Honeymoon Bakery is the best place to go in Rome to order a special cake. I’ve had five birthday cakes made at Honeymoon so far, all with exacting decoration requests, including one that was a giant piece of sushi and one shaped like a cat. Honeymoon Bakery never fails to impress. The decoration staff have great communication and always understand how I’d like for the cake to come out. We have enjoyed each one of them for how they look and how they taste! Besides cakes, they have the cutest seasonally decorated cookies! We also love to stop by and get the occasional eclair or cream puff.

Staff and pastries were incredible. I highly recommend the cream puff and the frosted sugar cookies! I only wish they had not been hosting a birthday party during weekend/high traffic time. The group was a bit excessive, crowding the small dining area. Overall would recommend for a stop and go treat!

Hubby loved the mini cupcakes, but as a frosting expert, I was disappointed the frosting was made with shortening and not real butter. I'm picky about frosting. However, I don't usually like macarons, but the raspberry macaron I got on a whim here was delicious!

Honeymoon created a beautiful dessert bar and centerpiece cake for our wedding day and WOW it was delicious! Our tasting was delightfully easy and super fun! Kate was a breeze to work with and handled all of the intricate details for our order effortlessly. They delivered all of the desserts and set up the dessert bar for us! It was stunning and SUPER delicious! They have very competitive prices and create beautiful desserts!

I ordered a cake for my son's 3rd birthday last month, I ask if they could do a picture I had of buzz lightyear busting out of the cake. They said yes they could but it would cost a lot more. We agreed and I was very excited. However when we picked it up on his birthday I was very disappointed. It wasn't what we had asked for and I felt it was a sloppy buzz plopped on the cake. While the cake itself was delicious, I can't look at pictures from the party without being sad over how the cake turned out. We will never order custom cake from here again

Always friendly and quick service despite long lines. Everything we've had there is so good. We have to restrain ourselves when we order. Gelato, macarons, cookies, cakes, fruit tarts, etc. Try it all, especially the chocolate mousse. Also, recently remodeled so they have more seating inside or you can sit outside. Definitely a must if you're in downtown Rome.

One of the best and really only dessert places in Rome! We have tons of ice cream shops but not bakeries. The treats here are delectable and the staff is friendly. My favorites are frosted sugar cookies, chocolate mousse, Oreo cheesecake brownie, and the chocolate covered coconut bar! So yummy

Want a wedding cake? Come here. Want a delicious snack to satisfy that sweet tooth? Look no further. Feeling savory rather than sweet? They have you covered! From ice cream to cheese straws, I've not had a bad experience at Honeymoon. They even did our wedding and groom's cakes. The only bad part about it was, the guests ate all of both and we only got the tiny delicious pieces we crammed in each other's faces.

First time out of state visitors on a trip to visit family in Rome. All we can say is WOW! This is what a bakery should be. Lots of options in the case to choose from. We couldn't decide what we wanted because it all looked so good, so we bought 14 different things so we could sample a lot. Each and every item was fresh and tasted just as delicious as they looked. If we could give it 6 stars, we would. We will definitely be back on future trips!

The moment you walk through the door of Honeymoon Bakery, the scent of sugary yumminess hits you. For me, I am instantly transported back to my childhood and time spent shopping at Riverbend Mall and the promise of a treat from Lillian's bakery if we behaved. I guess I've always considered that the gold-standard since it was the first real "bakery" I remember going to. I'm a cupcake fanatic, and in my lifelong pursuit of that nostalgic perfection, Honeymoon Bakery is the closest I've come to that same excitement, smell, and taste. As for the atmosphere, Honeymoon beats out Lillian's by a long shot. This place is adorable and cozy, and the employees are always helpful and kind. Oh yeah, and their creative ability is over the top awesome! The cakes are almost too pretty to eat. My husband doesn't really care for sweets, but there's something there for those anomalies also in the form of sausage balls, cheese straws, and fresh baked breads. I almost forgot the gelato, two thumbs up for that as well.

What's not to love...I know, they don't always make that amazing focaccia bread..but if they have made it, buy it because it's outstanding. If not, don't fret, everything else (except the high fiber bread) is great. I'm not a fan of dry fiber bread, but if this is your thing, than by all means try the bread (my wife loves it). Don't be afraid to try this place for breakfast, it's a hidden gem for this.

My favorite item is the cream cheese brownie - very rich and not TOO sweet for my taste. I've never been disappointed with the treats here, nor the service. Everyone is kind! Even with other dessert shops popping up around town, Honeymoon Bakery is still my favorite. I recently went there for brunch for the first time and it was also delicious! Took a recommendation from a staff member and had an omelet. Highly recommend whether you're a long-time Roman or just passing through.

I called to order a cake for a coworker. All I did was drop off a small pack of peppermint patties and really let them do their thing. GOODNESS.... this cake was unbelievably delicious! It was chocolate inside with a minty white butter cream frosting with dark chocolate poured over..... O.M.G. Better than I would have ever asked for. This was a small cake to feed about 5 and was so affordable.
