REVIEWS OF Sherman's Deli & Bakery IN California

Mike Pierce

Wow! Great pastrami. Another person in our party had a Ruben and she thought it was the best she had ever had. Another person tried the brisket and they loved it. We also took a slice of the carrot cake and a deep dish berry cake and both were amazing. We will be going back this week.

Robert Hernden

Best place in town for any time of the day. I enjoy their fresh lox and bagels. They have a fresh bakery section with pastries that are to die for. Great food, great service.

Artemisa Castaneda

The food here was delicious! I loved the pickles as an appetizer. The desserts were amazing!

Tim N

Skip is a great server. Takes care of his customers. Very personable. Food is always good. Had the bbq ribs and they were so tender. The desserts and cookies are awesome. My favorite place for cookies. This one of my go to places when I am in palm springs. Thank you guys.

Richard Brewer

A mainstay for years.....always a great meal and excellent service.

John G

Absolutely amazing deli... had the pastrami on rye. It was delicious. Best pastrami sandwich I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to be back and try more of the amazing food on the menu. Note- Dessert lovers dream here. LOTS of cakes and cookies freshly baked .

Danny Curtis

One of the BEST places to eat in the Coachella Valley. Try and leave room for dessert.

Debbie Manriquez

Love it. Beautiful baked items greet you at the door in the glass case. Huge portions, everything looks and tastes excellent. Friendly staff, causal atmosphere. Good for family's or even a small business meeting. Can't go wrong. Moderately priced. Would recommend.

Rosita Lopez

WOW!!!!! And WOW! A true New York style deli. The food is AMAZING, delicious and will not disappoint. this is not crazy fancy fair, it is honest good wholesome great food. They have kosher food here. The staff are friendly and helpful. The deserts are so shockly amazing, portion sizes and variations and how incredibly delicious they are ( including sugar free!) That people take pictures of the deserts. Highly recommend coming here

Elizabeth Hastings

A lot of people love this place but I'm still not very sold on it.

Loretta S Ian

Great Food. Fun place. Real Deli. My daughter loves different kinds of dessert here. We have to share the Ruben Sandwich. Its just huge! Don't be shy if something is out of place or missing- they are great here and happy to make it better or fix it.

Dallas Jonesvon

Delicious food! Excellent service!

Sri Roe

A very pleasant surprise while out for the day in Palm Springs. Great selection of food, delicious lunch sandwiches, very friendly service! Bakery goods to go, very delicious sweets! A nice place to dine at or stop by for bakery goods. Very, very busy but fast and organized, the staff is nice and efficient, a great experience.

David S Hogan

I only popped by for baked goods, but the place was packed, and the vibe is in the NYC deli style, and quite fantastic. Counter service was friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend popping in and look up the history of the place and the founder, Sherman Harris, as his story is quite interesting.

Tara Scott

Great service, generous portions. Had the Knish and a Knockwurst Reuben for dinner and went back for corned beef hash for breakfast. Save room for dessert! Tried the El Jacinto that's big enough to share with a couple friends!

Rick Snodgrass

The food and the service is great. I'm only giving them 3 stars because of their baked goods. They look wonderful but seem mass-produced and some are not that great. Be especially careful when buying their cookies. Their cookies leave a lot to be desired. I advise buying one and tasting it first.

Mark Wilkins

It's my image of a non-kosher deli. The portions are huge and the quality is first rate. My favorite place for lunch in PS. Try to save room for desert. No skimping there either.

Heidi Smith

Very nice for lunch...great cabbage soup...would like to try for dinner...til then 4 Stars

Janette Marsh

Super service great food and desserts to die for

hj reynolds

Amazing place! Best Reuben sandwich ever. The corned beef melted in my mouth! Excellent server as well. The chocolate on the eclair was heavenly! I would have liked a small bowl of that just to eat by itself!

David Ferry

Great service. A real deli; matzo ball soup is so good.

Cory Molina

We have been coming to this place for about 10+ years. I love it. The staff is great. The food is fantastic. Pricey, but good. I had the albacore tuna sandwich and it was real good. I would have liked more potato salad than the little jello shooter plastic cup I received. Paying almost $15.00 I would like a lil more. The lemon dome cake, so good. This is a must each time we visit. A must visit if you are planning a trip to Palm Springs. A 10+ for food, wait staff, and experience.

Vicki Henry

Great food, nice staff and clean.

Paul Rico

Sherman’s delivered a hot meal with great service. Upon arrival the staff was very attentive and kind even with the amount of people in the restaurant. (It was getting busy) the bussers immediately asked if we needed anything to drink and made sure both got our coffee and orange juice quickly. (I love when restaurants do this so you don’t feel like you’re waiting a long time if your server is busy) We ordered the Veggie and Denver Omelet with a side order of a short stack. (Pictured)Both of these came with delicious potatoes and toast. Both of the meals were very large and came out pipping hot! The staff made sure there was coffee in my cup there entire time and when someone needed a break they also made sure someone else was taking care of us. I highly recommend going here for breakfast. Thanks Sherman’s!

Sharon Oakes

New York style deli. It's an experience! Delicious food, too. Huge desserts. Huge salads, sandwiches thick with pastrami, or whatever.

Ian Clampitt

Bit of a wait, but totally worth it! Food is always great, especially the latkes!

Rick Leider

Excellent food. Best carrot cake ever. They even have excellwnt sugar free desserts. You cant taste the difference

Christopher Barlow

Be aware, the special sandwich is a monster!! And delicious. Every time I'm in Palm Springs I go here for brunch, and I have yet to have a bad meal.

y. henry huang

Good food! Had Pastrami and beef tongue double decker and brisket sandwich.

Pearl Ford

I love the ambiance and very cozy surroundings but most of all I really love the breads here super delicious and with their helpful staff makes people back again and again. Great place so far and worth to have five star rate.

Car Reg

Just got back from Palm Springs and made my annual pilgrimage to Sherman's. What a fantastic place. The food is amazing, the selection is fantastic, the dessert counter is always mouth watering, and the service is great. Marti is a treasure! Very hard to find a server like this anywhere, nonetheless such excellent fare. It's a guaranteed hit with me every time. I highly recommend a delightful trip to Sherman's on your next vacay.

Richard

Sherman's is my go to deli when in Palm Springs the food is always consistantly good. The desserts are fresh and good tasting. Love the patio seating. There can be a bit of a wait. However well worth it.

Thomas Clemmer

Great service, delicious food. Very clean, and a very deep selection of breakfast options, sandwiches and desserts. The smoked salmon just melted in your mouth along with a fresh tasty bagel. The eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection. The sticky bun was massive and could serve four, and is as fresh and delicious as it looks without being overly sweet.

Dilana Davis

Great locations awesome food great proportions too diffinitely the place to visit if you from out of town

Heather Van Voorhis

This is a must go! It is friendly, clean and the food is the star attraction. Old school food that hits the ball outtake the park. Highly recommend the pastrami on rye. Do not skip the desserts. Had a slice of coconut cake you would swear your grandma baked. Eat inside or out, outside allows your dog to be be included in the dining. Please not at the table though. The servers are friendly and knowledgable of the menu.

Sv Pitchford

My Uncle Duke wants to go 2 places when I visit Palm Springs. Sherman's is one of them! With kosher-style options, large portions and great prices, Sherman's can't be beat.

martin lozano

Excellent service and excellent food. French dip was delicious!!!!! We will be back for more

Mark York

Had the new Yorker, which was fine unless you are looking for a hearty breakfast. Not a lot of food, and latkas were slightly burnt

Michael Ferguson

My go to for authentic New York deli sandwiches. Great desserts

m quinlan

Great old school East coast deli...and bakery. Great lunch spot in downtown Palm Springs a gotta go!

Yul Rathbone

Good portions and was totally worth the price. Delicious and their customer service was great. Employees were friendly and kind.

Herman Munster

I just love the quality and love they obviously put into their food. For immediate bakery service they have ready made pastries, at ALL types of grade and prices, never short of delicious. Service is fast and friendly, with an emphasis on cleanliness. The decor is classy and nostalgic of old Palm Springs. Prices are better than fast food. You simply can not beat the bang for your buck here. Pet friendly! They have an out door patio for your ordering and they have doggy bowls too! I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Palm Springs

Jax Luger

One of the last authentic kosher deli's still that hasn't changed their menus due modernization. This place is awesome and would drive back to Palm Springs just to eat here. Was looking for something to eat after walking the main drag in search of something. Most places were closed or were bars and we were looking for actual food. After driving around we saw this place and we were incredibly surprised. Food is awesome and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about Sherman's Deli!!

Steven Hidalgo

Sherman's is awesome and has delicious food. The French Dip was like no other. My daughter had the Reuben sandwich and said it was very good. Our server was in good spirits which always leaves a positive thought for that business. Lastly pancakes were ordered w/bacon and it delicious as well.

Shawn Pidcock

This place has lots of sandwiches to choose from. They also have salads and burgers and soups. The sandwich was so big I took half of it home. They start your meal with a relish tray of pickles and sauerkraut which were delicious. I was too full but I am planning on coming back for desert as they have a couple of windows of tasry treats to choose from. I definitely recommend this place

Keith Pixton

Great food. Friendly service. Dog friendly. Nice outdoor seating. Weird menu but you can easily find conventional dishes. Very popular place.

Garrett Greer

This place was amazing. Really cool history (apparently very popular with movie stars), and a very nice 50’s era atmosphere. The waitress was funny and gave us some great suggestions of things to do in the area. They brought out pickles as an appetizer (which were excellent) and everyone in our group thought it was the best sandwich ever. We had worked up an appetite hiking nearby and the portions are HUGE so it was perfect. I would recommend getting a soup and half sandwich and the carrot cake. Unfortunately I don’t live in the area but if I did I would go all the time.

Gary Kreger

Best deli in the desert. Great corned beef and potato salad.

Arvin Manahan

Great place for breakfast or lunch in downtown Palm Springs. It's been there for a long time and when you get the food you can see why. Great deserts by the way. Don't leave without getting a cream puff.

Catherine Page

Always perfect! The food is fantastic...fresh & consistently grand. The service is with a smile & always fun. ❤

Laverne Roberts

Where to begin with Sherman's Deli!! If you are looking for a homie New York Deli-esque eatery in the middle of Palm Springs, this is your place. My cousin and I shared between the turkey club sandwich and hot pastrami sandwich with a side of cottage fries, and we were pleasantly full. The deli mustard provided an excellent touch to a scrumptious meal. For dessert we got the chocolate cake warmed up with ice cream. I highly recommend anyone who is staying/residing in the area to stop by for a homie meal. Most importantly, I would like to thank Marie for the best service I have had at ANY restaurant. She was attentive, witty, hilarious, and provided excellent service. I wish I could put her in my pocket and take her home with me. Can't wait to make another visit in the near future.

mark weinberger

I love this place. So much to choose from. Never get the same thing twice. Gotta try it all

albert perez

I heart great things about this place from a lot of people. I believe them, the service is great, the atmosphere is friendly and the food smells very good. I probably just had a dry batch of pastrami. Everything else is great, but I was disappointed to know that the microwave pastrami packs from Costco we're better than the sandwich I had.

David South

Great food, fair price, interesting atmosphere-you will enjoy it.

Caren Oldfield

Great place that family and I are happy to have discovered today. $$ but worth it for the fresh baked breads & generous meat fillings on sammys. The desserts are to die for and are, again, generous portions. Free deli pickles while waiting for our lunch. Wait staff were courteous and food came quickly. It's best to go during more off the traditional times. We arrived about 11:00 for lunch (Sunday) and were seated immediately but by 11:15 there was a line waiting. It is just a block from the Regal Edwards Cinemas so it's a good place to eat before the movie and head to afterwards for cake, pie, cookies, or pastry to-go.

Marcus Brown

Sherman's is probably the best run restaurant I've ever visited. The service was great, I was seated quickly, and my corned beef hash was definitely something to write home about. The bakery was excellent too, I'm not a dessert person but the confections looked too good to pass up. I left very happy.

Paul Stabin

A well established and popular Palm Springs hangout and deservedly so. We had a combination lox and whitefish platter, preceded by a small order of French toast -don't judge-and enjoyed both the food and service. We just made it in before a hungry horde descended. Sherman's is large, but there is parking along the side. They have a great dessert selection, but we were too full, which is rare, to sample what looked very tempting. So why not 4 or even 5 stars? For Palm Springs deli food, 4 stars would be fair. Compared to the best delis in NY that I grew up with, three stars is accurate. 3.5 is the real number, but the rating system forces me to be conservative. Bottom line : recommended.

Tom Windeknecht

Excellent food and service! My wife and I enjoyed breakfast and chatted with our server, Marti. She was so nice! We will definitely be back! Oh, did I mention the pastrami?

Douglas J Hoffmann

Always a gastronomicly sensational experience at Sherman's Deli, even the regular sized Sherman's Reuben sandwich and cottage fries is like 2 sandwiches anywhere else! Among the ABSOLUTE BEST sandwiches to eat ANYWHERE - Come Hungry & ENJOY!

Jeanne Jennings

A favorite is their soups. And if I just want broth they will do that too. Whenever I am feeling a little bit under the weather a bowl of soup every 6 hours is my medicine. Desserts are fresh and enormous. My family would have never known 1 cream puff to be enough for the whole family.

Daniel Call

Excellent selection of sandwiches and entrees. I had the New York Style hot pastrami and it was excellent. They have 2 locations which have the same menu so you can get your favorite at either location

charlotte bergkamp

Went there with my Uncle for lunch Oct.2018, I'm craving the potato salad. <3

J Ponik

Excellent Jewish Deli with wonderful food but also quite expensive/over-priced. Superb desserts as well but even more expensive than the meals. Service is good but requires patience and time as there is often a line out the door and not enough servers to handle the high volume of customers.

Gina Marie

Sherman's never fails to deliver!! Yum

Linda Jones

Omg.... the food is wonderful! Service just as good.

Tony Alteparmakian

Greta food here. If you're in the area you need to stop in. Everything is fresh and the sandwich was simple but tasty. I also had the Key Lime Pie and would definitely get it again.

Ken Rybock

Always like Sherman's. Prices are creeping up however. Beer selection is poor. Service and food menu outstanding.

Sheila Forgerson

Busy place, ketchup bottle and mustard bottles were nasty dirty. Waiter brought me my food and never came back to see how things were. I had to flag down a bus boy to get a Togo container. Finally 10 minutes later my waiter showed up. I was not impressed...

Hope Keesal

Best deli! So many great food options and the dessert counter is spectacular. I wont go to Palm Springs unless I can go to Sherman's!

Brittany Gaines

We came in for a small lunch and we were seated quickly which is a plus! Busy atmosphere. Our server was friendly. Group of 4 - we ordered the Ruben Stacker, bowl of chili, and the large homemade chicken soup with matzo ball. The Ruben Staker was the favorite and had lots of meat. Bigger than you imagine. The chili was lukewarm, the cheese looked at one point melted then became hard on top and wouldn’t melt within the chili. The chicken soup lacked flavor. Would recommend sandwiches not soup/chili.

Teresa Wickstrom

Delicious menu choices, excellent staff, enjoyable atmosphere.

Ryan Poley

Was in town for a mini vacation with the family and decided to stop in for lunch. Great food! Service was good too. Kind of cramped inside because it was busy but felt cozy.

Bill Mitchell

Always great food. The pastry case is a sight to behold.

Warren Pfeiffer

Most excellent desserts! I wanted a slice of everything in there, but had to choose just one,,,, that was most difficult.

Annette Bicer

The best brisket of beef and matzo ball soup in town.

George Rockel

Great food, good service. The staff is friendly and helpful. Generous portions. Just a good value all around.

Mark Sension

The only problem with Sherman's is everyone wants to eat here. The lines can be frustrating, but their food is arguably worth the wait. My trick is to skip the lines by going between popular meal times. If you crave classic deli dishes like stuffed cabbage, borscht, and amazing sandwiches of any type, you can't go wrong. The menus is extensive!

Pat Hamilton

The best deli. Excellent food and drinks. Large portions. Wonderful customer service.

Mike Paisano

Gigantic meat filled deli sandwiches. Great atmosphere, terrific staff. Amazing desserts.

Cristina Eng

Our all-time favorite place to eat on our visit to Palm Springs! The food, just simply amazing! The staff made us feel so welcomed! My glass NEVER got more than a third way empty before I was getting a refill! Desserts are amazing! I recommend trying 1 over EVERYTHING! Love this place!!

Omar Abdallah

This place is amazing! A bit pricey but great. The Reuben was fantastic- the sweet & sour cabbage soup was great. The service was awesome(Yessica). The best part was the dessert- chocolate pie. It was the best I've ever had and I always get dessert.

cowboy the pug

Great place! Wonderful food and the "cakes" will make you stop to just look!

Slim Jim

As far as delis go, it was okay. Prices kind of high for the portion sizes. The cabbage soup was interesting and the mango cheesecake was tasty. Service was great.

Hank Groff

Great food and the sandwiches are massive! The pistachio cake was awesome. And the view outside is amazing.

Audrey Cohen

Not a real deli. More a sandwich shop. Ordered a strawberry shortcake. Cake was stale not sure what they used for whipped cream something fake. Same for the canolli. Ordered lox platter and the combo whitefish and lox platters. The lox and white fish was fresh and yummy But the bagels were stale. Spent over 85.00. I will never go back.

David Eccleston

Seated promptly... great deli sandwiches... sensible prices. A must when in Palm Springs

Don McCubbin

Wonderful experience. Great food and service. Huge servings. Parking lot adjacent to deli. We'll be back.

Cecily Marrable

The Turkey Club sandwich was great. The service was fantastic.

Lucas Auriemo

was in town for a conference and ate that every night I was here because of how much I enjoyed the food and ambience. Very friendly staff in a pleasant atmosphere.

Patrick Fasca

Had the Borscht and herring. Very good!

Norbert Csaszar

Great service and delicious food. A vast selection of all types of deli nourishment.

Mick MacDonald

Once you've sampled the Corned Beef on Rye sandwich, or the traditional Pastrami, as well as any of the In-house baked sweet rolls, pies, and cakes, you will forever think Palm Springs and Sherman's--one of my favorite casual dining restaurants in the world! The service is always right on time, provided by a staff that has been there for decades. Unlike many of the delicattessins in LA ir NYC, Sherman's is spotlessly clean from the floors to the silverware. Their attention to detail has remained consistent for more than 40 years. Think Sherman's whenever you think food...something for everybody! (I have not had a bad meal there, for breakfast, lunch or dinner-ever!

Dee Worrall

Had take out for lunch. The Turkey sandwich was delicious!. It's more expensive than expected ($15 for lunch special) but you get tons of food. Half a huge sandwich, full size salad and your choice of side.

Troy Voeltz M.D.

Excellent service! The Pastrami was one of the best I've had. The cakes are amazing! The carrot cake doesn't have nuts in the cake itself (only crushed on the outside), which is how I prefer it so bonus points there.

Patrick Moltrup

Excellent establishment. Great range of choices for every meal. The dessert case is always filled with an endless array of treats. The staff is prompt, friendly and overall very attentive. I love the meatloaf, and all their sandwich choices are massive. Worth your time!

Karen Lilley

Loved it! First time and I definitely will be back.

4 My PALz

Fabulous fun diner. Awesome desserts! And, they back The Blue

Carol KASPER

Wonderful food. Huge sandwiches that you can share. Friendly competent staff. Great bakery.

Judy Clavin

A MUST - True Jewish deli, huge plates of whatever one orders, wonderful services, and gigantic eye-opener desserts! Definitely would return when in Palm Springs.

Vic Star

Best roast beef sandwich I've every had at any deli ever!

Thai H

Amazing restaurant! It's near the downtown area of Palm Springs. I went here around 6 PM on a Saturday night with a friend and even though it was super busy, the seating area is great. We were seated within 3 minutes of waiting. I wish I can say more about the services of this restaurant. My friend ordered the French Dip and I ordered the Pastrami. Within 5 minutes, the food was placed on our table. Remember this is a busy Saturday night and we got seated within 3 minutes and our food within 5 minutes. The sandwiches was amazing!! My friend and I split our sandwiches so we can each taste how the other is like. The French Dip was just so tender and melts in your mouth. The Au Jus was just perfectly seasoned. The Pastrami was well packed and delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Palm Springs or hungry for a sandwich. It's worth the price for what you get.

Jackie Skelly

Everyone raves about this place for sandwiches and pastrami. We went on a Thursday and it wasn't packed and were seated quickly. Our waitress was very nice, attentive, knowledgeable, and had great recommendations. I ordered the pastrami and my fiance ordered corned beef, I think. The pastrami was lukewarm at best, very fatty, and the bread was not toasted or anything so the texture was very mushy. I was also surprised that the meat itself lacked flavor and spice. Fiance had similar opinions about his sandwich. I would much prefer a Quiznos sub to this. But the deserts were great! Our bill was over $50 for 2 sandwiches and 2 desserts. Pricey in my opinion for the quality.

Patrick Kin

Hands-down the BEST breakfast I have had since I lived in Paris many years ago. Ample choices, all well prepared. It's a busy place, as one may expect, but the service was phenomenal. Yessica was well- versed on menu favorites and took very good care of us & I can't say enough about Eberto, our busser, whom went out of his way to ensure our table wasn't missing anything at all. I just can't say enough good things about this dynamic duo! I would love to keep this place secret but, GO TO SHERMANS. You will love it...

Myranda Wilson

This restaurant has the best service I've ever experienced. The salad I ate was good. The cake I ordered was very dry and had little taste. I tried the pistachio cake. I saw everyone ordering cake, so naturally, I wanted to try. I would come again for the service and try the sandwiches, they looked very good.

Debi Price

Very good food. Serve always excellent.

Kent Wa

Went there for lunch and has a good Bakery with big dessert.

Isaac Lopez

Food was awesome but Really dont waste your time with anything but their Ruben is to die for. And great service too

Hollis Axelrod

A favorite stop for lunch! We love the chopped liver apptizer. I ordered chicken salad & it was delicious. Corned beef is also a must. Be prepared to tale home many containers. Vary large portions

Michael Friedberg

Always great. If a wait, always worth waiting. Be sure to leave room for a wonderful dessert!

Chris Francis

A must visit in Palm Springs. The food is fresh and fast, the portions generous, and the menu huge. Eaten lunch here twice, pastrami on rye the first time, bagel with lox the second. Both were excellent. Sherman's isn't ritzy, it isn't pretentious, you don't need to be a local or a regular. It's just a fantastic deli/diner and if that's what you are looking for you're going to be very pleased.

Jacqueline Ioli, PhD, RN

Great food, excellent service and gorgeous views for the mountains from outside seating. At a recent conference, I deferred on the hotel food and walked here and it was so worth it. First food was good and prices beat the hotel by a mile, second service fast (even take out) third, when I had time to sit, the views were spectacular. This is a casual place. TIP: portions are huge, plan to take something back for a snack or light meal later.

Charles Wilcox

very popular deli. sometimes you have to wait to get seated outside. good food and generous portions.

Susan Palmer

Hustle and bustle. Food great. People friendly.

Frank Gurrola

Great food and desserts, a little pricey

Joseph Ramirez

Had one of the best turkey and pastrami sandwiches on rye. The desserts are amazing also!

Rob

It's the go-to Palm Springs Jewish deli. It feels like an old-school '50s LA spot. Big, hearty breakfasts, the kind of waitresses you expect, and decent bagels. It's not fabulous, but it's good. Good for kids too.

Robin McGahee

Excellent customer service was provided during the entire visit, the food was excellent, our server provided great recommendations, the meal portions were very generous -- we could hardly wait to eat the leftovers -- and we bought a variety of desserts on the way out the door to serve to dinner guests later that evening. This is a great place to start the day and end the day!

Johanna

Great food! Big portions! Busy but with good ambiance...

Will M

After seeing all the great reviews my girlfriend and I stopped in here for a quick to-go order. We got two chicken salad sandwiches, a side of veggies, and a Greek salad with chicken. When we got home and ate we noticed that ALL of the food was terribly bland, it had no flavor at all. The chicken on the salad had no seasoning, nor did the veggies, and the chicken salad sandwiches tasted like plain shredded chicken with a dab of mayo. Needless to say we were pretty disappointed, especially because we paid about $60 for the two sandwiches, a side of veggies and a salad. The menu claimed to have really tasty sandwiches, but I assure you ours were not. The staff was very friendly though.

Deirdre Cooney

Food was excellent, service was magnificent. I thoroughly enjoyed this place. They have a wide extensive menu and serve breakfast all day. Their pies are very tasty as well.

Stephen DuPar

Nice mix of locals & tourists. Friendly staff. Menu has pretty much all the deli/restaurant favorites at decent prices. They also support the local high school.

Payton Tyrell

Great place for breakfast lunch or dinner with plenty of options to choose from. Seems kinda pricey at first sight with $15 for a cob salad, but bring your appetite cause the portions are ridiculous so it's well worth it after all. The service is good too, they're friendly and on their game.

Glen Coulter

The pastrami on rye is 100% all it is talked up to be! The sandwich was huge and well worth the price after just the first bite. The homemade desserts rock your world and the non-homemade desserts were chosen carefully to finish a completed meal and menu. Lastly, for ordering to go, the service we received was friendly, knowledgeable, quick and efficient.

Sean

Hot Pastrami with Swiss, with substitution of Rye to a Kaiser Roll. Absolutely phenomenal. It was on the pricey side, coming out at almost $20 per this sandwich (fries were extra instead of the coleslaw/potato salad), but you only live once.

Rob Roy

Classic deli with a long history in Palm Springs. You'll love the extensive menu and you won't believe the size of the sandwiches and salads. You better come hungry! Super nice staff and just wait till you see the incredible dessert selection. The cake are almost as tall as Mt. San Jacinto. Mmm mmm

Rob Silvagni

The wait staff was pleasant and the food was good. I liked that I could get a whole wheat bagel in leui of toast for no extra charge. But when it came time to pay the check, our waitress must have left. We had to flag down a different waiter to get our check.

Carol Daily

It was fun to go to a classic, retro Delicatessen and bakery. Whatever you order, be prepared to take it home or share. We used to live in Los Angeles 40 years ago, and having lived in Arizona for the balance of the time it was fun to go to a kosher deli We shared A hot pastrami sandwich with Swiss cheese on rye, 3 big dill pickle slices, potato salad and coleslaw. My husband enjoyed a bloody Mary and I loved having an old fashioned rootbeer float. Its a keeper!!

Julie Cain

Omg this place is delish! I had some egg/avocado and ground beef breakfast item and it was FANTASTIC! Good coffee and great service too

Tom Hornik

Large portions, great service and prices. Outstanding sandwiches.

Frank Rumoro

Historic deli. Good food. Big menu. Not cheap but when carving motza ball soup and a cornbeef sandwich, this is the place.

Jim Salsano

We go to Sherman's once every year or two. We love their potato pancakes. Their prices are ridiculously high for a deli. We had 2 open faced turkey sandwiches today, and upgraded the mashed potatoes to the potato pancakes, which cost $5.50 for the two of us to get one potato pancake each. So, the total with tax was over $42 before tip. The food is good, probably a little better than Manhattan in the Desert, but not much, and we always end up with an extra meal each from our leftovers at Manhattan. On the plus side, our waitress was great, attentive yet not bothersome, and was very sweet. Maybe, if we go back in 2 years, or sooner if we win the lottery, she might still be there.

Austin Tittle

This place was recommended to me and I'm glad we tried it. think nice dinner meets deli. I had the brisket sandwich and it was delicious. 10 ish to 20 ish bucks per person depending on what you get. Also the wait staff was also on point. Thank you guy

Mtn Runner

We love driving to Palmsprings just to go eat at Shermans!

Kathy C

I come here every time I'm in town. Probably my all time favorite deli in the world. The service and staff are amazing and the food is equal. It doesn't matter what you order your love it and don't forget to save room for dessert, they're to die for. You can browse them at the front counter before being seated. Or forget your meal and just come for Dessert.

Sabrina Alonso Carrasco

As always it was excellent! Manual was amazing and even surprised my daughter with a birthday treat :)

Christopher Lee

Great Jewish delicatessen. Had the french dip. The brisket was tender. And, the potato salad was delicious also

Jesse Schmitt

I am a man with an appetite. And these sandwiches defeated me handily. I know plenty of places describe things as "the size of your head!" In this case, it's appropriate. There were probably 3 solid inches of sliced meat on my corned beef + turkey sandwich. Man does this deli know how to make a good meal. The fries were crisp, even the pickles were homemade and amazing! My wife and I are going to make a tradition out of going to this place for dinner then going to the nearby movie theater for date night.

Don't let the three stars fool you! The food here is GREAT!!! So good in fact this place is always packed thus the three stars. Getting a table is tough. This place is busy and loud. Sometimes you have to wait a bit to be served. The price you pay for truly great deli food!

Love this Jewish Deli. Two locations. Bakery awesome!!!! Oasis Salad we always order, dates, grilled chicken, feta, avocado, corn, cornbread croutons, citrus dressing. Good value...Pastrami sandwiches good flavor but small compared to most oversized deli sandwiches...great pickles served to each table. Fun, fun, fun place!!!!

THE place to eat in Palm Springs. The food is excellent, the portions well past generous and the service is friendly. It's a city landmark that you will be bringing your kids to just like my mom did, her mom did and I am doing. See you there, John.

Good prices delicious food. Out of this world pastries, cakes, pies, etc. Truly the best treat in Palm Springs. You won't regret it!

Best corned beef and pastrami every time. I always order au jus for dipping my corned beef sandwich. Huge menu, large portions, priced fairly, great service and dog friendly on the patio. The bakery items are plentiful and delicious. Water mist-ers on the patio help keep down the heat of summer. At high season (Nov-April) in PS you'll have a bit of a wait for a table but it's well worth the wait.

Does Sherman's Deli really need my review? They are an A-list, must eat there deli and breakfast place in Palm Springs? The food is so good that I ate most of mine before remembering to take photos. Portions ate large and delicious!

A step back in time, but excellent food and service. Recommend the chocolate cake 5 layers. It was moist and very rich . Also the homemade pickles very soo good. I would give this restaurant a 10. It was a fun place and great for families.

Best breakfast! The lox platter was scrumptious. Their mimosas we're excellent too. Outdoor seating is always a bonus.

This is such a cool and tasty place to dine. Little pricey though. $15+ for a large sandwich is just too expensive.

Came for brunch. Very friendly, unintrusive staff. Great food options, tasty food. Nice bustling but gentle atmosphere.

Wife and I were staying in Palm Springs for a week, and happened on Sherman's about 3 days in. What can I say? FANTASTIC! We ate there two more times before returning home. Great food, great deserts, nice atmosphere, esp outside. nice people and reasonable prices. What more could I ask than to be closer to it.

Sherman's Delicatessen serves up delicious deli sandwiches, salads, and dinner platters. The portion sizes are large, so be prepared to take home leftovers! I had a tossed chopped Cobb salad that was extremely yummy. And the bakery pies and cakes are gorgeous - need to make a special trip to enjoy those! Put Sherman's on your list!

This is a deli it has more gorgeous desserts then you can imagine. The menu is immense. Everything I've had from there it was delicious. So did I mention their deserts are gorgeous?

This deli has been around for awhile. It seems like a place the locals know well. The bakery with all the delectable baked goods are heaven. I've never seem such a giant cream puff before. I tried the New York style pastrami sandwich. WOW it was good. It's all about satisfying cravings when I have options. My sandwich came with creamy cole slaw that went really well with the pastrami. I have to come back to try other menu items for sure.

Classic menu, great service, and always a homey, welcoming atmosphere without being campy. Decent coffee. Easy to find seats. Be prepared for delicious grease and large portions!

Always a must when I come out here! Unfortunately, we don't have the traditional Jewish delis in Florida anymore. I always do a corned beef hash test when I am out here and this time Shermans one for the best crispy corned beef. Hash
