it was truly the best carrot cake he had ever had. I will definitely be calling there again! And their prices are great for a perfectly delicious and beautiful homemake cake! And p.s. Thank you Caroline for helping get that cake to them on time!

My husband and I had the red velvet cupcakes and I must say we threw them out after a few bites. The cream cheese frosting was pure sugar, not even close to a real cream cheese frosting. Not worth the money at all.
