Although I once lived in Claxton, I was only there for a 18 months and I was barely two when we moved to Savannah. Perhaps this is why Claxton fruitcake was always a family holiday tradition. My wife grew up in central SC and is also a fan of your fruitcake.

Very friendly. Picked up a few "Dark" fruit cakes. Learned that the dark cakes have molasses and allspice added. Also learned that the recommended eating temperature is chilled.

What did you do to my favorite fruit cake? Taste like is has a chemical such as finger nail polish remover in it. My brother in West Virginia warned me not to buy one but I didn't listen and purchased two of them.Just put both in the trash.

This is the bestest fruit cake EVER. This is the only fruit cake that I eat. I always buy 5 or six at a time. I went to Roses department store the other day and good gosh they were $3.99 each . That was the log size that I usually buy for $1.00 each. I guess if the $3.99 price stay in effect I will be on a fruit cake diet. I love these Claxton Company!!!!!!

I have looked forward to this fruit cake. This is the only fruit cake that I have eaten. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was to find out that it contains high fructose corn syrup, after giving a piece to my grandaughter. I will be requesting a full refund for the 3 that were purchased!

Thank you for baking such a wonderful fruit cake. My husband turned me on to it 15 years ago and we stock up on it every year. I have to hide it so the kids can't get to it. Doesn't matter how many I buy, we always run out by February. Am so happy I found your web sight....

A fruitcake lovers dream. You've seen the packages a thousand times now visit the gift shop. All kinds of fruitcake are available for purchase. Individual slices, a full cake cut in slices, chocolate covered pieces, and more. Be sure to get a tshirt. Nothing really special to see, it's a store, but worth the stop to say you have been to the fruitcake capital of the world.

I stopped in on Friday, april 19. I got there 20 minutes before it closed. I was really looking forward to my first time visit with my husband. It was not a happy visit. The man who helped us, acted extremely bothered. Acted like he was being bothered everytime we would ask him a question. Felt like he couldn't wait for us to leave. Very poor, unfriendly public relations.

I got this at the holidays at an Indian market off 95 and for a stand that has it sitting for a long time...I was totally excited when I took the first bite! Omg! It was so juicy, full of fruit and so tasty! Thanks for being amazing as always Claxton! I will never eat another brand of Fruit cake and recommend it to the world. If something wasn't right with urs then try again bc this was good enough to give a second chance!

I love Claxton fruitcakes ,the best. But this year with just about one slice left I felt something hard when I bit into the cake ,it was a 1 inch long piece of walnut shell .I'm lucky I didn't break a tooth . I'll have to think about buying again next year.

Absolutely the best fruitcake it reminds me so much of the kind my mother used to make in the 60s I especially like the 3 pound dark fruitcake ! Many of my friends who thought they didn't like fruitcake loved Claxton's when I served it at a party they all wanted to know where I got it.
