I am only giving this establishment one star because the Neil that works there is nice and customer friendly. The female co-owner is the complete opposite. She is extremely rude for someone who works in such an environment. This lady was rude to both her co-owner and I when I was trying to place an order and then she was in charge of making my cake pops. This lady bagged cracked cake pops for me and charged me full price. I opened my order to find this unpleasant presentation of food only to be accompanied by her rude remarks that the cake pops can come cracked. When I asked for my refund she says no. Neil politely admitted they made a mistake and refunded my money. Avoid this place if you can because this is the third time she has been extremely rude and I think it’s time I gave my honest opinion about the bakery.

Their Italian cookies are the best I’ve ever tried. Lemon cookies are so lemony, almond cookies are scrumptious ... they all have an individual taste. And they are beautiful! Bread is amazing as well. Overall a great Italian Bakery! Not to be missed

Best Italian bakery around. The fresh fruit cake is my family’s favorite. It’s our go to birthday cake! The selection of cookies by the lb is always fantastic and delicious. It is so nice to have such lovely spot near by!

The fresh fruit cake with whipped cream 'frosting' is to die for. It is as good as the best I've ever had, and this comes from a lifetime experience of these cakes. I cannot recommend it enough. No need to go to Hartford for the best in Italian baked goods. Everything else I've had from the bakery is also of the highest quality, ingredients and taste.

I would call this place a high-end Italian bakery, baking & selling much more than your average pastries! Not being Italian or having any experience w/their exquisite desserts, I had to ask what certain items were. The clerk was kind & helpful. The desserts looked excellent!

So they talked me out of the fruit cake I wanted, and I ended up with a dry yellow cake with almost can-like white frosting and fillings. I kid you not- this was a Stop and Shop level cake and put a sour note on a part of our wedding. It was a 'one bite and put it down' thing. UN-RECOMMENDED

First time I ordered cakes from here went perfectly fine, second time cake was way smaller than I expected and overpriced, now this third time they totally messed up, nothing like I ordered it weeks ago, had my number didn't call me to tell me, my kids were so disappointed, never coming here again, had to go to grocery store and buy icing and stuff to make it look good, didn't offer any discount or ideas to make it better, they also messed up on a friend of mines cake few months ago too she's still ticked, beware of this place!!

Went into the shop it wasn't that busy. The lady behind the counter was not very friendly or very helpful. This is my first time in the shop and there was no signs to tell me what the items were and the lady seemed like she just really didn't want to be bothered to answer questions. So I just picked at random what looked good. I had a whole box full of sweets from a sour-faced woman.I tried every single one of them and I didn't like any of them. I was really disappointed because this place gets such high reviews.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I ordered a wedding cake through this bakery with specifically what I would like it to look like. They assured me it was no problem. When their delivery guy showed up with the cake, he started shoving the real flowers my florist ordered onto the cake. She said she would rather do it so it came out how I wanted. He said he knew what it was supposed to look like and kept shoving the flowers into the frosting with his bare hands. When I called to complain, the manager told me I was incorrect and that the cake looked exactly how I requested and that if I was unhappy that was just too bad. I'd love to know if anyone else agrees with her that these look similar? Because it absolutely does not. She also said they are not expected to provide a cake box...for their cakes...... she said it was up to me. Because of course I have nothing else to think about but providing myself a cake box for a $335 wedding cake. Will absolutely never go to this bakery again and would encourage you not to either.

Horrible!!! First and last time i will EVER order a cake from this bakery! I orders a Giants theme cake, i got a basic cake with the colors red, blue and red! Looked like a 4th of July Cake. They added 3 plastic small footballs as if that would make it look anything close to a football the cake. They try adding the Giants logo on the side. Looked faded just sloppy. Bjs does better cakes then this! Never again. If u want a nice detailed cake please go elsewhere. Negative star!

The co-owner (lady) is very rude. She cracked my friends cake pops and had an extremely bad attitude about it. She told us that we "should expect that the cakes will be cracked". The other owner was nice and refunded but the woman is Horrible!

I ordered a half sheet red velvet cake with a cream cheese center and buttercream frosting for a birthday party. The ordering process went very smoothly, I just placed the order over the phone and even paid over the phone so it could be picked up easily. When my fiancé went to pick up the cake at the appointed time they advised it would need to stay refrigerated right up until it was eaten due to the cream cheese. Since we didn't have a place to put it (huge cake!) they agreed to hold on to it for another 4 hours or so in their fridge. The cake was very nicely decorated and was delicious. Very moist and rich and a deep red. Many of the guests asked where I got it. This was my first time ordering a cake that didn't come from a supermarket bakery so it was pricier then I was used to, but certainly far far better quality.
