This is a quaint old fashioned bakery. The owners work hard to showcase their artisan breads and pastries. The sandwiches are yummy and the coffee is also good. There is an enclosed garden area next to it and the bakery sits across from the park. I highly recommend this stop for anyone visiting La Veta. We will be back again next visit!!

Amazing food that truly has that farm to table taste! I can't speak highly enough of the bacon cheeseburger, southwest slaw, carrot cake, and especially the owners themselves! Super friendly and accommodating, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our meal. Will be back on my next visit to town!

This place has a very European feel and uses fresh local ingredients. Fresh baked goods and amazing specials make it a very special place worth the side trip to beautiful LA Veta. Gluten free and vegetarian and vegan options. The fries are very good as was everything.

We just had lunch here. I would call this restaurant a hidden jewel. The food was as gourmet as a big city restaurant but down home comfortable. You felt like you were in someone's home. The only downside is I live several hundred miles away.

A friend and I stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. The owner was extremely friendly and kind and was willing to think a bit outside the box to accommodate my dietary restrictions. I did not request a sriracha mayo sauce, but it was included on the side and am I glad it was! Super tasty. And the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend stopping in.

Stayed in this town overnight before heading off to Great Sand Dunes the next day. This bakery was a MUST in La Vega. They were incredibly kind and the food was amazing! If you stop in, be sure to get their toffee danish! Yummm

This place was fantastic. What a great find in the small town of La Veta! All the pastries and breads were well done like you'd find in a larger city.... I'm from NY and we even compared it to there, which is difficult here in Colorado when it comes to bakeries. My mom even bought extra to bring home and freeze. They even have tables, breakfast and lunch are served. I can't wait to return to La Veta just to go here. Worth a trip if you're anywhere nearby.
