I walked in to order my breakfast sandwich, first time I had been to Brueggers in a while. Ordered my sandwich and this women started to make the sandwich. I kid you not, this women coughed into her hand and continued to make my sandwich. I received my sandwich paid for it and threw the sandwich away, then I promised myself to write a review of Brueggers Bagel Sandwich bakery.

Expert service by Brian! I called within 30 minutes of their closing as I was driving from Des Moines for Chicago. We enjoy Bruegger's Bagels but there isn't a Bruegger's in the entire state of Illinois so I wanted to bring a treat home to share with my wife. Brian set aside an order of Everything bagels and stayed open a few minutes after closing waiting for me. That's customer service and I really appreciate Brian for making it happen. I wish there was a Bruegger's Bagels near us...with Brian! Thanks again, Brian.

Another location in Denver we're the staff must be super high. I was in line and had to tell the lady my bagel type 3 times, and even after that, she came to our table and asked me again what bagel type I wanted. I guess I'm glad she reconfirmed it other than... Guessing?.. not sure if that's a good thing or not. The food was very underwhelming. We ordered their bagel sandwiches that they make and they were so bone dry and plain, we ended up just throwing them out after a couple bites then walked to Starbucks.

Service was fast, and the waitstaff were super friendly; if I'm back in Arlington, I'll definitely be tempted to return.

The staff does not care about the customers, I ask the lady to make a sandwich for me and showed her the picture of the sandwich that I wanted .. she put no effort on making it good. She grabbed a bagel put cheese , lettuce and Turkey and squished it and gave it to me. My husband was in line waiting and she ignored him until I told that he was waiting for her because he was also going to ordered. The same problem with his sandwich made no effort on making it. This place needs better employees and try to make the food how it actually looks in the pictures . I would not recommend this place to anybody I know.

Slow service during the times I was there from 12:45-1:30pm They also don’t brew fresh coffee when it’s finished. The bagels are still awesome, though. I just wish the service was better, this makes me not want to come to this Bruegger’s.

Never coming to this store again. 9:45am and it took 10 minuets for them to help us when they weren't even busy at all. They were just standing around! Our food was sitting on the counter done before they realized it and had to bag it up AFTER I paid. Not to mention, the MANAGER came out to help THEIR friend who was BEHIND my friend who came with me to order something too. They finally got to said friends order and didn't even bag it. Just slid it across the counter to her. Worst customer experience.

Very inconsistent. Went there 2 mornings in a row(my mistake). The first morning, the guy working just looked at me with a blank stare and had a miserable attitude. Although he had a terrible attitude, that bagel was good. The 2nd day, a nice lady greets me and I proceed to place the exact same order I had placed the day before. The only difference is that the bagel sandwich sucked. There were 2 less strips of bacon on it than the day before and the cheese was not melted(which I had pointed out to her as she was making it and she assured me that they put the cheese on after the bagel is toasted...makes no sense). Finally, the exact same sandwich I ordered 2 days in a row, cost 2 different prices. I am sure they have some sort of company standard in regards on how they make bagels... and how they ring things up...one would think.

You need a better system. If your system is to ask your customer what they have so you can charge them, charge them for what the customer tells you they have. When you ask me what I got and I answer that I have a bagel, charging me for bagel plus cream cheese is not what I said, so why do you ask? It is really, really simple work, but I am overcharged everytime I come here. Work it out. On the plus side, best everything bagel around.

I love going to brueggers on a saturday or sunday morning. The line moves quickly and stuff is usually very fresh. If you have never gotten it, get the jalepeno cream cheese. It is yum yum.

My wife went in to order a few sandwiches, and was greeted with "eggs take 2 to 3 minutes". She said that's fine and started her order. The guy turned around and started cooking the eggs without saying anything, and my wife wasn't done ordering. After a couple minutes she asked if she could still order, and he said "I'm cooking the eggs for you!" So everyone could hear. The manager didn't even say anything to him, so my wife, embarrassed, walked out. I wish I would have been there.

I will just give 1 star because is the only option I have...place is always crowded not enough employees to help the demand of costumers. A guy wasted tame asking to other new employee if he know how to do stuff , something it should be done prior they open the store not when I was in the line waiting. “Manager” extremely rude. A blonde lady with tattoos on her right arm yelling to costumers to move to check out. Disgusting! I will not come here again. If someone read this. You shouldn’t come either! Horribly experience!

I love Brueggers and was so excited to eat here until our experience Sunday. I wanted a plain bagel with veggie cream cheese and salmon on top, instead since they were out of plain bagels (?) I ordered a sun-dried tomato bagel instead, but they gave me a salmon bagel, which is just plain cream cheese and I cannot stand capers that was included on it, but that wasnt even the worst part, before chomping into it, i found a dead FLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never eat here again. Sorry, one fly does it for me along with not getting what I ordered.

Not bad. A bit pricey for the breakfast sandwiches. The skin on my bagel was not very well developed. They say "classic NY" style, but it doesn't seem like they boil the bagels. Maybe I just got a dud. I'll probably give it a second shot, but I'll just get a bagel instead of a whole sandwich.

The cheap folks at corporate have decided to sub out the real sausage for fake sausage to make a few extra bucks so cannot recommend breakfast sandwiches. The service here is good, fast and they are not stingy with the cream cheese like in other places which I avoid.

The company I work for moved into the building across the street, making this the most convenient bagel shop by a long shot. I used to go to this location a couple times a week, but now it's more like a couple times a month. The only reason I go here at all anymore is because it's right across the street and some mornings I'm pressed for time and really craving a bagel with the olive pimento cream cheese that is hard to find anywhere else. My order is so incredibly simple. Bagel with cream cheese. My expectations are that I will receive a bagel with enough cream cheese to cover both sides of my bagel. Very rarely do I get a bagel with enough cream cheese to cover a single side of my bagel. I have complained on numerous occasions. I have been confronted with multiple different excuses but the results are still the same. Thinking that my expectations on the amount of cream cheese I should receive are a little too high, I began ordering extra cream cheese thinking this would get me the results I expect and receive from other bagel shops (i.e. dunkin donuts, manhattan bagel, or the countless deli shops that serve bagels all in the ballston area as well). Nope. It doesn't matter if I order extra cream cheese or regular amount they apparently only know how to give you a pathetic amount of cream cheese. There is NO consistency at this location. Sometimes they will make me a new bagel, others time they give me a small tub of cream cheese to put on myself. I'm now paying over $4 to get a bagel that is far below my expectations, to have to spread cold cream cheese on a warm bagel with warm cream cheese already on it. Have you ever tried spreading cold cream cheese on a warm bagel with warm cream cheese on it? It's impossible. So, this convenient bagel shop is not so convenient for me anymore. I should note that on the occasion that my husband comes with me to get breakfast his breakfast sandwich (the kind with meat, egg and cheese) is always great. BUT, if you're looking for a good bagel with cream cheese I would walk down the street to one of the many other shops in the area that serves bagels with cream cheese just like I will be doing from now on.

I attempted to call ahead and order so I could pick quicker and go. I was placed on hold for ten minutes, finally i ended up just driving to the store. I was then told to wait to order as it was taking the three employees everything they had to make one bagel for the one customer they previously had. I didn’t realize so much science went into making a bagel and that few number of customers could cripple a business’s operation.

Everytime i go into this place the staff is FIGHTING with each other, or swearing loud and talking about their personal problems in front of everyone, always bad faces,like they don't want to work there,especially the tall skinny one,think she's the manager very very bad feelings and emotional stuff going on,very disorganized, if they hate their job so much,quit,,there are other people who need a job and would act appropriate in their workplace. Used to be a guy here who recognized the flag on my cap and thanked me for my service - then they hired a disabled vet and he worked there for maybe a month.. saw him begging outside Safeway a week ago The bagels are okay.. it completely depends on who's making your food and weather that have a minimal amount of pride. I came in yesterday and I must say The lady Dasha had no interest of being there. I walked in and we looked at each other for about 5 sec before she said "I'm ready". I knew from that point she was not making mines. Her lack of energy was so poor she dropped the lady bagel on the floor, no apologies, no care. I usually walk in with smiling and friendly faces.

I work near this bruegger's bagels and I give it a try a couple times a year and it's always so slow to do simple things the service is horrible and the people seem dirty and could care less about anything. they only have one speed...super slow and they don't care if there's 10 people in line they're not going to hurry They seem to be generally confused about everything. Either very high or just don't care to listen to your order.

This location is just okay. I normally love their bagels, but the staff here is not the most friendly or helpful. They tend to run out of bagels very early in the morning, consistently. I've given them quite a few tries but prefer other bagel shops to this one even if I have to go a little further out of my way.

After being in Need of 4 shots of Expresso coffee I have gone back and the Coffee was wonderful and I went back to the Wonderful Young Lady that made my Coffee with a $5.00 Bill and I did thank her for her wonderful kindness and Service and I did not know that they have Salads now and I went today for a wonderful and Special Salad!! For the Same Salad at the Salad Restaurant at the Mall in Troy it was 24 Dollars Because they do charge for the Chicken!! I am on a Special Diet Being a Diabetic and the Salad And the Coffee is Wonderful and Every one there is so Wonderful And Kind. They must have New Workers!! We really enjoyed our lunch at Bruegger’s Bagels. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bagel was very fresh on my Turkey Bagel Sandwich. The Chicken Spaetzle soup was tasty and hearty. My wife enjoyed her Cheese Sandwich and chips. We recommend this shop for a fulfilling quick lunch.

Not all Brugger's franchises are good, but, this is one of the good ones. (The one they used to have in West Des Moines was slightly better.) I visit it when I visit my kids. I was born in Manhattan and also lived in NJ, Bronx, and Brooklyn. The closest I can get where I live now is Panera, but it's not a real bagel. I order bagels by mail from NY, Boston or Toronto. They're not as fresh but at least they're bagels. Too bad Brugger's doesn't ship.

They were not dense and didn't overpower the sandwich, which is what made me a true fan. Also, they had 6 different brews of coffee to choose from! Of course, the best part was the entire crew was friendly and kind to each and every customer I saw them interact with while I ate. Highly recommend!

Failed to file incident reports for injured employees to avoid "getting in trouble". Alot of shortcuts being made to produce product including boiling bagels in soup warmers when kettle is broke down . means the bagels aren't at correct temp to bake. Not following proper slack time for dough meaning its not ready to boil let alone bake but theyre still serving these bagels to customers . Theyve also knowingly and irresponsibly served expired cream cheese to guests .

This place has very good bagels IF you can get them. They never have their bagels in stock (not just one or two flavors, we are talking about over half). This has occurred every time I have been here (I have been here during slow times and “rush” times, most recently on a Tuesday around 8). They never seem to have enough people working, and the few they do have usually have personal conversations going on. It seems their employees never seem to feel any sense of urgency when it comes to helping their customers. Had 3 people walk out in front of me due to the line not moving and no bagel choices. Very sad because their food is good but not worth the wait only to not get what you truly wanted in the first place.

Great service! Stopped by here for brunch. I ordered the BLT bagel sandwich and an iced chia tea. The sandwich was not prepared evenly as all the bacon was placed in the center and the tomato was falling off the side, otherwise it tasted great! The chia tea was also delicious! The location in Lakewood is on my way to take my son to school. We try to stop by 2 to 3 times a week, however at least once a week they are out of what I consider to be staples fora bagel place. They have been out of plain bagels, plain cream cheese, bread, bacon for sandwiches, etc. I am so frustrated with this location I don't know what to do anymore. How can a bagel placebe out of plain bagels? And plain cream cheese? I don't get it! They need new management! Someone who knows how to order!

I really miss the bagels I used to get in NYC. Bruegger's comes VERY close to the taste of a New York bagel. The selection of bagels they make is amazing (20 different types, I think) and if you get there early enough, you'll be able to pick from the freshest of fresh, as all of their bagels are made on the premises. My absolute favorite is the jalapeño cheddar. They have plenty of spreads to choose from, as well as sandwiches, soups, and other goodies. I order a dozen bagels from here at least once every month.

I had been enough of a regular that they recognized me and knew my order. Last time I was there was a few weeks ago. I got a chocolate milk that was sour, was ONE WEEK past the expiration date. I walked up to the open cooler where I had grabbed the bad milk and grabbed another. It was out of date too. There were five or six out of date! Inexcusable! I handed them to an employee who had been too busy playing on their phone in a quiet time to do their job and protect the rep of the restaurant and the health of their (now former) customer. Ultimately I found a milk that that was fresh and i went back and finished my meal. No visit from manager, no apology from kid with phone. Then I remembered I had had a contentious conversation with a manager here years before about the temp of that very cooler not being cold enough. They eventually got that fixed. I am disappointed, I wanted to like the place; it was convenient on the way to work. But it's over. No third chance for this place.

I just have to share a scene I witnessed today at this location. Some friends from out of town were meeting us here for breakfast with their two little boys. The manager (I didn't catch his name but he looked a little like Rick Bayless) went out of his way to make it a special day for the two boys. He gave them free cookies (with parental consent) and even made a special batch of bagels to show them the process -- explaining each step and making it entertaining. I didn't think things like this still happened -- especially at franchised establishments like this one. If you're reading this Mr. Manager, this display was the textbook definition of exemplary customer service -- thank you!

Wow, I was very surprised by the respectful, attentive, and considerate service here, from everyone. I've gotten so used to the dismal treatment in this area from unhappy and angry workers, that the difference was immediately apparent. I thank them for this--it made my morning. This is in stark contrast to their next-door neighbor, where the service is incompetent, rude, and even hostile at times. And that seems to be the norm for most businesses here (residents too, but that's the place).

Brueggers is one of my favorite spots no matter where I am, except this one. I have not had a bad experience with Brueggers until I went to this location. Bagels are insanely low no matter when you show up. Juice is low, cream cheese tubs are low. They run out of cheddar cheese for one of their main breakfast sandwiches. Have even run out of cream cheese options. Each time I order a bagel sandwich from the menu it is different depending on which staff member made it. The staff is a mess. Seem to have high turnover, but hire the same monotone people who look like theyd like to be anywhere else. At any time of the day you can wait 20 min for a bagel & coffee, wether or not there is even a line. You could blame the sloth moving pace of the staff, but I cant help but notice the woman with the black hair up in a bun (assuming its the manager) who I always see standing off somewhere eating, on her phone or just watching guest get frustrated over waiting forever for a bagel with cream cheese, hardly ever coming out from her hiding spot behind the bagel racks to serve customers. Extremly frustrating as I love Brueggers & it is so close to my home. I hate that I have to debate every time if the food is worth the wait & dealing with the staff.

I couldn’t figure out how to do half a star so I had to do one - please be aware I wanted this to be a half star. This place made Dunkin Donuts look like a high class steak house. The bacon egg and a cheese on a everything bagel I was given (which was microwaved) tasted oddly like the French toast sticks I had to eat for school lunch in middle school. I hated those French toast sticks as well, but at least they weren’t microwaved. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to my worst of enemies. Actually I would, because then at least they would have to suffer through the same unrelentless torture that both my body and tastebuds had to experience this morning. The man who served me was a very nice gentleman.
