Sad experience. Came recommended by several acquaintances. Breakfast food was below average. The staff need serious training both in customer service and cleaning. This place feels dirty the second you walk in the door. Cases with pastries have crumbs everywhere despite being empty. Walls not sure if it was food or something else on there. One time stop.

The staff is friendly and the Manger/owner always checks in with you to make sure you are being served well. On weekends get there early, there is always a line but its worth it.

Best Eggs Benedict Ever. "Bunkbeds Benedict" with chicken and spicy chipotle hollandaise sauce was off the chart. All of this atop shredded hash browns was to die for. Great counter service with super friendly staff and super fast kitchen.

We were seated almost immediately despite arriving at noon on a Saturday. Bottomless coffee and tea AND the Boston Globe make this great for a lazy Sunday morning. The grilled cornbread on the western was delicious and not too sweet, an easy trap to fall into with cornbread! Their wheat toast was also impressive and tasted homemade. Their bread products were so good we splurged on dessert, a carrot cupcake. The frosting was buttery and smooth without being greasy, and had a marshmallow-like lightness to it. Again, great job not being overly sweet and letting some of the savory aspects of the carrot and spice come through!

Harvest cafe just catered my daughter's bat mitzvah kiddush. The food with delicious and presented well. My father even commented that it was the best lox he ever tasted. The staff was friendly, efficient and had everything packed for us when the meal was over. I should definitely use them again

Jalapeno cheddar bread. The rest of that sandwich was whatever else you get on a breakfast sandwich. I think there was bacon and avocado. But that bread made the trip. The cafe is a little cramped with tables packed wherever they will fit, and there were a couple larger parties (Sunday brunch crowd). My chair definitely got knocked a few times. They don't seem to split checks very well so prepare for math if you're with a group. I'd go back with one or two people, but it wouldn't be my first choice for a larger party of 6+

Fantastic spot for breakfast, though not the most inexpensive option. Family-friendly, they have a kids' menu that doubles as a picture to color and display on their wall. Eggs Benedict is consistently delicious, and the corned beef hash is made fresh daily. Fresh-baked breads and scones compliment the meal. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive.

The menu has a wide variety of options to choose from. I had the Farmer's Benedict, which was fantastic. The atmosphere was busy and a bit on the loud side but overall, typical cafe scene. Loved the artwork on the wall! Service was good & prompt. We will be coming back.

We've been going to Harvest Bakery for 12 years. We love it. The food, their team, everything about it is great. The only downside is that it's small. And sometimes getting a table can be difficult. But it's always worth the wait. Though you may want to go early or late to avoid the crowds.

The food was very good and the serving size was Decent. Lots of choices for all types of preference. The pricing is high.. $30 for 2 omelets, 1 soda and a corn muffin. The staff was interesting to say the least. The woman at the cash register was "in another world" as were many of the wait staff. Not quick. The only good worker was a middle aged gentlemen, I am assuming he is the owner. If he didn't constantly tell the other staff what to do, it appeared nothing would get done.

Great spot! AMAZING and vast breakfast selections. Very happy with their in-dining service and experience I’ve had thus far. I’ve also done take out several times as well and that experience is also great! Needless to say, you’re greeted with a busy but very friendly smile; your order is checked for accuracy, utensils included then charged for the meal and sent on your merry way! The only tiny complaint (not really even a complaint) I have, but then again, I think everyone has this, “suggestion” is if the portions could be a tad bit bigger than what is currently offered. I feel as if after you take your 2nd or 3rd bite; the meals almost over, which sucks because the food is so good it’s like you never want it to end!! keep up the good work Harvest and make the portions a tad bit larger, please, as a-little bit goes a long way!

I have been here many, many times and I have never had a bad experience. The cleanliness of the eating area and the friendliness of the staff are exactly in line with what I expect from a quality, local eatery. This is not molecular gastronomy, folks. This is a diner with hot coffee and some of the best eggs Benedict that I have had in years. Seriously, these guys can poach the hell out of an egg. And I haven't even talked about the bakery! Just go.

Quaint little bakery where you can take out or dine in. I got quiche to go since I had an appointment and it was absolutely delicious! Ready to go back for a sit down breakfast. UPDATE: I recently went back for a sit-down breakfast with my daughter and it was Simply Delicious. I had crepes stuffed with lemon mascarpone and the dish was covered in fresh berries. My daughter had croissant French toast and she loved it as well. The staff is super friendly and very attentive. Will definitely be going back.

this is the best place for breakfast in the Hartford area. Fresh breads, on site bakery, omelets and specialties and a great, friendly atmosphere. There is a small counter area and tables - it can look crowded when you walk in but the wait is worth it and they do a great job of getting you seated quickly. Don't miss it!

Update: came back here after a hiatus and was extremely pleased with the service and the food was absooutely phenomenal. Ordered one of the specials that came with a scallion biscuit, scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, and some tomatoes. Eggsbwere cooked to perfection and the biscuit was succulent, flakey, and a perfect combination with the rest of the flavors. My original review was unfair as I'm sure any restaurant may have an off day. But my return here was an excellent experience and will go back again.

Great food. Wonderful service. Often there is a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. And while you wait you can browse the good assortment of delicious breads, quiches, cookies, pies, cakes, and cupcakes in their cases. They serve home style breakfast done really well - fresh ingredients, a nice mix of standards and specials, and attentive service. They are one of the few local places whose pancakes I like and they have crispy breakfast potatoes. They serve lunch items too. Try their soups. And they cater.

I purchase some bakery items for my wife's birthday. We bought a carrot tea bread and a cinnamon Walnut coffee cake. We have found that they always have good quality food here. They only serve breakfast and lunch and close at 2:30 p.m. so this is a place very good for breakfast and lunch. they are very busy on the weekends and on holidays so if you plan to come here a weekday would be much better.

Harvest is great for breakfast. There is a long line but if you live close they are great with take out. We get the take out a lot so we get the great food without the wait. I have not had their lunch but I have heard it is excellent as well. It is pricy but we usually do not eat lunch after a breakfast here so it is like getting two meals.

Portions are not overly large, and the prices are moderate. The service is excellent, and the food is delicious - excellent breakfast place. Come early to avoid what could be a long wait. If you have a big appetite, make sure you have a budget to match. Breakfast averages $10-15/pp. I had freshly made quiche with asparagus and tomato. The crust was flakey and the egg was fluffy. I also had a side of corned beef hash which was quite good, obviously made in their own kitchen. Onions and/or green pepper would have taken it to the next level. Even so, it was quite tasty. The coffee is also good, and fresh, and they will keep your cup full. Overall, I would return, again - even though it's 25 minutes from home. Sometimes you need something different - and Harvest Café & Bakery fills the bill.

My partner and I come here every Saturday, we have been doing so since probably Fall 2018. We love the food, the variety of specials options, the staff, everything they offer is fantastic. Heard this place was great, couldn't get near it on a weekend due to lines out the door. Went a few weeks ago for breakfast during the week. Nothing memorable here, forgot what I even ordered. My companion was not impressed with their food either. There were maybe 3 tables eating in the place yet no one came to check on us. Was not offered a refill on coffee until after we had asked for our check, which placed it right at the crossroads of too little and too late. Not sure if people line up here because it's one of the only places around serving breakfast besides McD's, but I would not wait in line for the breakfast I had there.

We gathered here for breakfast today, shocking the staff as they had to put five regular tables together to accommodate us. They did so well though, that the food was delicious, the portions were huge, and we had the best laughter and family time we could have had, which is what both our parents would have wanted.
