When i was a kid my dad would get us a special breakfast from time to time. I would hear him getting his jacket on and heading out. I would skamper down to living room, sit on the couch, and pull a blanket over me. A few minutes later the door would open and the cool of the morning swept across the room with the smell of hot bread. He had a bag of fresh baked rolls from ele-fant that were warm enough to melt the generous pat of butter i spread across the crumb. The bread is just as good today as it was back then.
