The wife and I have been customers of McEntyre's Bakery since they were in Jonquil Plaza on Atlanta Road back in the 80's and things sure have changed there and not for the better!! The quality of their cakes are way down, quality vs quantity and quality lost!! The Thumbprint cookies are way overpriced at $.45 each for a cookie the size of a quarter and they used to actually have the thumbprint impression that held the frosting. We got a dozen this past Saturday and the quality was horrible!! We also ordered a birthday cake with Strawberries and was set to pick it up on Saturday but it was apparently made on Thursday or Friday. The clerk had to take the cake downstairs to replace the strawberries, the cake was dried out and stale and the frosting was too sweet!! The pastries were good as always just overpriced!! Don't know if we will be back!!

McEntyre's bakery did my wedding cake over 35 years ago and I still go there today! If you get a birthday cake, get the cream cheese icing with butter cream icing roses etc on it.. it is sooo delish!! :]

Husband bought a birthday cake for me from here, The cake was so heavy and I knew it was going to be so thick by the weight. Just as I thought I cut the cake and was too thick and tasted like pancake mix. They don't make fudge marble or use chocolate so that was very disappointed

WAY overpriced. I was looking for a themed cake for my son's birthday. They were the only place local that could make it for me. I paid $65 for a single layer 1/4 sheet covered on fondant. Did not have a good flavor. Will not be ordering from them again.

We have loved this place in the past... Had my aunt in town to show her around. We placed our order and paid and started walking out then noticed half our order was never put in the bag. They were apologetic and added the missing pie, then we get home and they had given me the wrong pie, still dreaming about the lemon ice box we should have gotten. My aunt didn't even try one thing after that. I felt so bad :-( some of the pastries were still on par but service has dropped)

McEntryre's Bakery made my wedding cake. This is a family owned bakery with excellent customer service. Ryan was so helpful in putting together the perfect wedding cake for us. The price for the cake was very reasonable compared to other bakery's in the area. Other bakery's were asking for a lot more money and not better quality. The cake was absolutely delicious and all of our guests loved it!

We went there for lunch today. I ordered the chicken salad wrap with cole slaw and I added a bavarian cream donut. The chicken salad wrap was very salty; too much for my taste. The cole slaw was good. The donut could have been better. I expected more from this place considering what I've heard, but it was just good. It was okay and I enjoyed getting out of the house. Before I got my food I almost ordered a to-go container of the chicken salad since I love chicken salad so much, but I'm glad I didn't. Chicken salad, though, seems to be a hit or miss kind of thing.

Their pecan danishes, lemon danishes, and pimento cheese are THE absolute best!!! My children love their donuts. And they have an awesome discount table, and delicious cheese sticks. Their coffee is alright, better than Dunkin Donuts, not as good as Starbucks. Their staff is helpful, but not the friendliest.

This place doesn't understand the fact that salt enhances flavor in baked goods. Their cakes and cookies taste like sugar that has had a little bit of butter and flour added to it. There is zero nuance to the flavor. It's disgusting. Also, I can always taste the residue of whatever surface cleaner they use at the store in their baked goods.

Cannot recommend this place enough. They've provided delectable baked goods for my family, my neighbors, even my executive team. I've used them to mail 'Thank You' loaves of apple bread to clients who were delighted with the taste. Truly a special place that offers incredible goodies. I highly recommend TV Bars, Chicken Salad, Thumb Print Cookies, Cinnamon Fries, and, of course, cake! Best icing EVER!

Not a organized place for lunch. They need a better system of ordering and paying. May need to give people numbers and go in order. Our sandwiches were wrong and there was people ordering behind us. We had not even ordered. Soggy sandwiches when the lady said they were fresh. The owner well a man was very rude to us when we tried to explain. Not getting my business ever again. Get organized when you run a business. It really makes a difference when things are ran correctly.

We ordered a birthday cake for my grandsons birthday. The custom cake for 71.00 was dry flat and nothing but icing. The cake tasted stale the very next day. We won't be going back. Publix cake would have been much better at 1/4 the price.

I have a love/non-love relationship with this bakery. On the plus side, they DO make very good cakes and baked goods. We have used them several times and they have (so far) always produced very good items. But there is a huge problem with their success - it's nearly IMPOSSIBLE to reach them sometimes. We have had to find other sources for items for parties sometimes because their phone line stays busy so much that literally we have tried to reach them for two days in a row and all we got was a busy signal. When you can reach them, their phone lines have a strong static/crackle sound and they're so loud you can usually barely hear whoever is on the other end. Very chaotic. So - in terms of their product, I'd give them 4 1/2 stars. In terms of "customer experience" when ordering, I'd drop it to 1 1/2 to 2 at best. Just put on your "patience hat" when trying to reach them.

McEntyre's is amazing! They're my go-to spot for cakes, pastries, and all things baked goods. I've used them for several years now, and everything is always delicious and fresh. Most recently, they were able to make a cookie cake that was 1/2 peanut butter cookie, and 1/2 chocolate chunk. The guests raved about the flavor, and it was devoured. They always have great customer service too. Happy, happy customer.

Unfortunately, the quality of the bakery has gone down considerably. I am so sad to see the decline in the cookies, pastries, and cakes. I use to love to pop in and purchase the delicious baked goods. However, on my last two visits I was stunned at the poor quality. The cakes and cookies are downsized yet priced higher. The cakes are unappealing and poorly decorated. Also the cookies are not fresh and the donuts....SIGH! Make a quality product and charge a price worth the value of the product.

I have been ordering cakes from this bakery for my daughters birthday every since she was 6 years old. Her 14th birthday is coming up soon. I wanted to order a cake for Saturday. When I called this morning to order a sheet cake, I was told that I had to put down a deposit because a sheet cake of a certain size was considered a specialty cake. I have never been asked to put a deposit down on a birthday cake before. I was kind of taken aback and decided to order elsewhere. Also, when I spoke to the manager, she was nice, but the person before her could have been more professional.

We had not had time to even notice the issue(wrong cake flavor) I received a phone call from the bakery they were willing to remake the cake and deliver it to my home. For a busy bakery to offer to remake my cake and deliver it to our house on a Saturday say so much. Thank you all so much. The cake we have looks great! I can not wait for my son to see his art work on his birthday cake!

Bought a Chocolate Devil's Food Cake with Fudge Icing for a birthday. The cake was old and the icing started to come off. The Cake was very dry and had a bad taste. The cake was uneatable and had to be thrown away. The cake was over priced, I could had bought a better cake at the grocery store. I will never go back to this place, it is the worst bakery that I have been too!!!

I was married on 11/14/14. On this day my cake arrived in the wrong color! I had a 4 tier cake with what was suppose to be accented with a black bow and a brooch in the middle. Instead I received a 4 tier cake with a purple bow and brooch in the middle. They completely dropped the ball and when I contacted the bakery about the issue they were extremely belligerent and completely lacked empathy for me as not only a customer but the actual bride having been brought the wrong color cake on her wedding day. During my phone conversation with the store (after the cake arrived on my wedding day) every time I tried to speak the lady kept cutting me off and wouldn't allow me to finish my sentences and refused to accept any responsibility in getting the color wrong. I asked her to please allow me to finish speaking before cutting me off but she simply refused to have a professional conversation with me. Also on top of not getting the color correct they also did not send all of the cake we ordered as well as paid for. We also ordered a second top layer that would be held and not touched for us to freeze, needless to say it wasn't delivered at all. I would not suggest anyone use them for an important event such as a wedding. They are not professional, they have zero customer service skills and will fall short PERIOD!

LOVE this place!!! The cheese danish is the best! The chicken salad is really good too; it is pretty plain (without giant grapes and nuts and such) but very tasty. My daughter loves to come pick out a cookie and have a fun little snack. The people are always nice and helpful.

I just ordered a birthday cake for my son this past weekend and I cant thank them enought for what a fantasic job they did! My son absolutly loves blaze and the monster machines cartoon show and they made his cake perfect to what I asked for. They went above and beyond. The cake was soo moist and sweet. My birthday boy couldnt get enough of his cake. To see the joy and happiness he got from seeing his cake was priceless. Thank you sooo much McEntyre's Bakery. I will be ordering all my cakes from you guys. Most deffinetly recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Very friendly and very well put together. Staff was soo sweet and welcoming. I stopped patronizing this Bakery 7 yrs ago because of unfriendly service and sweets that looked good but were often not good to eat. Today, after a long hiatus, I ventured into the bakery wondering if service had improved and if the taste of the sweets would delight my senses. I'm sad to report that nothing has changed!! The service was very perfunctory and certainly not friendly. The "mix it up" cake I bought contained 2 slices each of .. - Red Velvet That had only a hint of frosting, it was no cream cheese frosting, not very sweet at all. Bland. - German Chocolate Only a hint of frosting on the outside and practically no frosting between layers and the cake had no taste! No sweetness! No chocolate! Only a very bland, very dark cake. Disappointing! - Strawberry Too much artificial flavor in the cake and too much tartness in the frosting. Awful! - Carrott Too disappointed to even taste it. I won't be recommending any cake from this bakery. And, I won't be back.
