We special ordered our son's groom's cake from Darcy's which was delicious and beautiful. Darcy made a shield shaped cake with our family crest. It was the talk of his wedding! We also ordered cookies in the shape of a plaque with their initials. These also turned out perfect and were so delicious! Now we are ordering our daughter's wedding cake. We had our cake tasting yesterday. What a nice presiontation. So many flavors to choose from, all of her cakes are moist and delicious! She offers about ten different fillings with six different flavors of cake. We are so excited! Thank you Darcy for your help with making our wedding experiences so special!

First off I don’t understand why many people complain about there cakes. It was my girlfriends birthday and I wanted to get her a custom made cake so I googled this place and I’m in powder springs Georgia and I drove all the way here not knowing how it would be. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the staff , and she was beyond nice! I had no clue what I wanted on my cake and she got both iPads out and showed me all the designs they have done she even googled some for me to help me narrow my choice! And I picked one, she went to the back and told Darcy what she reccomends on how the cake design should be and I liked that because it made me feel comfortable that the owner cares about her customers and her cakes. It was very professional and they helped me out with everything I asked. I was scared the cake was going to be bad because it was my first time but it turned out AMAZING!! My girlfriend loved it!! Everyone did! So I want to say thank you Darcy and her staff who helped created this cake! I will definitely be coming Back! Tasty cakes beauty designs and amazing staff!

I had a phenomenal experience ordering a wedding cake from Cakes by Darcy. Unlike the many of other bakeries I visited, they did not try to push me into buying something that I didn't want. They helped me pick out the perfect cake design and were willing to work with my small budget. Their customer service and attention to detail were phenomenal. I'm pretty picky about cake, but their cake tasted amazing and they had a wide variety of cake and filling options. My husband and I were so touched with our experience that we are planning to order one of their specialty cakes every anniversary!

I have ordered a number of cakes from Darcy's from a wedding cake to baby shower cakes to a moving away party cake. Oh, and petit fours as well. These orders have occurred over the period of about 4 years with the latest being a few weeks ago. Not one of these orders has been a disappointment. To the contrary, each cake has been a focal point of the party with rave reviews about the taste and appearance. Darcy's cakes are wonderfully moist and the butter cream icing is the best in town. Creativity is a strong suit. I mentioned the moving away cake. This cake was shaped and looked just like a cardboard moving box complete with shiny "tape" seams that glistened like packing tape and the words "goodbye" in five languages. I am not an event planner. Just a woman that creates lasting memories for my friends through an occasional meaningful party and fabulous food. As such, I do not get preferential treatment or have any reason for my review to be biased. I demand perfection and do not accept excuses. It's too easy to take my business elsewhere. This little locally owned business has never given me a cause for complaint. Support this small business, enjoy fantastic cakes and don't worry about the price. Their prices are quite comparable. Further, you only need one "homemade" flop made by a well meaning friend to realize much is riding on food and dessert! I give Darcy two thumbs up and a five-star rating. You will, too.

I've only just recently discovered Cakes by Darcy and I must say I was pleasantly surprised and impressed with the product that makes its way out of this quaint Roswell gem of a bakery. The staff is experienced, knowledgeable, and pleasant to talk to. They often will go out of their way to make sure you get the perfect cake that is not only fitting for the occasion but personalized for the individual or event. These cakes are freshly baked, carefully set up, and beautifully decorated by Darcy herself. I've seen the time and care that goes into these creations and it makes it worth every penny. Sure, you'll spend a lot less money at your local grocery store, but that is to be expected when the cakes are made by machines, frozen and shipped in bulky boxes to later be prepared by an associate. Not the case at CBD. The quality, know-how, and talent that surrounds the product is no comparison. Lastly, the customer service is so outstanding that if you have any problems the help is there. Darcy and her staff are always more than willing to make sure you have the best experience. All it takes is bringing it to their attention :)

Darcy did an absolutely fabulous job on my wedding cake! It was not only delicious, but it was beautiful as well! Darcy was so easy to work with. She is organized, helpful, fairly priced, and a truly skilled baker and artist. I highly recommend her! I look forward to visiting her shop for her in-store treats as well!

I was traveling through the Roswell area, so I got some of the cupcakes to go. My friend said "the chocolate cupcakes should be outlawed because they taste so good", the lemon ones are tangy and delicious, the vanilla is yummy and I even brought home a strawberry cupcake on the plane for my son. I highly recommend going there for a special cake, cupcake or treat. The owner and staff were very nice too!

REALLY awesome bakery that does incredible cakes! I had a Maker's Mark Bottle cake made for a 40th birthday party and it was a total hit...and it was DELICIOUS! Highly recommend if you have a special and unique cake request.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! My family and I have been ordering cakes here since I was in high school. And I just placed my order for my wedding cake here! The team at Cakes by Darcy goes above and beyond to make sure you get the cake you want (and for the price you can afford). They have always made great recommendations for alternatives to stay in your budget. My recommendation: Notice how smooth the icing is on all of the cakes before you ask to have it covered in fondant. Not necessary!! Their cakes are so pretty and the outside is perfectly smooth every single time! Try the Strawberry cake with strawberry preserves, too!! Delicious :)

Really great cakes and cupcakes. I've used them several times for custom birthday cakes and they always come through with beautiful cakes that taste amazing. Way better than the cheaper grocery store-type cakes. Cakes by Darcy isn't inexpensive, but you definitely get the quality you're paying for.

went there during the holidays - they were closed for 2 weeks for there own holiday vacation apparently. Went yesterday (monday) they are closed mondays (always!!!!) then went today (tuesday) walked up at 9:58..they open at 10...waited outside in the cold until 10:05 when i finally knocked on the door. An older women let me in. I asked for pictures and a price quote on a very specific design i had found on pinterest. The women literally had to go back in the back section to ask "Darcy" for answers to my simple questions SEVEN times! She couldn't find any pictures of the kind of cake i wanted to see - and finally brought Darcys cell phone out for me to look at. Um how about a portfolio of some kind ladies? I finally got the answers i needed (after some push back from me b/c they refused to do only green and blue sprinkles - said they couldn't - until I SUGGESTED they use fondant) and when i looked down to see what the price quote was for a 6inch round cake - the price started at $108.00! WHAT? for a 6inch round cake made to look like a stack of pancakes with sprinkles? What a joke! If Darcy wants to keep business in this area she needs to train her staff and not expect that people will pay that much for a tiny cake. Im not a cheap-o by any means - but i went to publix and ordered a 7 inch round AND a sheet cake that will be JUST as cute and JUST as yummy for a total of $40bucks!

Darcy did a fantastic job with our wedding cake! The entire process with her was amazing - my husband still talks about how good the tasting was. Darcy delivered our cake to the venue personally and it was gorgeous. Our guests loved the cake so much there were only a couple slices left at the end of the night! Highly recommend!

Love, love, LOVE Darcy’s Cakes! Darcy’s did a fabulous job for my daughters wedding cake. We had (5) different tastings from bakeries throughout Atlanta and from the start Darcy’s was far better in all categories-style varieties, taste and prices for our 4 tiered cake as well as the grooms cake. Darcy’s herself goes above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied-highly recommend!!

Great cake, we did a different flavor for each tier so there was a variety for guests, though all hidden under white buttercream. Darcy does cake tastings in house and a take-home version which we did. We did all the planning by phone and she really worked with us to get the amount of cake we needed for our budget. Delicious and beautiful. She also has connections at all local venues and they like using her because they know she is good and reliable. That helps in coordinating delivery, etc.

TERRIBLE, I had ordered the cake for my son s graduation day party 5 days prior to the incident, PAID up FRONT, only to arrive the day of with NO CAKE MADE!! They lost my order and i had literally 20 people coming over for his graduation celebration in 2 hrs!! I was MORTIFIED at how the management of this establishment handled this situation!! They literally suggested for me to return in a few hrs and they would have a CAKE made!! R u kidding me?? I will NEVER return here, it s OVERPRICED and to loose a CAKE order after it has been paid for up front at a large sum of MONEY!! Forget it, I ll take my chances at WALMART!

If I had one word to describe my interaction with Cakes by Darcy, it would be uppity. I know their products taste good. My best friend has ordered from them a few times before for various events. After reading some of the other reviews, I must say I am pretty shocked at the attitude presented in their policies. Had I read that first I would not have been so surprised that they refused to do the border design on the cake I wanted for my daughter's 1st birthday party. They didn't want to do it because there was "too much going on" and it looked like a grocery store cake. Okay...I just got the feeling that they would rather be exclusively upscale and stylish. So maybe custom cakes isn't the right word, since they will not customize entirely.

I ordered a cake for my daughter's 7th birthday party and I was very pleased with my whole experience here! Customer service was beyond my expectations they listened to what I wanted and delivered in a very professional friendly manner! My daughters party guests were amazed at the outcome and overall look of her cake. The only downside in my PERSONAL opinion was the cake was a little dry.

The best bakery in all of Atlanta! Absolutely love this place. My family has been coming here for about 12 year since this bakery opened and we get cakes for just about every single occasion. Darcy was so kind and is such a great artist. I'm new to town and needed a cake for my stepson who was in state for his birthday. She took his Harry Potter cake to the next level. The reaction on his face was priceless. No doubt he will forever remember his 10th birthday. The cake even tasted delicious! We will be ordering more for sure!!!

Have had the opportunity to order many cakes for different occasions from this bakery. After going through reviews, I felt the need to leave a 5 star one because I have never had any issue with my cakes. A few weeks ago had to order a very detailed cake and I was like if it even comes out 70% similar to the pic, my customer will be happy. Well, it came out even better as you can see the pic. A locally owned bakery that makes some delicious and mind blowing cakes. Their cakes are as pleasing to the eyes as they are to the palate. The custom cakes are so well done and realistic that you will not believe it is actually a cake. The owner is also a great corporate citizen that gives back to our community. Darcy did an amazing job on my wedding cake. So much, that we had no cake left at the end of the night. Darcy was lovely to meet with and was so patient while we tasted all the flavor combinations. She checked in with me a week before the wedding to make sure everything was still chosen as it was during the meeting. And the execution of the cake was perfect! The amaretto buttercream icing is the way to go! I highly recommend Cakes by Darcy!

At some of the worst times in my life... when life was being extremely bitter... if there is one thing that I could depend on it was the sweetness of Darcy's cakes which somehow ALWAYS matches her disposition.

Publix cake tastes much better. Our cake was a bit dry. And when I ordered a custom smash cake for my daughter's first birthday, they did not make it the color I requested (I even took in a color sample to match). I also took in a picture of a design and they did not do that either. Wiill not use them again

I'm shocked to read some of the negative reviews. My husband proposed with a beautiful two tiered cake that tasted divine and looked it too! We had a wonderful cake tasting at Cakes by Darcy and they made our wedding cake and our groom's cake. The groom's cake was a 1970 Austin Mini that my husband owns. I also used them for my bridesmaid luncheon. I've had nothing but wonderful service from everyone who works there, including Darcy. My husband and I just celebrated our one year anniversary and ate the top layer of our cake. It was still delicious!!! I highly recommend Cakes by Darcy and will be calling them in half an hour to put in an order for my housewarming party.
