As you can see it has an average rating is discreet, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the rating is quite accurate. If many people have bothered to leave their opinion when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give evaluations when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Bakery belongs to the category of Bakery.
After months of bragging about how delicious all the desserts were especially the cupcakes, I was extremely disappointed. Have been telling my best friend all about it for months. We buy cupcakes and ended up throwing them away. They were very very dry, not moist at all. The best part about them was the icing on top and I wouldn’t even say that was delicious. Considering a cupcake is $10, it should at least taste good. What happened here? Sad.
The lobster tail was inedible. It tasted like plastic and horribly crunchy. Tasted like it had been sitting out for weeks
Omg the best buttercream frosting and cake ever!!!
Love the show and wanted to try his famous cannoli and lobster tail. Both were disappointing and obviously frozen. This is definitely a place to skip as other places have better desserts for less.
Stale danish and very disappointing cheesecake. Extremely overpriced for the quality, $18 for a danish and individual piece of cheesecake. I've bought better frozen desserts from the grocery store for a fraction of the price
They are no longer open!
We have been huge fans of the show we were so excited to go try it and we were so happy that we did it tasted delicious very fresh ingredients and very very delicious totally recommend it and everyone should try it we love buddy and his beautiful loving family along with his staff so much. It would be so awesome to meet them in person someday.
To hyped up and over priced
The service was good, but the fudge cake did not taste fresh.
Tricky to find but so worth it! Lots of scrumptious baked goods a little on the pricey side, but that’s Vegas. We order eclairs, a cannoli, and a napoleon and everything was yummy and a nice serving size.
Ruined our wedding, our whole experience with this bakery ruined our wedding trip in Las Vegas. Poorly organised, I spent an hour on hold to the shop 2 days before my wedding tryi g to sort everything out and after everything. They still didn't have my cake ready till 12pm on my wedding day when I had to be getting ready at 2 pm leaving me with 45 mins to get ready rush and be late. Staff was not friendly and did not care.
Waited in long line had to make the lady in line describe to me the deserts nothing labeled and no info anywhere. pictures of items on the screen are not even made or sold at this kiosk. I spent $100 on food that I threw in the trash! I have watched Cake Boss since its very first episode on TLC and I was so disappointed to drive 2 hours to this location with my 3 children and all of us be very disappointed. Staff is very unpleasant and do not speak smile or have any sort of customer service skills. The cupcakes were hard as a rock and cold! Lobster tails so hard couldn't break or chew. Canolis were dry cold and bitter. Even the cookies were hard and days old! I will never return to this location and if I ever run across another Carlos Bakery I am not even sure if I would purchase anything again unless tasted first and made fresh. DO NOT WASTE TIME AT THIS LOCATION!
My wife is a big fan and now I am .Smells amazing when you walk in .There are lots of goodies
Great desserts. It can be a wait but it's worth it. The head manager is very friendly and seems to really care about the quality and the customers.
Had chocolate cake, pecan brownie, chocolate cannoli, and a regular cannoli. The cake was meh, prefer my local grocery store cake, it was very sweet and way to much icing to cake ratio. The brownie was dry and lacked chocolate flavour. The cannolies were the best out of the things we got, we all thought the original cannoli was better than the chocolate one. Overall, I would not go out of my way to come back. If you have a sweet tooth, go to Gordon Ramsey's Pub and Grill in Ceasars Palace for Chocolate Sticky Toffee Pudding, you won't be disappointed.
I give the bakery 4 star on their flavours they are a bit overly sweet and they go for the easy deserts chocolate mousse and lobster tails etc I gave them 3 for price they are way over priced for what their product is I give a further 3 for their cake decoration. Their cakes are downright ugly. For someone who has a food channel show called cake boss, their cake styling is dated and looks like what you would find at a mom and pop shop. Definitely doesn't look like something from a high end bakery which considering the price it really should. So so place, wouldn't go out of my way to go there again, it's one of those novelty stops to say I've been there not much more.
Not worth the wait at all.
I have been here multiple times. During the day the line is long, as it is at all Carlo's bakeries. That should be expected. The only things I have not sampled is the gluten free cheesecake and their regular cake. Everything is wonderful! I have been there at different times of the day and at closing and the food is consistently great! The canolis taste authentically Italian and the cupcakes are moist and fresh. The lobster tails have the "chew" you expect from the real thing. Can you tell I love this place?
Services was lacking considering they have pretty high standards. Pastries are to die for they are absolutely delicious. But on the pricey side but totally justifiable.
It's fun to try since there is some game behind the name, the desserts stood up to expectations however it is a major attraction so it can get busy but the line does move quickly.
Great cake. Nice takeout deserts!
(Translated by Google) Okay but not amazing a bakery more (Original) Esta bien pero no increible es una panaderia mas
Sorry, but my desserts were all bad. I bought the cheesecake, lobster tail, canolli and cupcake. My cupcake was $6.95 and it was horrible. Cold and hard and so dense it was crumbling apart and the icing fell over in one big lump. I contacted the company via email and they offered me 15% off my next purchase..sorry there won’t be a next time. I told them buddy would be pissed if he saw what what they were serving.
Amazing amazing amazing pastries and everything else however it just doesn't carry the homey feel that the OG one does it feels like a chain now and not your local shop which it isn't anymore. Other than that it is great. I have never had anything I don't like here.
Decent baked goods but WAY overpriced. I would recommend the cannoli if you do come.
Disappointed in the options, extremely overpriced.
Some of the workers were nice and the others were trying to rush you to order with out even letting you look at everything. The sugar cookies didnt really have much flavor at all. There selection wasn't as good as last year.
Only for serious sweet lovers. Delicious delicious!!
Got there at the right time...no wait. The staff were very friendly. Cannolis were AMAZING !!!!
The bakery is just as you would imagine. The servers were friendly and efficient, the location of course was Italian inspired, and the decor just right. The best part of course is the food! It is as tasty as it looks! I had the canoli! Amazing! They even package it well for to-go orders and make it pretty! The actual bakery is small but you can watch them work as you wait.
Lobster tail lacks flavor. Cupcakes are worse than the box ones my mom makes. Very disappointed.
Awesome!
Sorry to say, but VERY disappointing! As we enjoy to watch the show, we decided to try it when visiting LV. Could not believe that my all favorite - canolli - tasted too crunchy and the shell seemed to be all made of shortening! The cream inside could not even mask the horrible aftertaste! Cheese Cake was crumbly and kind of lumpy, and for 11$ per small slice?!?! The only thing good, and we bought seven items ($51.00!!) was Chocolate moose cake. We are not coming back.. Thank you
I am a huge fan of cake boss and this is a question for buddy. I don’t live in the states that have Carlo’s bakery why don’t you have a bakery in Arizona? I’m a big fan and I love your products and I was wondering if you would ever consider opening a shop in Arizona?
Cheese danish was HORRIBLE! I hope the apply turnover is better. Nothing like I had hoped for. Too much TV HYPE. I don't eat cake, so I cannot comment on any of the cake products.
The cupcakes at Sam's club are better. The cannoli crust is chewy. We ordered a soda and it was literally the bottle and it was off a shelf HOT and you couldn't even get a cup of ice. Also there is no seating so you can't sit down and enjoy your deserts. This place is so over priced and NOT worth it. Save your money and go to Sam's club or anywhere else. HORRIBLE!!!
I'm a Vegas resident I have bought several different desserts. I love to bake at home. I was truly disappointed in the cakes & desserts. In my opinion the cakes were dry not MOIST. I suggest the baker be reinstructed on makeing a moist cake ie a dry cake means baked to long or left out to long before decorating all of the above. If Carlos Bakery fails it's due to the baker and not knowing how to bake in a dry climate. I have since stopped buying from the bakery. I can get better desserts at the buffets . So sad for CARLOS . MUCH TO MY DISSAPOINTMENT. BOXED CAKE MIXES ARE BETTER. SORRY CARLOS AND FAMILY. I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SAY THIS COMMENT BUT ITS TRUE. CARLOS PLEASE SEE WHATS GOING ON AT THE BAKERY OR YOU WILL HAVE TO CLOSE THE DOORS. FYI FROM A LAS VEGAS RESIDENT. SUGGEST YOU DO A STUDY ON HOW MANY CUSTOMERS RETURN AS REPEATS VS ONE TIME VISITS PURCHASERS ONLY !!!
I loved the cheese cake. It's always busy . Staff team are really welcoming and sweet. I feel it's bit over priced. But it's good to try once
Cakes are pricey but look amazing.
This place always has a line but it seems overrated. I got 2 lobster tails & 2 cannolis. They were all cold and kind of hard, expecially the lobster tails which were hard to chew. The taste was just okay, nothing special and I probably won't get it again. I may come back just to try something else on the menu due to their popularity. Looking forward to trying the cakes and cookies.
Ok ok type.you can try
Paid $45 for 5 pastries that would have tasted the same or better at the grocery store.
We were so looking forward to Carlo's Bake Shop. We bought a box of four cupcakes to take back to our room, and planed to go back to buy an assortment of treats when we left for home in SoCal. Saddly the cupcakes were so dry they were not worth eating. Two week old Hostess Cupcakes have been better. We won't be going back.
Nifty little shop. No seating. Designed around the concept of making food and you picking stuff off the shelf like most pastry shops. From the causeway from treasure island turn left as you enter. Past the door it's like the 2nd shop on the right.
Excellent!
As a huge fan of Buddy and his family for many years, I was quite excited to try Carlo's. I ordered a slice of cake since he's the Cake Boss. As many reviews have noted, the order/pay system is very slow and disorganized ... contributing to long lines and even longer wait times. Only one person ordering ahead of me on a Tuesday morning, and and yet it took 15 minutes. Next comes the sticker shock: $9.95 for a small piece of cake. I know it's Vegas, but this price makes it prohibitive for families. A family of 4 would drop $40 just for cake. One family in line left with their kids in tears because they simply couldn't afford it. The quality was good, but way too much artificial color in order to create a bright red / bright green cake. It was fun to eat at Carlo's ONCE. But I won't be back. Be prepared to wait even if they aren't busy...and be prepared to pay steep prices.
I was really excited to try this place because of Cake Boss. It was fun to see people decorating cakes behind a glass wall. The staff was friendly, but the girl who took our order (a cheese danish and an American cheesecake) didn’t seem to know much. She asked me what a cheese danish was, and I was like shouldn’t you be answering that for me? The cheese danish itself was not great, I’ve had much better. The cheesecake on the other hand was phenomenal. It’s pricey- we spent $17 on two very small menu items.
The line moved very quickly the staff was friendly, but do check you're bag before you leave because everyone makes mistakes. I ordered 2 cannoli one chocolate and one original and I was NOT disappointed, tasted AMAZING it was worth it. A cannoli are suppose to be served cold or room temperature due to the filling.
Absolutely beautiful birthday cake so happy we got it from here .
I really love watching Cake Boss on TV. When I heard that Vegas had a Carlos Bakery I was excited to get up there and taste the treats that we have seen on TV, especially the Cannoli, and lobster tails. The Cannoli was good I really have no complaints except for the price very expensive for what it is. You are paying for the brand. The Lobster Tail was was a big disappointment. The pastry seemed stale and very hard. It tasted like they made them in New Jersey and trucked them in. Hopefully they can work out the issues this far away from their headquarters.
So cute. The cream puffs were good. My spouse loved the cake, it wasn’t for me, the frosting tasted like butter. His restaurant across from it was amazing though.
It's just ok. Have been to better bakeries
Tricky to order. Loved cannoli and red velvet cupcake.
Stunned at prices....$18 for 4 cookies and 1 bottle of water. Frankly,my 4 year old grandson could have made better. Its to bad celebrities over charge for their not so great product. Only gave 3 stars because the pastry box and bag were really nice and I do like Buddy
Was very disappointed paid a high price to throw it all away as it tasted horrible.
Love it
The best bakery on the strip! I always make it a point to stop in. You never disappoint!
Wife and I went December 11th around 8:30 pm after dinner for a quick dessert. The confetti cake tasted a day old and dried out. The gingerbread christmas cookie was like a rock with no flavor. Extremely disappointed. We won't be back next time in Vegas.
The Cake Boss rocks! Try the cannoli or the lobster tail pastry.
Stopped here as my partner is a massive fan huge range of deserts and super cool place just to have a look if nothing else. The staff are friendly and helpful. I'm not a massive fan of cream filled pastries but my partner is so we got an oreo lobster tail it was to much cream for me but the pastry was nice she seemed to enjoy it. I'd definitely recommend going to check it out and something may take your fancy it is quite expensive but everything is in vegas. Dont expect to sit down here though as this is more of a counter buy place only.
We were walking around the Venetian and stumbled upon Carlo’s Bakery. I’m a big fan of the Cake Boss so I had to stop. We got a cannoli and a lobster tail. Both were great! Update: I was back in Vegas Sept 2019 (don’t judge me! LOL) and asked the lady taking my order what she recommended. She said the white chocolate mousse was great. So I tried it and it. Was. Amazing!
service was great, the chocolate cannoli was amazing
Great place
The chocolate mouse was amazing! But there is not a great variety.
I was so excited to try this considering I love cake and cupcakes and it’s the cake bosses bakery. Unfortunately at over $8 for a slice of cake or a cupcake they were so dry I just ended up tossing it, I was totally bummed. It’s just All hype
We love the Cake Boss show so it was a pleasure to visit here. The cookies we had were great. The cannolis were delicious.
Alright I understand the super long line but the employees weren't so cheerful (I went there 3 months ago for my 21st bday) and I will be honest with you I was so disappointed with the items I purchased they had no wow in them I had been watching Cake Boss for years and expected a little too much and was super disappointed
Delectable!! Cupcakes traveled well also; they were packaged well. Thanks Carlo’s Bakery!!
Tried to order a cheesecake for my bf's bday. I was told to go on their postmates app if I wanted delivery. Went through their whole menu (pretty long) and didn't see any cheesecake. Called back to ask if they offer cheesecake because I didn't see it on the app menu, & the girl said they definitely do. Went back to the postmates app and checked again and did not see the cheesecake ANYWHERE. I'm kinda bummed cause I really had my heart set on this place for my bf's cake. Hopefully the manager sees this so they can fix their menu. Or maybe the girl is just mistaken & needs to know their inventory better?
I just have to say our first visit will be a lifetime time memory for my 8 year old daughter. My husband and I had heard of the Carlos bakery in woodlands mall had opened and we knew at that moment that is would be a dream come true to take our huge fan of daughter for her 9th birthday! She could not contain her excitement! Upon making her first ever order she had the pleasure to meet Christina Rios the general manager. Mrs. Rios was sweet enough to listen to her explain her love and excitement for the bakery. As we began to leave Mrs. Rios presented my daughter with a official apron! We will be forever greatfull for the sweet gift and moment given to my daughter! Thank you Carlos Bakery and Mrs. Rios you have made an amazing memorable birthday!!!
Deliciously overpriced... but somehow I don’t regret it. They have an ample selection of pastries and other sweets. The lobster tail seems to be highly popular although I saw it as a good attempt of a mixture of a high end cannoli and a croissant, delicious but may not be for everybody. Worth a try at least once.
It's just not all that for the price ... the pastries with substandard and while it was cute I don't like to pay a price for substandard products that charge so much. While I understand that malls are going to charge a little more and with that, I expected so much more than what was there after watching your show for all these years... Maybe on a visit to New York I'll get better pastries...
Today was our first visit to this mall and my kids were excited to see Carlos Bakery. We love the show but we’ve never been to any of their locations. My 8 year old loves to cook and wants to be a baker when he grows up so he was especially excited. Tina took time to explain the options to us with clear pricing. She also took the time to talk with my son and encourage him to keep baking. She was so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. She even held our order for us while we continued shopping. The pastries tasted incredible and we were blown away by the great customer service. Thank you, we will definitely be back! You made my son’s day!
I went to Vegas recently with intentions of finally giving this bakery a shot, turned out to be pretty disappointing. I've been a Baker myself for about 11 years, I have never been as disappointed in cheesecake as I was with this one. I tried a mini cheesecake which is a cupcake sized crust-less cheesecake for $11.50...didn't mind the prices because I thought it would be amazing but it was dry, crumbly and lacked the creamier texture you look for in cheesecake. I tried a pecan Danish that was as good as any cheap grocery store one. Cakes looked as if beginners had decorated them. Save your money and bake it all yourself. Cake boss would be disappointed
I was very excited to see this bakery in the mall, but was not pleased with my purchase. The cupcakes and brownies were very hard and taste days or weeks old. I was very disappointed.
Oh man! Disappointed. We ordered the white cake with fudge icing and it had no flavor. The chocolate icing didn't taste like chocolate at all. The outside of the bakery smelled so wonderful, but I don't think that wonderful smell was the cake. We wouldn't go back here again most likely.
We found Carlos bakery today, by chance and much to our delight. We have just moved to Houston from the UK with our youngest daughter who loves Carlos bakery(as they are not in the UK it was only special treat if we came to USA on vacation). Christina Rios was so helpful and looked after us. She understood our excitement and explained everything clearly and nothing was too much for her to help, she was happy to help. It is my daughters birthday this weekend and l was struggling to decide where to buy her cake but as soon as we found Carlos it was easy. Christina helped design a cake and her help will put a huge smile on my daughter face and help make her first birthday in the USA (without her friends from home) a memorable one for all the right reasons. Can’t wait till Saturday to surprise her. Thanks very much Christina and we will definitely be back many times
Pros: Delicious, large M&M cookie with lots of M&Ms in it Great location inside the mall next to Marble Slab if you want to make your own pizooki Pleasant staff Cons: Kind of pricey for a cookie. I wasn’t ready to spend $3 for it, although they did have a deal of 2 cookies for $5.
So sad came 45 minutes excited to get a choclate cannoli walked by and seen they had 4. Thought I will come back after lunch. They will make more. Nope. Came back 45 minutes later no cannoli. They knew they were running low why did they wait. Very frustrating. This is why their reviews are going down. Said it would be 30 minutes. Why did they wait when they were running low.
The price is great because the cakes are great.. I want a slice of red velvet now.. that’s why I’m here.. I have paid way more from other places.. I am willing to pay the prices for the smaller cakes here.. they are delicious.. not sweet at all.. all flavors are on point.. my wife had the cookies and cream.. it was good as well..
Nice shop.
Loved Carlos Bakery. A must go to place. You know the brownies are good when a few year old rolls her eyes in her head in awe of how good they are.
Great spot for an appetite of any size. Nothing but pleasant experiences here. The bill was fair for the quality of food.
As it was my first time it was amazing the crustless cheesecake was Scrumdiddlyumptious cheesecake was was Airy and fluffy that was so amazing again as I visit Las Vegas again
Good but slightly expensive
I went to the bakery waited in line because I thought the baked goods would be all that I have been waiting for and more but little did I know what I was in store for , I spent about 40.00 dollars and the cupcakes were very dry. I was very disappointed and will never go there again.
I haven’t thought it’s going to be big like that plus bakery , I loved more the food than the sweet the garlic bread I recommended it really good and tasty also staff so friendly
More hype then taste. We had oreo cup cake, cannoli and lobster tail. Oreo cup cake was very very dry and not very good. 1/5. Cannoli was good but the ricotta cheese was heavy and over powering. 2/5. Lobster tail was our favourite. Crunchy sweet and just right. 5/5. If you are going to charge premium prices the product must reflect that. Service was very friendly and staff very welcoming. But the product can not be priced premium if its not excellent. I would recommend other dessert hot spots when visiting LV.
THANK YOU BUDDY! For bringing your deliciousness to our area
Overpriced pieces of seemingly pre packaged cake. The icing was runny and gross. The sprinkles were dried out. The staff was nice though. (:
I had a slice of carrot cake, the wife had a slice of rainbow cake. Paired with Lavazza coffee, perfect combo ☕
Love this place as a little cheating diet place. The service is incredible super friendly and patienet when you keep going back and forth on decisions. My kids love the cheescake mini cakes they have and i love the red velvet. I love this place as a family place to get a treat plus the walk to it is incredible for kids to see such nice things ti look around. I hands down recommend only hard thing is choosing what you want.
Mediocre at best. Didn't reach my very humble expectations.
I bought different pastries just the lobster was ok. The others medium quality for the price
Offers a variety of baked goods. I purchased a giant slice of chocolate cake, chocolate mouse cream puff, chocolate chip cookies. They were all good. I didn't find it outstanding. Just average.
Good cannoli (Vegas prices, though expected)
Even though for as busy as it it i still enjoyed myself. My only complaint is you go in there AND THERE IS NO MENU ANYWHERE. You have absolutely no idea what your paying until they ring you up. I got 2 italian cookies, 2 tiramisus and some other cookie and it was $30. I assume the cakes were $10 a piece. I had opted out of a receipt since i get texts. Either way the food was great but its strange how no menu.
The best place to have a sweet break
Shameful exploitation going on here....coasting on his celebrity status. Skip it. Don't waste your money on inferior products.
I went on November 10th. at about 5.30 PM at Carlo's Bakery, I purchased few pastry, including an Italian Napoleon which is over priced at $7.50, The entire store had a poor selection, all looking old, service not to good for the price they charged, but ignoring all this, I purchase a bunch, that cost about $40.00. After dinner, I tried my favor one the Napoleon, which was dry, old, did not test anything like Napoleon. Made me sick over night. Called the store in the morning, spoke with Albert that claims he is a manager, needs to go back to training. He said that If I did not enjoy the pastry, he refused to accept, the fact that the pastry was old, not that I did not enjoy for personal reasons. I'm from Europe and is one of the most popular pastry. I know how supposed to test. So he argued with me, the customer, not to try to make things better. Lost me and all my friends and coworkers. I'm a local. Bad move.
You can watch them make and bake the deserts. Canolis! Canolis! Canolis! They may be a tad expensive but trust me they are worth the investment. Your palette will thank you.
Despite ordering and paying in full over 2 months in advance Carlo's did not make our wedding cake for our wedding day as contracted. We did not find out until we went to pick it up on the wedding day. To make things worse the supervisor had no idea how to use the computer to make things right, it took myself (The Groom) going down there during the reception along with 3 other people to make a scene and push them to just refund us cash and make a new cake on the spot, which was obviously extremely thrown together and not what we ordered. This caused a big delay in our party while all our guests waited for me to get back to the reception. Their excuse was that some hand off did not happen internally. I understand things happen but you do not just forget to make a wedding cake. Though the cash was refunded and we did end up with some kind of cake it doesn't make up for the guests missing out on the cake I specifically ordered and myself missing 45 minutes of my own reception. Do not use Carlo's catering for any event if you want your dessert as contracted. Update - After submitting a complaint to both The Venetian and Carlos corporate a representative from corporate reached out and offered to make us a cake at a later date since we never got the cake we ordered.
Five stars all day long❤
THE BAKED GOODS ARE TOP KNOTCH, thank you for the kind service. most appreciated
To see this ship with such a low rating on Google is a travesty. Yes, the line is often very long. You know what? Good things come to those who wait. The baked goods at this bakery are head and shoulders above all I've had before, short of maybe the canolis I had in Little Italy. Every thing I've had from this place is amazingly delicious, and the staff is fun and congenial. 2.6 is a false rating, as far as I'm concerned. Anything short of 4 stars is a crime against gastronomy.
Great Service
Staff were friendly and the place itself was nice with live music it was a good atmosphere. Service was good and staff were attentive... However the food was average... and with it being a restaurant the food part is fairly important. So I'd say... been there and done that... but would not go back... such a shame as we had high hopes for it.
Nice staff and the cakes were delicious
Excellent service and a beautiful meal, would definitely recommend a visit.
Delicious, best cannoli ever
So delicious! Really hard to find but worth it!
I am a huge fan, living in Canada I was delighted to finally be able to go to the shop. The hour plus wait didn't bother me until I realized they had a really slow system. I bought 4 items including cupcakes and none of them tasted great or was worth the wait. But it was cool to see the people making cake decorations through the window.
First cannoli and it wasn’t my favorite, boo! However, I tried their salted caramel lobster tail and it was delicious! Staff was nice and service was fast, no line to wait. 2 items came out to $9 pretty expensive. They only accepted cash at that moment. Their tiny cake cost $24 but looked good, will b back to try it next.
Staff were very helpful Baked goods were delicious Quick service And a nice touch being able to look through the bakery window to watch some of the processes Minimal seating Goodies packed in a nice box so we we're able to travel with them to find seating
Love the cannoli cake we buy one maybe twice a year for special occasions. they used to be a good size enough for maybe 10 people but now they're making them much smaller about a whole size smaller and they're still the same price as before. So here 2 pictures one is before and after. Using the same happy birthday decorations. And still $38.
Waited till the excitement was over to try it. Love the show. Line moved quickly, staff friendly and everything we got was absolutely delicious. The chocolate mouse cake & chocolate covered strawberries were amazing. I would ask that maybe they start putting a few napkins in the bags. That would be a huge help!
not worth the price. taste old and not fresh way over priced for baked goods that aren't fresh.
Got 2 cup cakes and a few other items. The vanilla cupcake with buttercream frosting tasted and felt like corn bread. It was either really old or this place doesnt know how to bake. All the hype and everything I got seemed stale or not baked correctly. Sad because I was a fan and really hoped it would be at least good.
I was disappointed to learn it was just some little stand at the mall but still good none the less.
We ordered two classic cannolis and a lobster tail. One of the cannoli shells was slightly overcooked and had a burnt, oily taste. The lobster tail was... not at all what we expected. The pastry was light and flaky, but the filling was INCREDIBLY runny and dripped all over our hands. We looked up pictures from Carlos bakery and Buddy's show for reference and the consistency of the filling didn't seem to match. The taste reminded us of flavored fluoride from a dentists office. We think someone was a bit heavy handed with the flavoring (possibly extract?) so there was no sweetness to it. Although that was our first time trying a lobster tail, it didn't seem like the kind of quality that the owners should be satisfied with. That being said, we did enjoy the cannoli filling and the shell of the unburnt one.
If you haven't had one of Buddy's Lobster Tails then you haven't lived. The triple chocolate mousse cake is worth a trip as well. I wasn't impressed with much of the other things I've tried but I've been back often for Lobster Tails.
We shared a funfetti cake and it tasted like a sheet cake from your local grocery store. Frosting was cheap and too sugary. I am sure some of the other deserts are better but the cake wasn’t won of them
As an Italian, and From Connecticut, I was looking forward to trying the Cannoli and Lobster Tail from here. I was totally disappointed.. That So Called Ricotta Filling was not Only Runny but Tasted Disgusting.. The Lobster Tail was also almost burnt on the bottom! My Daughter's CupCake Buttercream Frosting was also Disgusting and The Butter was Seperating, We Threw that Out... Total Disgrace to Italians! If You're Going to Bake and Claim to Be Italian, You Should DO IT RIGHT! If I could have Put a 0 star I would have!
This Carlo's location is nice. Great Customer service and everything is always fresh. Amanda is very pleasant and helpful. I love the Hazelnut Lobster tail! I'll definitely be back here soon!
Very disappointed. Tried a slice of cake, cannoli and cookie. Cake was dry. Cannoli was bad, threw it away after 1 bite. Cookie was very bland. The only things that kept it above 1 star were the frosting on the cake was good and the kid working the register from CA was super friendly!
While at the mall I stopped by to get cookies to which they were all out. I asked if they were making anymore and they said “only if your serious about buying them”! Mind you it was like 1:00pm hours before close time and you telling me your only making things if someone put in a request! Everything should already be made and ready! Cookies were good but small and expensive. So I stopped by another day around 8:30 and the cashier is closing out the drawer and everything is already put away when the mall is still open. So my last and final time I went on a weekday got to the cookie place about 7:00pm to them being closed! Nobody was there or nothing as if they were closed for the whole day! Like what kind of business do you run with the hours you have at the mall! Will not be returning!
Being a NJ native. I at least expected this place to TRY and fake it. The staff was short with me and very rude. Definitely not worth your coin. What happens in Jersey needs to stay in Jersey .
Love their Croissants
Love love love it!!! Great customer service!
I saw there was a Carlos Bakery and I had to stop by and check it out. I bought a chocolate caked donut and it was so good. The line may look long and you might not want to wait due to the size, but it is very misleading because the line actually goes really fast, and you really don’t wait that long.
Check your order and your receipt. They put it in boxes and in a bag. I didnt get everything I paid for. The cashier asked if I wanted a bag or a mug I told him a mug several times and he still gave me a bag. Food was ok.
I come to this Bake Shop very often and not once have I been disappointed. You have to come at a certain time to not catch that long line.. and to be honest, it is not your local Mexican bakery where you buy warm bread. This is a different type of Bake Shop, where you buy fresh, cool pastries. I recommend the American Napoleons, the vanilla custered inbetween the layers is light and tasteful. Ever since I tried those, I haven't gone back to the lobster tails (which are another favorite).
Carlo's bake shop is a kiosk at the Stonebriar Mall. It's located on the first level near the elevators. The bake shop doesn't have a wide range of desserts and pastries but each one they have is amazingly delicious. You can expect to pay a reasonable price for these items. My favorite is the crumb cake.
We got several things because “what you eat if Vegas stays in Vegas,” right? Everything there is Vegas priced so be aware. We spent $30 on 5 pastries (one of which was a sugar cookie.) The chocolate dipped cannoli was so good! I wish I would’ve gone back and tried some more things because I typically choose flaky pastries and I felt like all of theirs were SO crunchy. I’m sure this is the proper way to do it, but I didn’t care for it. The lobster tail was the sole reason I went there and it was like biting through a stack of 20 Pringle’s. The filling was delicious though. I’ll definitely go back next time I am in Vegas and try some other things!
Very disappointed with this bakery. The cakes were horrible
Bought a Spice of Carrot
Today was my first time ever trying Carlo's Bakery . I was kinda of hesitant after reading the reviews but still wanted to try it myself. Well I was not disappointed. I ordered the velvet cupcake. It was yummy and moist. Me and my husband shared the cheesecake cupcake with the strawberry& it was also yummy. I will return when I visit Vegas again.
The cake and service both were good. The staff is also very helpful.
Love the lobster tails and canolis! No line this morning! Hooray
Employees look like they hate their jobs. I only saw one guy smiling. The other female employees acted like you were bothering them. I got a slice of oreo cake it was good. The yellow cake was extremely dry. After paying 9 dollars for a small slice of cake I expected it would be moist and delicious but I was wrong.
OVER PRICE & OVER RATED --- SPEND OVER $40 --- the taste of pastries I bought were all horrible especially cream cheese danish tasted just like the ones already packaged wrapped from your local grocery store. What a disappointment. NO plans in returning soon. **** My visit was on 3/12/17
This location is nothing like in NYC, food cold. Staff nasty young lady had a pen in her mouth and took it out to and started writing with , also handled the food with same hand. What on the menu is sad. Never going back to this location.
Really cool to see a Carlo’s bakery as a fan of the tv show. I know it’s not the one from the tv show or one of the bigger shops but the stuff in here are amazing and a must for any dessert lover. You have to try the cannoli’s they are amazing and our favourite thing from the shop.
Disappointed
My cupcake was hard as a rock!
Excellent Pastry and Cake ! The Cannoli was awesome the Fudge brownies , Chocolate mousse cake , Birthday day cake was all Awesome !!!
There's no prices posted on the display as it might drive people away from how overpriced these pastries are.
Hype bigger than delivery I am more than familiar with Carlos the “Cake Boss” as as past fan of his show and his amazing talented cakes. I was so excited to be in Vegas and the ability to try his pastries as I love sweets. I can imagine the line can be extensive but even with several in front of us it wasn’t too timely as they have a employee who can take you order on a tablet and then someone else will call your name to pay and pick up your order. There are plenty on options...about 5 cases worth. However as a suggested BIG improvement could be to have these delicatessens labeled and include filling types when applicable. A few had labels like chocolate cake or rainbow cake, more of the gimme items. It’s the items you don’t see in this neck of the woods (side of the country) who don’t have old world flavor and unfamiliar with a true bakery. Not to mention it could help with ordering time as you try to figure out or have to ask “what it that”. The chocolate mousse was very creamy and delicious. The walnut chocolate something or other (insert true name here) was good but felt something more to be desired. Glad I waited on the mousse. The packing was awesome and left you feeling like a valued customer. Packaged in a box to protect those yummies. No pastry bags here. There is a observation window from the hallway to watch those pastry chefs at work. Kids enjoyed watching them. You can also grab promotional items. NOTE they post a notice on the counter that they are NOT gluten or nut free environment.
Superb Cannolis! Had and afternoon blond espresso and cannoli. Very impressed with filling creamy and firm but not too stiff nor overly sweet. Best I’ve had in a long while.
Pastries and coffee were good, but not worth the high price. $20 for two coffees and 2 pastries. Ordering was a bit clunky with a line for ordering with handheld iPads but people Were queuing up behind us because the staff was a little distracted.
Driest stale cupcake I have ever eaten. Inedible.
It's very good I try the red velvet cupcakes and I like the icing the cupcake is a bit cold but it is still good and we try the canoli and that was my mom and dad favorite the line wasn't that long on a Sunday overall it was a good experience
The cannolis were cold and dull in flavor and the flavor also lacked considerably for the lobster tail. I was excited to go but this place really is overrated.
this plase is the best. it is the best because there's good food or should i say amazing food that plase is the best i wt there in me Brthday and sins it was my brthday the made my big cack for me and my mom, dad, brothers, sisters, ants, uncols, mosly my howl fam.and this is why i like or should i say love this plase
It was insanely difficult to find luckily the people around the Venetian were kind enough to point us in the right direction. The employees were nice and quick but the food however wasn't all I thought it would be was a bit dry it felt like stuff in the display case was there for a couple weeks it was a little dissapointing however when I return and if things are better ill change my review.
We preordered 12 cupcakes for our Vegas wedding. We requested some customizations on 6 and plain colored on the other 6. I never thought I’d pay $75 for 12 cupcakes but I did. The customized cupcakes lacked in design. They took fondant and cut a ring and sword that looked like any one could do. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because the flavors were amazing.
You must try this pasteleria, its delicious
Had the chocolate cannoli and was a bit disappointed in it. My fiance had a chocolate peanut butter cupcake and really enjoyed it. Friendly service (except for the cashier who was quite miserable!). Would recommend any fans to check it out.
I love this place I highly recommend I also went the one in Orlando and also in Las Vegas and I never ever got disappointed this place is amazing also the customer service and the pastry’s are AMAZING YOU MUST TRY IT !
Great experience. I tried cannolis
Used to love this place. Went there today and was disappointed. The lobster tails are way smaller than they used to be and their selections is smaller than before as well.
(Translated by Google) Too good the sweets and cookies (Original) Demasiado Buenos los dulces y galletas
It was exciting to see the bakers and the restaurant chefs in action
All I have to say is wow. All you can eat and drink. What’s not to love with this?
Awesome series, wish I had taken a picture before I ate it ! Lol make sure you try the chocolate canoli's ! They also have a restaurant part attached for pasta and other stuff . Didn't eat there but it smelled amazing , will for sure try it next time I'm back in Las Vegas!
I paid 20 dollars and threw it in the trash
Not what I was expecting every was very cold taken out of the cooler. Not fresh at all. Cup cakes was the only thing that tasted ok. Not worth the wait! Very unhappy was very excited to come since they open but not coming again.
Cannolis are delicious
The best part about this place is how it’s presented. It’s overpriced, and the quality is comparable to the baked goods you’d find at a grocery store. Service is mediocre at best, and the only “wow factor” is when you hear how much it costs to buy a single cookie. The only recommendation I can give is that you never go.
Good cannoli & horrible customer service.
Meh. It didn't live up to the hype. It was pretty, though.
Paid $13 for 2 chocolate chip cookies n 2 chocolate covered strawberries. Cookies tasted like the ones from Kroger’s which u can buy a whole box for $5. Not worth it, over priced n hyped. Heb has better cakes!!
I just came back from the bakery at Cumberland Mall and the Cake slices are $6.95 per slice and the presentation of the cake was horrible. I know that if Buddy or his family saw the cakes that were being presented they would tell them to take it off and not sell it to the customers. I bought the slices because I wanted to try his cakes. I won’t be back to by another slice if it’s not good.
I didn’t try any of the cakes but decided to keep it simple. The chocolate chip cookies are great. Guy just put a new tray of them down and I asked if they were fresh. He said yes and I bought two. They weren’t fresh nor warm so minus 2 stars for lying. But the good thing was, they were very soft still. Even the edges were soft. The cookie tastes great through. Would buy again.
I was excited to finally eat at this well known bakery for my 50th birthday because my niece a couple of years ago went and she said it was amazing. I had the cheesecake , a chocolate cupcake and my friend had a white cake with sprinkles. The cupcake was horrible, the cheesecake was ok but I’ve had better at a grocery store and the white cake with sprinkles it was disappointing. The staff was friendly and helpful they deserve 5 stars but the cakes were very disappointing. Maybe they need to follow the original recipes or get more help for the baker or they need reevaluate.
Good products. Not worth the hype. I can google a recipe and make a better
The vanilla fudge cake was to die for. The frosting was true fudge than typical frosting. The restaurant was equally outstanding (right next door) the wait staff was over the top. Had the best time - Can't recommend both enough would definitely go back.
Horrible business. They had a promotion on a sign they would not honor. They had the wrong prices on some items on the menu board. They said sorry but did not offer to honor it. I then found later I didn’t even get the correct item I ordered. I emailed the company and got no response. The treats that I bought weren’t even that good. Stay away. $30 totally wasted. They clearly don’t care about their customers.
Such a cool place it's a must go to
Fell into the trap. We ordered several very varied pastries (sfogliatelle, choux, a slice of vainilla cake with fudge, etc. Not all are in the picture) since : 1. We thought this guy would be a "real Italian Baker". I've never seen sfogliatelle here in the US, so I assumed it was a good sign. 2. Well, who doesn't know Cake Boss. I had to admit I was excited. It was quite disappointing. Don't get me wrong, the technique of the sfogliatelle was good and it was decent. However the rest was quite bad. The cake was comparable to supermarket quality. It was a bit tough and really cold. The frosting was meh. The rest of the pastries seemed like they were old. The prices were TOO high for the quality. We spent a lot of money and it wasn't worth it. I think this bakery is mostly hype and not delivering on the quality. Wouldn't go there again or recommend this place .
I got to visit when I was on vacation September 2018. I was so excited to finally try the famous Cake Boss' Italian pasteries. It exceeded my expectations. I got the classic lobster tail and cannoli. My stepmom bought the rainbow cake and she still says that was the best cake she'd ever had. I highly recommend this place.
It taste store brought to me. I had higher expectations.
I haven’t been to Carlos bakery, since I live in Utah. Waited for 10 years to try the place. It was a disappointment. I got Some lobster tails and a strawberry shortcake. Lobster tails tasted a lot of vanilla. But the strawberry shortcake was okay.
Truly disappointing the cheesecake was not good. Cannoli not good, my wife is Italian and she said what a disappointment. Carlo should be doing a better job checking in on his places. He should not just putting his name to a business. We were both expecting a lot better especially in Las Vegas. Would not recommend.
I bought the cookies & creme doughnut and the red velvet cupcake. The issue with both is the tasteless buttercream. The doughnut itself is fine but its sliced in the middle and they had a layer of cream in between each half. The cream tastes like bland whipped butter. Think Ryan's honey butter, yes the one you put on the rolls, but with half the taste of honey. It literally ruined the doughnut. The same type of cream is used for the icing on the red velvet cupcake which is really unfortunate. The cupcake itself was very dry. Just not good.
Buddy's restaurant was so delicious I just loved it there me and my 3 sister's went to go eat dinner and they were great service fast and the food was so delicious I mean really delicious the best I ever tasted and I'm really picky so I give them 5 stars and 2 thumbs up
Worst cheesecake I've ever eaten for $11. Cheesecake is supposed to be rich and creamy and this was crumbly and blah !!
Today I bought a red velvet cupcake and cheese cake it was one of the worst tasting desserts I have ever had. The cheesecake didn't have a taste to it and the red velvet cupcake had a burnt taste.
I had told my husband how much I really wanted to here to get a cannoli from Carlo's bakery. Well, I did but was very disappointed. It definitely did not wow me or my family. Also, there was not a variety of pastries for us to choose from. Looked like they were close to closing when it was in the afternoon. Sorry to say I will never come back.
This place is way too hyped. Super disappointed with the cake we got. The lobster tail was okay, too flakey, but the cake was terrible. We didn’t finish one slice of rainbow cake between 4 people.
Pretty inconsistent with the quality. Had the vanilla hazelnut cupcake - tasted kind of stale . Frosting was rock solid. the cupcake was rock solid with a corn bread texture. chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting was much butter in comparison but wasn’t anything spectacular.
A bit of a confusing ordering system... but all in all, amazing delicious deserts! The lobster tail was amazing, super crunchy, and not at all too sweet. My other half got a chocolate eclair and even thoght I'm not super fond of chocolate is was also amazing. Fillings were chilled to give them an almost refreshing taste!
Simply amazing
Good quality...small shop...to many people...long line all the time.
The cannolis and funfetti cake were delicious.
I don't like this place My daughter she trow up all the food 100% not recommended PORFAVOR NO SIRVE
Bought the butter cream cupcake and chocolate mousse cheese cake. They tasted like dry freezer burned dessert someone thaws from Grandma's freezer once every five year. If this Carlo's guy is a boss someone needs to fire his ass for making such poor desserts.
Used to have great desserts but quality has gone WAY down
So disappointed. We saw this place on one of the travel shows and thought it would be a great treat. And friends told us we just had to stand in line for some lobster tails. No line; no rave reviews. The pastry was dry and crusty. Don't even attempt with braces.
Cake tastes of just butter, no flavour (terrible for price), cheesecake was nothing special and did not have he best texture and quality. Check out was hell as we where Called over and she tells me we only can accept card without WARNING! .
Love the bakery, especially the apple turnovers..worth the splurge...reminds me of Hoboken.
Spent over $70 and the pastries tasted like mass produced walmart bakery products.
I saw there was a Carlos Bakery and I had to stop by and check it out. I bought a chocolate caked donut and it was so good. The line may look long and you might not want to wait due to the size, but it is very misleading because the line actually goes really fast, and you really don’t wait that long.
Love!! But they were out of lobster tails and I was so sad. I got a cupcake that was good but still not a lobster tail.
The cakes was worth horrible i pain for 2 slices cake $20. It Taste old and dry I was Thinking It will be something special and unique
Carlo's is a rude and dumb old man. His bakery is allot like a Freeze baker. Understand one huge issue. Both companies use WAY TOO MUCH AND THICK fondant. It always make cakes too sweet with a flavor that disappeared. Thumbs down!
The dark chocolate mousse cake is amazing
Very disappointed....bought cookies in the bakery last night. The flavor was not that great and they tasted very stale. I could have gotten a pack of 10 at the local grocery store for the price of one for a tastier bite!!
Soooo expensive! $10.95 for small 3 bite cheesecake.
When I passed by this bake shop when I was in the mall, I saw the long line of people so I was curious to try them out but it wasn't what I expected. I can't speak for everyone but the cupcakes here was just okay but not worth the price you pay. The cannoli was a little bitter tasting compared to other places that I've tried. It would be great to have a Crave Cupcakes or Sprinkles Cupcakes here in the Woodlands but unfortunately, I either have to drive to the Uptown or Galleria Area of Houston in order to get great eating cupcakes.
Very disappointed. First couple of years it was good, now the lobster tails are half the size and the cream is runny. The fried dough tasted of old oil.as a fan I cant believe there is no longer quality control . Very disappointed
I loved this show when I was younger and was excited to go and was completely and utterly disappointed. I got a hazelnut lobster tail and it HURT to bite into. I’m only giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the lady helping us was so nice and answered all of my questions. Waste of money. Overpriced. Crushed my fat 10 year old dreams.
The service was excellent. We had a large party and we accommodated quickly. The food was exceptional. I was intrigued by the croutons in the ceaser salad. The margarita pizza was a delicious but I like my crust crunchier! The best part was the cannoli. It was huge and the chocolate sauce. I was ready for a nap
The pastries here were excellent. We went about 8pm and they were almost sold out of everything. It was an ok visit, but I was expecting a top notch experience.
Awesome classic pastries usually a small wait but it's totally worth it! The only thing I would suggest is adding pastry tags to items so it's easier to order
I tried the rainbow cake it was ok. The service was fast and the staff was nice
Red velvet cake is NASTY you can taste the vinegar plus it was dry.
Love the TV show. We bought a souvenir cup and a red velvet cupcake. The cupcake was very dry and crumbly. It was bought around 4pm so its possible it dried out throughout the day. Unfortunately it's my only experience there. At least the frosting was great. Lol
The selection of bakery items at this location is very disappointing!!! Cookies or cupcakes-- where are all the other baked goodies?? Only one person in the baking area. I traveled over 1100 miles to eat the "wonderful" goodies--- Buddy, your stores are slacking off.
This is my review of Carlo’s Bakery in the Grand Canal Shops in Las Vegas. As their webpage states: Carlo’s is a family owned bakery featured on the TLC hit show Cake Boss. My wife wanted to try some pastries for our breakfast. The cannoli was nice but truthfully no better or worse than those at our Italian bakery in St Albert called Mercato. However the chocolate croissant was so light and flaky that it was well worth the visit! The sfogliatell was very nice and the cookie and cream lobster tail was excellent. The latte could have used a nice design on it since this is not a Starbucks. However it was an excellent latte. Will I come back, perhaps tomorrow!
I had a generous slice of the carrot cake which was very nice but at $10 also the most expensive slice of cake I’ve ever bought. There are no prices on the display which I think is bad as I probably wouldn’t have bought it if I knew it was going to cost that much.
Not even close to as good as you would think and especially for the price.. when your kids aren't even impressed it's pretty bad
Bad service!!!
For a bakery that is featured on Food Network you sure don't know how to make a cupcake. Cake part dry and hard as a rock. Icing had a hint of old waste decay and fermentation. Why are your cupcakes so expensive? Why when you mini cakes taste so bad the birds would not eat my $9 slice of yuck would you charge so much? As a man of stature I have eaten many cakes in my life and many many pastries, your bakery does not need to be selling anything but office supplies because your pastries taste like paper.
We had a peanut butter cupcake and it was delicious! But the service was awful! The girl behind the cash register was very rude and everything but customer friendly. Also they advertise Lavazza coffee here but they use the coffee cups in a machine. So don't bother having a coffee with your cupcake here. Disappointing!
Was less than impressed today. Snd the reason I think was the staff. The manager was rude to other people and then talked about people to the other staff. Im sorry but if I am paying for cookies by the pound and I want them wrapped in 2 cartons (as I asked when ordering) then it should be that way. I should not have to stop someone wrapping them to get it correted. And there were no fondant cookies....really the only reason I walk all the way down there.
Add this to one of your stops while in Vegas; yes, the lines are long and it's a bit pricey, but hey, indulge and enjoy life once in a while!
Pretty good cup cakes and fast service
The cake and cookies were surprisingly average and not worth the price. You can get the equivalent product from a grocery store bakery. There are no tables to sit and eat your treats so that is a huge inconvenience because you can't just bring your chocolate out in the 100 degree Vegas heat. We had to amble around the casino to finally find a place to sit at the sports book.
Very pleasant kind staff. I bought the Carmel butter creme dulce de leche cake it was amazing. Will return.
Was looking forward for a traditional Italian bakery with good traditional espresso. Ordered a cappuccino and got a pod made cappuccino. No one using espresso coffee pods in a authentic cappuccino. Coffee tasted Bitter... With the amount of money they charge for coffee you Need to hire a barista with fresh ground espresso. Deserts were average at best, three cappuccinos and couple deserts $45 US.
Desserts are great, but they are expensive. Got a few eclairs that were delicious, and then got a double fudge moouse cake/cup that was fantastic and rich! But at $5.95 per eclair and $8.95 for a piece of cake, I feel a little ripped off. I guess everything is expensive in Vegas though.
