My son's Transformers cake was amazing!! The cake you made was way more detailed and beautiful than the picture I sent to you. It is usually the other way round. From the bottom of my heart, I appreciate you, Melissa. The cake was amazing! The level of details. My God. Thank you so much. The fact that the cakes were as tall as they were in the pictures blew my mind. The fact that you took my notes about having only thin layers of cream in between the cakes also made me so happy. I saw the little lights you had in there. I saw the metallic screw drivers. I saw it all. Now let’s talk about the cake texture!! Let me tell you Melissa, my guests almost finished the cake, they kept going for more, they even took some to their house. It was so moist and delicious. Thank you again

Let me start out by saying that my 6 year old absolutely loved his cake, and it was decorated beautifully. Whoever does the fondant work is incredibly talented. However, upon cutting the cake, our guests and my 6 year old and 3 year old sons all had whole and splintered toothpicks all throughout the bottom of the cake. With further inspection, there were more in the pieces that were not served. We were not confident that there were not more, and unfortunately had to take the cake away. This is dangerous. Had one of my sons or guests actually ingested one of these we could have been in the ER instead of celebrating my sons day. When trying to solve the matter privately via email, Melissa called me right away. Off the bat, she was offensive, argumentative, and tried blaming us for "cutting the toothpicks" that were apparently only used to keep the letters on. Why were there toothpicks throughout the bottom layers if they were only used to keep the letters on? There were no indication or toothpicks in the area the letters were at. We have pictures and adult witnesses of us pulling toothpicks from multiple areas of the cake. When I stated we should have been warned about there being toothpicks in the cake at all, she then blamed the front counter staff of "being young kids and not knowing what they're doing." She stated she was the one that assembled the cake and knew where the toothpicks were. As a responsible owner, one would think she would be the one to bring the cake out or utilize her staff to let people know. She blamed everyone but herself for this potentially dangerous issue, and not once did she offer an apology or offer something to make up for this major oversight. I paid almost $100 for a cake that was inedible, had uneven layers, and was littered in the bottom layers with toothpicks without so much as a sorry from Melissa. Had the owner of this place acted in a professional manner, I wouldn't even be writing this. However, I believe people should be warned before ordering from this establishment. I would not recommend anyone use this place for their orders.

We tried cake here for the first time at a birthday party & literally tracked down the shop, we got a birthday cake & cupcakes here for my husbands birthday and they were both AMAZING. The cake was fantastic & there is NO comparison to how phenomenal the buttercream is. The customer service my husband received was stellar too! We got tips on how to serve cut Etc and they took their time. Best bakery in Delaware hands down!

I will never ever purchase anything from this business again. I went here today for the first time after hearing how good the food was. Pleasant employees behind the counter, cute place. Bought a variety of items for a thing today. Every muffin type available, macaroons, cookies, tarts, cupcakes etc. - One person tried a blueberry muffin - rock hard on the outside, barely decent at the bottom / inside. The macaroons - incredibly hard, crumbled and nothing like I've had before. Another tried the cannoli - she spit it out. The raspberry linzer cookies.. Everyone liked. I called the store and the girl said she would return my money or exchange it. My daughter goes down there and some manager " I stand by my food" "my employees would never tell you that". The girl who answered the phone said the manager was never even there. I asked for the manager to start with yet he was standing next to her when I called so, he's a liar on top of everything as well. I'm sure we'd waste 30 minutes driving one way for absolutely no reason right? I'm astounded this is how you run your business. Fix your food and your managers attitude.

I was lucky enough to get to try a cake from this bakery...I was floored. I am such a picky cake person. It literally was perfect. It was beautifully decorated but more important to me, it tasted like a little slice of heaven. The filling--raspberry--was so fresh and good and the icing was beyond tasty--tons of butter- the way it should be. I want to order my own cake soon. I wish my daughter would have chosen this bakery instead of the cake she had for her wedding.

I went into this bakery shop today to place an order for an event that's coming up on Sunday, the young lady was very nice and business skills, the owner came out very rude with a very nasty attitude and very unprofessional business skills. I was very hurt and upset the way she came out and talked to me, liked I came in bidding. She will never see me in her store again and when I go to someone house or event i will be asking where did they get there cakes or cupcakes from, I will go to back Phila to buy and spent my money

First of all I was so disappointed going to this cafe. The guy was behind a young cashier watching if she was doing everything right which I understand is training but then he says he’s going to make the coffee and he was very rude I asked for a iced coffee he started making a latte in a different flavor then what I told him and when I told him that is not what they did last time he became very angry and snappy. I told him never mind because I was not going to argue with ignorant and uneducated people like that , that do not know how to run a business and treat a customer who is willing to pay your expensive prices. I was very disappointed and it’s a shame to be treated this way. I would of gladly paid double the price if the drink was made properly and I was talked to with respect and kindness.

Their icing is to sweet for me. It's not a traditional butter cream. I bought a cake without even thinking of the flavor from their case. It was a trial cake before I ordered my son's 1st birthday so wasn't to worry about the cake. I got home and it was lemon. Was good but not something I would have bought. Wish staff would have label the cake is the display case or tell you when you purchase.

The cupcakes and cake pops here are amazing, and they offer gluten free options if you need that. Only downsides are that they are a little expensive and a little hard to find if you don't know where they are.

I got the lemon scones for my brother and mother and they said that it was dry and didn't taste good. My daughter and I shared the chocolate mousse and it was very delicious!! The salted caramel lava cake was a big disappointment!! I spent $26.00 there and the only thing that was good was the chocolate mousse!!

Awesome bakery. Smells amazing just walking up to it! They have a great seating area inside. A variety of pastries, cupcakes both regular and gluten free, and even safe to eat cookie dough! I bought some cake pops and baklava. The Baklava is out of this world. Sweet, but not too sweet.

I was told by their staff when I asked about certain pastries that they had no nuts in them. After buying/taking the cakes and cookies home I discovered they indeed did have LOTS of nuts in them. There are tree nuts in the products sold there. We had a terrible experience with this place regarding peanut/treenut allergen questions.

Well SWEET Melissa is right. I bought a birthday cake for my fiancé and I had never tried any of their products before. It was decorated beautifully but it’s the taste that earned the 2 stars. It’s soooooo sweet it was hard to stomach. The cake had a consistency of cornbread. Overall, I was honestly embarrassed to serve it to my guests. It was not good. AT ALL I should've saved the money and just gone to Bings in Newark

Umm, opps I was supposed to take a pic of my TWO chocolate chip cookies but....so yea, its a great spot. She made both children cakes and have not disappointed Not even Once. My all time favorite flavor is chocolate, but She does such an excellent vanilla cake, i was pleasantly surprised and now thats all i want from her. So far Every filling i have tried with the cakes are delicious. Melissa herself is pleasant person and since meeting her to place orders or any conversation, she have lived up to her name Sweet Melissa.

I wish I could give it a 0 star for Customer Service. While calling yesterday Melissa was very rude. We had emailed a few times back and forth, but I had a specific question so I called. I told her that I had a a few questions, one being the pricing and how everything works as far as a deposit. I could tell she was irritated and asked if it was a good time to talk. She said "It really never is ...And I really can't stop what I'm doing during the day to answer every call". "Blank Stares at the phone". At that point I had made up my mind that I would never spend a dollar with her company. And it's sad because I was going to place a large order with several items. Oh well...

I ordered cupcakes from here. I was a little surprised at the price but I paid it happily thinking my daughter will love them. I was quite unhappy with customer service. It was my first time there. I was told it takes 5 days to make a cake so I definitely couldn't make a cake order if I didn't give well advance notice. I asked for some examples of flavor varieties and she tells me they are all online. If I am in her store trying to place an order I don't expect to have to go online and do that. You should be able to have a conversation with me and help me. The customer service alone was enough for me to never go back. The cupcakes looked beautiful. The flavor wasn't anything to rave about. Please work on your people skills.
