Leah Brite

Amazing croissants, pastries and bread! This is simply the best bakery in all of Denver :)

Jim Thomas

Excellent french pastries by a true french baker, these are not loaded with sugar or high fructose like most large US city bakeries, instead like you would get in small villages in France.

Lucious Shellman

An enjoyable French bakery. I like their croissants. I've also purchased their quiche.

Brian Kinkade

Absolutely wonderful bread and pastries...

Daniel Melameth

Extreme happiness in every bite.

pat landers

Soooooo good. Embrace your inner fat kid

Jim Conley

Good bakery with Kaladi coffee and very good service. The almond croissant was more of a cake consistency than a croissant, but it was delicious. They did have traditional croissants, other pastries and quiches. Several tables to dine in if you choose. They have a shared parking lot.

Thomas Blumenthal

Authenticity Central. Crazy good.

Tyler Morgan

Great place. Get there early for the best picks!

Zeshan Ahmad

French bakery with flakey croissants, fresh bread and eclaires if you are lucky

Tabitha Justice

Trompeau Bakery became a favorite quite quickly. It is on a route we take every day so it was a surprise that it was only recently discovered. It only took one visit and my husband and I looked at each other in the car and nearly went in for more. Since that day it has been a go-to spot for amazing breads, pastries, etc. They have nearly everything that is associated with bread. Be warned, what they have on display is it for the day. It's best to show up early if you want an amazing selection. However any time of business hours will still leave you pleased. I highly recommend!

Jennifer Popham

Long lines on the weekend and steady stream of customers on the weekdays for croissants, quiche, and bread. I personally enjoy the butter, brie, ham sandwich on a baguette.

Maria Gentile

Pastries greasy and hard. Hardly any chocolate in the chocolate croissant. What happened to this place? They used to be so good.

Chrissy and Scott Baker

I had been frequenting the gym next door and was constantly tantalized by the delicious smells emanating from this cute little bakery, but never stopped by until today. Turns out that is probably a good thing, because their croissants are DIVINE and I have little self control when it comes to sweets. I went in to grab a french baguette and was pleased with the reasonable price. Naturally, I was intrigued by their pastries (which I had heard many positive reviews for from other gym goers) so I decided to try to chocolate almond croissant. It was so flaky and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Truly the perfect, indulgent treat. Go. You won't be disappointed. The french baguette was fluffy and delightful as well. Amazing!

Eric K

Good food, but very limited if you don’t come early!

Bryce C

Great staff & even better food. Had 3 different cooking, an elephant ear, and a sandwich thing I forgot the name of, all were amazing, definitely be back

GW Roberts

A REAL French Bakery were flavor & quality are supreme. I love this bakery, ever since their Evans location. No matter how far your drive to get there, the trip will be justified thru and thru! Enjoy, relax, laugh, enjoy, friends and/or family .... life is short!

Rachael Ross

Trompeau Bakery has a lot of authentic French food including quiches and the classic pain au chocolat (chocolate croissant) and other bread. It also has lots of great creative pastries for everyone's tastes.

hesham alklidy

I was with my friend who recommended this place for me and he took me there !! I was surprised when the rude guy who’s working there refused to sell Brioches to my friend for no reason!! I really got chocked !! Bad customer services !!

William Oliver

Best French breads in Colorado.

Stephanie Rosvall

everything looked ans smelled delicious! The chocolate croissant is awesome!

DARD

Best croissants in town.

Alexandra McDaniel

By 9 am they're sold out of all croissants. All you. All you can get is a quiche. When I asked when the next batch will be ready they said 2 hrs. Really? On a Saturday? This was my 3rd attempt of going there and I still haven't had a ham and cheese croissant :(

Jonathan Gelaude

A multi-generation, family-owned and run business that has the best French pastries and bread in Denver. They provide bread and pastries and numerous coffee shops and restaurants around town, which is a testament to the quality of their product. I drive from NW Denver on a regular basis just to pick up croissants and a variety of other items, and have been doing so now for numerous years, including when they were just a hole-in-the-wall just west of Denver University. Their new location is much more spacious and can better accommodate the crowds that line-up, especially on Saturdays. Reasonably priced as well, considering the typical level of bread and pastries they turn out. One thing they might be able to improve upon is their selection of gluten-free items, but this might not be realistically possible for the space they have. Definitely a Denver Destination!

Philippe Reisacher

Best Croissants in Colorado the best I have ever tasted in the U.S. I lived in France for 10 years, I know my croissant. Warning! The line is out the front door by7am on Saturdays.

Kelly Gentry

This is the only french bakery to go to in town. We've been customers for years! Try the Chausson!

Emily Young

Best French Bakery in town!

Michael Carpenter

Great croissant. Fresh made on site

Robin Dickinson

We're so lucky to have Trompeau! They have delicious savory French baked goods. My favorites are the quiches. My kids love the croissants. And the bread is so good, my daughter insisted on spending her allowance on her own loaf!

Angelina Hendricks

LOVE this place! Best french pastries in town, hands down. Unfortunately, there is not much room to dine there with a cup of coffee.

Emily Ford

This bakery is amazing! I love any and all of their traditional pastries and loaves. Mmmm fresh chibatta and chocolate crossiants. The baguette with some butter is my absolute favorite! I have had a few of their deserts as well and i must advise that you try the fruit tart and eclairs. The next best thing is actually being in France, enjoy!

Julie Martinage

Delicious pastries, the closest i could find to the ones i used to get in France.

Erik Hensel

Easily best French pastries and bread in Denver!

Aaron Ewers

One of the best bakery's/ coffee shops you can possibly find, plus different baked items everyday. Blessed to live within walking distance. Seriously if this place goes under because they don't have enough customers I'll be pissed, so GO HERE! lol

Beth Blomquist

Lovely food and service! Recommend coming before 10 am for best selection.

Zana Pavlovic

Love this place! Best croissants in Denver

Mariesa Ho

The chocolate almond croissant is delicious and rich!

Natalia Gareau

Sure, the ladies r French and they r nice but selection was very limited and the stuff I got was just alright I can get the same at Wal-Mart and it will taste no worst than from this bakery and cheaper Basically, I won't be back These guys should get some pointers from a French bakery in Ft Collins

Jill Terrill

Best crossainte I've ever had

Kj Anderson

OK, so this is for sure among the best bakeries in town, for authentic French croissants. HOWEVER, the coffee here only gets a D-. Too bad... they use Kaladi coffee beans, but the brewing system is weak, and they make very watered down coffee. My suggestion is to buy your croissant to go and find another place to enjoy it. GREAT CROISSANTS NEED GREAT COFFEE.

Tom Cummins

Great pastries and good friendly service.

Travis Hodson

Authentic and amazing. Just as good as anything I've had in Paris. A gem of the neighborhood.

Rafael Salinas

Great pastry the coffee is good but not as good as the pastries

luci loo

UPDATE: 4/17/2018. Service has markedly improved. Best place for baked goods, hands down! Yes, their pastries are delightful!!! But I've gotta say, their customer service is not. (And I feel like I must be missing something because everyone else says the opposite!) This bakery is an easy drive from my house - and I love their fresh bread (which is very affordable) and croissants - but I only go when I have a serious hankering and I don't want to bake myself. I swear every time I go there, the same lady helps me and she refuses to engage and is very short with me if she does. She acts like it's such an imposition for me to ask questions. I'm sorry I'm not totally savvy about French pastries! I brought my mom here right after we moved to Englewood and as soon as we got back to our car, she whispered, "That lady was such a b***!" That was maybe #2 of 2 times I have heard my mom swear.

Melissa Reed

I purchased three quiches and the 2nd quiche was so salty like the junior Baker poured salt for the day into that one pie. They are so expensive that I made three separate phone calls to the bakery with the hope they would do something about this. They never phoned me back. So poor customer service!!!

Barbara Whiting

We love taking out of town guests to all our favorite spots and that is just what we did recently. Amazing flaky pastries here. When this placed first opened and the word got out there were lines out the door and for good reason. The lines have tamed and you can actually take a seat in the dining area now, but the popularity has not died, there is still a steady stream of people coming in. The pastries are still flaky and delicious! My husband's favorite is the Chocolate Pear Croissant and I am torn between the Coconut Cream and Chocolate Walnut. It is all good and never disappointing!

Karina Gutierrez

Delicioso el pan, caro pero sabroso algo muy diferente alo k diario comemos, lo recomiendo en especial de pan de almendra.

Carlos Luna

I have been coming here about once a week since February with my daughter and we absolutely love it! Can't find anywhere else like it. Fresh baked goods every morning! The prices are amazing! On top of it all the staff is super friendly and helpful. If you're looking for something a little different for breakfast give this place a go and try not to fall in love.

Matt Renstrom

Good little bakery! Go early sometimes they run out of the popular items.

Claire Czarnecki

The mushroom croissant is incredible as is everything that I've tasted from the shop, savory to sweet. They do run out of things quickly (by 8 AM) so preordering is a great idea.

Catherine Zirker

I haven't had pastries like these since I was in Paris! And I'm a chef!!!!! Delicious!

Susan Hokama

Trompeau always delivers consistently quality baked goods that keep me coming back and make me want to invite others to experience their delicious pastries!

Christie Reed

Best pastries in town!

Matthew Allen

This is a wonderful place with wonderful food. I loved the cherry chausson. So awesome

Steve Van Wasshenova

If you like any kind of French baked good, this is a Denver must. Do yourself a favor and see for yourself why it's a 5 star bakery.

Rachel Feldmann

I love this place with all my heart. I just wish they wouldn't make it so hard to get to the coffee.

Brian Sabel

Everything is delicious!

Jim Angiello

Delicious pastries.

Catherine Durso

Great bread and sweet and savory pastry!

Dru Shockley

Always love Trompeau for wonderful treats that melt in the mouth. I bug them by asking what just came out. Mouth watering just thinking about it.

Lynn Pastore

paula coleman

Best bakery in town

Paul

Amazing French bakery. Where else in the Denver area can you walk in and get croque monsieur? The pastries are amazing. Delicious breads.

Jennifer Makaga Essongue

I just love it

Seyf Altimimi

I used to like this place a lot !! Especially the owner’s spouse “ She is very polite ! She’s an American and speaks amazing French !” But I’m giving 1 star bcs I had a bad experience with a guy who’s working there! He refused to sell me the Brioches on Sat July 6th!! Usually I go there every Sat for the Brioche! He made me feel so bad !! He was so rude !!

Greg Knaddison

Delicious french baked goods of amazing variety. If you come later in the day they are more likely to have a line (sometimes out the door) of customers who love their foods. They also tend to run out of certain pastries as the day goes on. If you want something specific and your order is big enough you can call in ahead, but really they almost always have alternatives that are good. For holidays, their pies and quiches are very popular so an advanced order is a wise choice.

Dan Snyder

Really good local spot with good pastries. Line was super long but oh well.

Eric

Fantastic French pastries and breads! There is not a better place in Denver (and probably Colorado).

Ron Halfman

Had a cream cheese danish and a sausage and pepper quiche. Both were excellent. Glad I live far away because I would eat here everyday

Mary Beth Witte

Delicious pastries and bread! A little of flavors and options.

Brittany Richardson

After having lived in Seattle and San Francisco where some of the world's best bakeries are operating, this place is very disappointing. Denver simply has zero options for truly authentic, high quality, delicious baked goods. The walnut croissant I bought was lackluster and way too big to be considered "authentic." the dough wasn't nearly as flaky, buttery and light as I've been lucky enough to have before, but it was at least palatable.

Angelo Marasco

Some of the best fresh croissants in Denver. Very easy to support local family businesses when they are this good. Be careful, they run out pretty quickly on the weekends!

jennifer h

Authentic French bakery with wide selection of breads and pastries.

Geoffrey

Nice atmosphere. Yummy food. Great service.

Kevin Fischer

Because it's made with Love

M Beres

Friendly staff. Great destination if you want a taste of French culture, or some amazing baked goods. Prices more than fair. I ordered the almond strawberry croissant, and the bacon broccoli quiche, both excellent.

Joe Sessoms

They have the best filled croissants in town not to mention all the other goodies that they make every once in awhile I roll in at 10 and I'm lucky enough to get what I want places it's super busy sometimes so plan on picking two or three things you might like cuz two of them might be gone

Bret Kantola

Three times now I have ordered a couple of ham and cheese croissants and I get home and find Turkey in them. If I could get what I order I would love this place instead of just liking it very much. Come on guys, mark your stuff better and put the right thing in the bag next time. Dang!!!

Bobby Larson

A large variety of what I can only describe as some of the best croissants I've ever had.

Nancy Waanders

Amazing pastry, croissants, and bread. Both savory and sweet.

joan

Great croissants and a very happening kind of place. Take a peek at the machinery — they make a ton of baked goods.

Rachael Rhein

Okay, first the staff is amazing!! Everyone there is super friendly. It definitely has a family run atmosphere. And the pastries and bread are incredibly. The food is beautiful and it tastes delicious. Highly recommend!!!!

Michele Blake

My husband visited Trompeau Bakery a few weeks back and told me they had the best croissants he had ever tasted outside of France! So when my friend suggested we meet here, of course I said yes. Well, my husband was right — the croissants are out of this world!! The sweet lady who served us was so kind to every customer, and my only suggestion would be for more tables outside, for all the people who want to enjoy the shaded patio area in the morning. Can't wait to go back for more buttery goodness!!!

Tracy Walker

Having worked in Paris for 18 months, I had become somewhat addicted to my morning mocha and fresh croissants, and this is the only bakery I've found in Colorado.. especially at altitude... that evokes those fond memories. A fabulous traditional bakery. Be patient when you are in line - everyone receives courteous attention, but get there early for best selection.

p Lore

Best French bakery in Denver!

Elin Franzen Curry

The most delicious pastries of all time!!! And the price is right!

Noel Lyons

Love everything they make! I've met many here for coffee and a baked treat.

Tina Morales

This place is great. I'm never disappointed. Great staff, awesome prices & delicious baked goods. Come early or you won't have much to choose from.

Dave Griebling

Hidden in a corner so I felt like I stumbled on it. Driven by 1000 times. Glad I finally spotted this place.

jeff M76

Katherine Crowley

Kent Beaber

Best croissants- hands down.

Joan Arpin

Delightfully light flaky fruit pastries . A bit noisy for conversation because of the bakery next door. Would stop in again for sure.

Mike Jones

Truly a wonderful bakery for all your needs. I love to drop in for a coffee and a pastry. Pure joy.

Joy

The customer service is terrible! We asked for a specific baked good and the lady said, if you don’t see it then we don’t have it. Of course you can’t see any items because the line is out of the door. The pastries are mostly good but inconsistent. If there’s something that you like, don’t expect to find it on a regular basis. The only thing consistent thing is the rude behavior.

Julie Crafton

Favorite bakery forever!

Tulle by Design

I love the Rosemary bread!

Rebecca Wan

I usually love everything this bakery does. I’ve never had a complaint. But I recently bought a Bouche Noelle (Swiss log cake) and I’m extremely disappointed. It is flavorless. The cake portion was very, very small and it was dry and had a gravely texture, while still being soaked with liquid and oversweetened. Somehow it’s wet and dry textured at the same time. The frosting (about 85% of the cake) tastes fine, it doesn’t really have a flavor and it’s So. Much. Frosting! The cake does have a flavor but because the texture is all wrong I don’t want to eat it. I wanted to bring it in to work on Christmas Eve but I wouldn’t serve this and I feel like I wasted thirty dollars.

Said Brahimi

the best bakery in colorado

Wendy Meyer

Croissants are delicious

George Papalekos

Great family french bakery. Best chocolate croissants in Denver! Cant go wrong with buying your fresh french baguette or delicious pastries here.

Uyen Tran

I was excited to visit after reading all the good reviews this bakery received. I really wanted this place to be my go to, but I left with disappointment. 3/5 because the croissants were just okay... they weren’t as fluffy as I expected it to be. I felt like I was biting into a baguette. Also, the daughter working the front wasn’t very welcoming. It seemed like she was unhappy to be there. For a person to be the first contact of the environment, I hoped to encounter a person who is cheerful and friendly. There are many shops and markets that sell the same pastries I purchased so a great first impression makes or breaks the deal for me... My boyfriend lives in Paris, and we always have a croissant and chocolate croissant (pain au chocolat) for breakfast when I visit. I hope to find a boulangerie with croissants more alike those in France. Unfortunately, I am rating this bakery as mediocre. I will not drive another 20 minutes to buy again.

Spencer Bryan

Great bakery. Get here early to avoid the lines.

Jeffery Tatum

Awesome baked goods

Christopher Dirgo

chouette, tres magnifique, pas trop chere

Rob Bender

Amazing..simple..authentic French bakery. Tons of croissants and their various forms (blueberry, choc, lemon, etc). Baguettes and various other fresh breads.

ezra wright

Theresa M Anderson

Stop here as often as possible. Closest to Europe you will find.

Rebecca Gilsdorf

I love Barb and Pascal - and the rest of their staff too! So friendly, so warm and welcoming. Pascal and his bakers are masters. Denver is so lucky to have them here. The Chausson au pommes is like heaven on a plate!

Scott Baxter

Nice local French bakery in beautiful Englewood Colorado. Friendly staff very attentive greet you and serve you enthusiastically.

Roni Hamam

Delicious French croissant and rich flavor of baguettes It’s becoming my favorite bakery in town

Jellie Gauthier

We had a Croque-Monsieur for lunch-it was horrible!!! First is was offered to us cold and we had to ask for it to be warmed. It was soggy and the bottom half of the bread was not browned at all. Just one tasteless mess!

M Cohrs

Great little French bakery and cafe, they close at 2pm and stock is slim after lunch.

Rudy Peckman

This is the best French bakery in Denver hands down!

Sheila Adam

Best French pastries ever!!

Christian Thomas

Top! Meilleurs Croissants de Denver

M Alanazi

Worst customer service ever ! The lady working at the front doesn't like to be asked questions!! She is very rude. I've read a review complaining about that and I did happened today to me. The bakery is an easy drive from my home , but the old lady who works at front literally will ask you not to come again if you ask questions !!!!!
