Delicious and unique bread, wonderful and friendly staff, if you love bread this is your local bakery. Great Harvest has the most delicious bread in the area, I am so excited that they have rebuilt bigger and better than the Main St store but have the same incomparable bread and friendly staff. Try the fresh baked, warm white cheddar garlic bread first thing on a Thursday morning or the stuffed potato early Saturday!

Amazing atmosphere and staff. You are welcomed the minute you walk-in. The smells make you feel like you are at grandma's house. There bread is always fresh. They have a huge variety of sweets and breads. They also serve sandwiches for breakfast and lunch. Catering is also an option to feed a small or large crowd. They also serve an amazing jam that comes on the breakfast sandwich called bacon jam by the couchon cannery company. Awesome is the only word to describe it.

My routine is to go to Great Harvest in the morning, get a sample and call it breakfast and then take a tuna fish sandwich home for lunch. Its a good system. Let me brag about the sandwich. First of all, gotta get the white bread. I know, I know, wheat and that Dakota bread are yummy too. I say go for the white with the tuna fish. Otherwise, the tuna might lose out to the bread. Let them load it with lettuce, tomato, and red onion, but then, ask for sliced cucumber and salt and pepper. Now we are talking. I'm telling you, this is the perfect tuna fish sandwich. Perfectly salty, soft with little crisp from the cukes, and creamy from the mayo dressing. I can never finish a whole sandwich, so I get to spread the joy over a whole afternoon.... Eating half at noon and the other half at 3. So good, trust me. Three more things that make this place a fine star: Coke products, endless sweets like cinnamon monkey bread and salted ginger cookies, and dinner rolls to die for (pre order them for holidays.) So, make the trip. Grab a sample, order a sandwich, and take some treats home to the family. Great Harvest will not disappoint.

I stopped here yesterday and picked up a loaf of white cheddar garlic and a loaf of pesto pamesan. Had them with dinner last night, toasted for breakfast and toasted again with dinner tonight. This is by far the best bread I have ever had. I stopped there years ago, but it's not really close by for me so I hadn't been back. Now I'm kicking myself. This is worth going out of your way for.

We love going here for the special tea times she hosts. In this case I invited several women in my family as a celebration for mother's day. Not only are the breads and baked goods delicious and well-priced, staff are friendly and helpful. Not sure which loaf to buy? They'll offer you a sample. Ditto for baked goods. I'm having a strawberry oatmeal bar for breakfast after sampling a (generous) few bites. And when I purchased two loaves of bread to bring to a client's employees, the very nice woman at the counter not only offered to slice but also packaged the loaves in a box for better display in the breakroom. I love this place!

I've never not been greeted with a big hippie WELCOME TO GREAT HARVEST when I've gone. They have a few college cuties and a nice old man. She must have stepped into a burger king and confused the two. Overall great bread and baking items. I wish they had a slightly more variety in sandwiches, but overall it's great. I’ve been there a few times , not the best experience, never welcomed in as I’ve seen employees welcoming other customers , let’s say that from 3 only 1 time I have felt welcomed in that place , I don’t know what is up to them not been white or afro they just don’t treat you right or fair , today I stopped by and I understand they were busy , but not that much to see people coming in and know who was first , I waited for a few minutes and people kept coming in , so they rather to help others but not me who was standing up there waiting for my turn , I really hope that they receive training on treating people, I wasn’t there to ask for something for free I was going to pay like the other customers , but that is ok if that’s the way they run their business, just remember to treat others they way you’d like to be treated , Thank for nothing!

I was familiar with Great Harvest having lived in the KC area. Was thrilled to find out that one has opened in Cedar Rapids. The breads are awesome. Its wonderful to have access to true real bread not the cotton batting you find in most grocery stores. I went one day and got the Gorgonzola Pecan, Harvest White and some sweets. I tried the Panza while there and was bowled over by its incredible flavor. I went back the next day to get Panza and the American Rye. All their breads make awesome sandwiches. The sales people were very accommodating to me with physical disabilities and that was greatly appreciated.
