I’ve recently tried this Bakery on the recommendation of a co-worker! They are amazing! For the price of 14$ approximately, you can get a soup, a sandwich and a desert! And they taste amazing! Unique! The deserts taste very similar to European deserts! Congratulations to the owners! Totally recommend them and I will definitely be back! And the African-American lady who helped me was very friendly and polite! She definitely helps the business and brings people back!

I had a gift card and had never been to this bakery so I drove across town and arrived at 4:45, 15 minutes before closing just to get some Boars Head ham. I wasn’t greeted at all and was informed rather rudely that they were not slicing any more for the day. I guess they were more concerned with closing at 5:00 than serving a customer. First impressions count a lot with me. I will not go back.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Staff are friendly and helpful, and everything is delicious. We never walk out without picking up extra of something, or even something completely not on our list. Breads are fabulous and we've never been disappointed with the desserts. Chocolate raspberry cake is an absolute favorite!

Very friendly and very tasty baked goods. I even tried one of their Rueben's today, along with the Bavarian potato salad. Their cheesecake, while not up to New York standards, is still reasonably delicious. Try to go earlier in the day, before their choices get picked clean. The picture is their chocolate raspberry cake.

Coming from NY and disappointed in Delaware's lack of "real" bakeries (not the supermarket kind), we were elated to find the Bavarian Bakery. How wonderful to see their clean, diversified display of bread, cakes, pies, and pastries, in addition to their complete deli offering of cold cuts, soup, salads, and sandwiches. We gladly travel the hour to get there at least once a week and highly recommend it to anyone with superior taste.

Great ham and cheese and egg baked yummy goodness. Killer potato salad. Not over stuffed Reuben, so you can a tually pick it up and eat it. Just picked up a stawberry rhubarb pie.

Just moved to the area and noticed this small place off DuPont Highway. Very clean place supported by very pleasant and helpful staff. Tried their carrot cake slice, muffins and others. It was delicious just the way it should be. I’ve lived Europe so I know pastry from that part of the world. Sad to see that someone who got there 15 mins before they close gave them a bad review. You should know that equipment cleaning has to start early because they have a home to go to too! You can’t expect them to be slicing meats a few minutes before closing time ! Great new bakery! Traditional Bavarian desserts, breads, deli sandwiches, soups, meats & cheeses offered here. You can also get coffee or bottled drinks here. The service is always great. There is usually a little bit of a line (because the food is good!), but they have multiple employees who keep it moving. The chocolate eclairs are my favorite! Oh man, one time I got them as soon as they came out - still warm...wheweewoo they were good!

I was so disappointed the first day when I arrived at 3 pm and found them closed. Today, the second day, I got there about 1:30 ish and had to wait a while on line. They were already out if baguettes, so I had a delicious ham on a croissant. So fresh and tasty! I also grabbed a eclair -delicious! and a decadent chocolate cake

What makes a person get up on a Saturday morning to be at a bakery 15 minutes before their 6:30AM opening? You guessed it! This place has EXCELLENT pastries, pies, and cakes! They just opened this week and I couldn't have been more pleased with their new location. I decided to try 5 items:. Bavarian Cheesecake, Pecan Turtles, (Both of these are "must buys" for me now) Lemon Walnut Cake, Raspberry Cheesecake, and a lime something that looked, and tasted, delicious. I can honestly say that this early morning excursion made my day begin sweetly and I was a very happy customer. Keep up the great work and I will be seeing you again very soon! 2017-09-02 just picked up a Fruit Pocket, Pecan Sticky Bun, Almond Horn, and Cream Cheese Pocket. Awesome!

Bavarian Bakery and Deli has the best freshly made deli sandwiches in the Dover area, and they are huge! There's always a new and interesting sandwich to try when you walk in and the staff are very friendly. The bakery section is always overwhelming to decide upon, but I've never had a baked good from Bavarian Bakery and Deli that wasn't delicious!

Just discovered this place. Got a pumpernickel bread loaf they sliced as I watched - dark brown as it should be - I ate a heel - was just like candy to me. Wonderful selection of scrumptious deserts. They have a "club" you can join with your email and get $5 off for every $100 you spend - since I spent over $20 first visit, that will come quickly. They gave a military discount, too.

Tried this place last Friday and it was so good! I bought the peanut butter explosion (I think this is the name of this dessert). So rich, chocolatey and delivers on the peanut butter. Definitely need some milk with this but I will be back for more!

Oh my, but the pastries baked here are quite delectable. This shop makes a great bathroom and refreshment stop prior to entering SR1 toll road northbound. You will leave with a smile and the taste of sweet goodness. The store is very clean and tidy.

This Bakery is so delicious and it’s so refreshing to have fresh baked goods and not have to go to the supermarket or A chain. The staff here is wonderful!!!
