You will be able to see the opinions of real people who consumed the products of La Brea Bakery Cafe (Bakery) in California.
At this moment this firm receives a score of 4.3 stars out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 605 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings is really good, and it's based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the evaluation is quite reliable. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they are pleased, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Bakery is included in the category of Sandwich shop.
I have to say the best true bran muffin I’ve ever had is from this company at this location. A little pricy for a muffin but well worth it. This last visit there was only one left and it was really fresh. Unfortunately for the downtown Disney location last I was there I got to and they were dry and stale. I realized this too late when I was to far to complain to the store manager. Anyway I’d get here really early to get some bran muffins they go fast and they only bake so many per day.
Absolutely breathtaking food and service! The venue is clean and we were greeted quickly. This place is where you order and they give you a number to take back to a table. You seat yourself. The smells lure you into a raging hunger and the displays are very appetizing. The food was delicious and flavorful! There was a plethora of food options. They also sell adult libations to moisten your palette as you shovel the food into your mouth. I definitely recommend this place!
Amazing bread, great sandwiches and environment. Can valet park in the back, have cafe validate ticket
No options if you're vegan, except plain bread, of course. Bread is excellent.
It's been about a year since my last visit here and I'm hoping that today's experience is not the new norm. I went with a friend for a late lunch (2:30pm) at the bar. Everyone in the place already had their food and most were about to pay their tabs and leave. We ordered right away and then waited 40 minutes for a salad and a pizza. Then we had to ask for napkins and silverware. The staff seemed to wonder around with no urgency or concern. The food was as I remembered it--delicious--but the wait and overall poor service made for a disappointing experience. I was also disappointed to see only a fraction of the baked goods usually available from the bakery. Not sure I would rush back
First time here and the server was quite through explaining how the place is. Coffee was delicious as well as 6he berry desert. I will try breakfast one day as well as buy some of your delicious lookibg bread. Thank you ___/\___
Usually take out but I ordered to eat there today. Last time the staff brought me the wrong food, and today I canceled because the staff didn't bring me the bread I ordered. It took a long time to cancel, so I just brought the bread that didn't warm up.
I’ve been driving by this place for a year, wanting to go. Finally had the opportunity to drive into LA (from 45 miles East) just to try the La Brea Bakery. I’m so glad I did....Everything from the service, food, staff, and management was absolutely wonderful!!! I would have given it 10 stars if possible! Definitely worth an hour drive! Finally found a place in LA where I can drink coffee while I enjoy people watching. Definitely coming back next month!
Amazing place. Food is to die for and service is always friendly and with a smile. Can't wait to visit again. The ginger scone is so tasty.

As the history said one of the best bakeries in the world
Good collection of breads n bake goods
I Always get a great meal here when I'm in town. Extremely friendly staff and fresh food. Clean and comfortable breakfast/lunch location. If you are driving, they even have a parking area in the rear of the building.
Great food with quality ingredients. Looking forward to coming back with my friends. Prices that won't shock you.
Absolutely breathtaking food and service! The venue is clean and we were greeted quickly.
Today was our first time coming here . “Lonna “ was very nice to us , and assisted us on what food to buy . Thank you so much
LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
A solid option for breakfast or brunch. The space is pleasant, the staff is very nice, the food is fresh and usually comes fast. They have a couple of vegan options (wait for it... yes they will make you avocado on toast
Great elegant place for coffee and breakfast
Great food! Incredible pancakes with great flavor and very filling. My girlfriend got the eggs Benedict which was also quite good. I would highly recommend.
The rare roast beef i ordered was medium to well done, the roll soft (said crusty on the menu), horseradish you could not taste and the salad out of balance ingredient-wise with a bland dressing. Pretty much a lousy food experience in an inviting atmosphere. I was there a bit after 1 PM on a Thursday, only 25% full. (a clue I sadly chose to ignore)
Great place for a bite in Disneyland! Good menu options and friendly staff. Avoid the high cost of the regular Disneyland restaurants and get your food here!
Very tasty food. An extensive variety of dishes is on the menu. Baked goods, quiche and granola are outstanding. Some street parking. Valet parking in the rear.
I love this place when we are in town. Great pastries and the brunch option is really good
Outstanding hamburger, prices tolerable, service average
Great food with so much variety. We ordered 2 omelette that's perfectly cooked, seared tuna salad with multiple grains and veggie and banana pacan toast. It's the Go-to place for the locals. Average price per dish $10-$12.
The Best Latte I’ve ever tasted period (it has this woodsy finish) much better then Alfred and as good as Blue Bottle (I think add dark chocolate beans to their roast). Try the large Latte with Half & Half & Extra Shot
Great breakfast. Kind of pricey but food is good
I've never had a bad meal there. Anything with their bread is out of this world. Always great service and usually pretty quick.
Lovely place to have breakfast.
Cafeteria style bakery and restaurant. Not exactly the best setup and I remember this better at the location near Disneyland.
As a long time fan of La Brea Bakery I was surprised by my most recent visit. First, I'm not sure I like the new "order at the counter, then sit down" system. But I definitely was disappointed by the German Apple pancake... it wasn't terrible, it was just unexceptional. But I'll give them another chance, see if an old favorite like the BELT Sandwich is still what it used to be.
The short rib hash and eggs was amazing.
Delicious pastries and friendly staff
The best breakfast in West Hollywood
Absolutely loved the place. The service had a very homely feeling and the food was great. I had the la brea hamburger and hibiscus lemonade for an early lunch a at 12 o'clock lasted me the entire day till dinner at 20:30. That's quality sustinance if it can get you throuh the day! I wish the staff amd owners all the best.
Eggs Benedict has a great portion size! Not a long wait either. Good brunch experience.
I can't speak for everything on the menu but the roast beef sandwich that I had seemed like something you would make for yourself at home from leftovers and not in a good way, the bread didn't seem fresh and all I tasted was strangely stale bread and roast beef the horseradish was tasteless (I asked for more I still didn't taste anything) and the grease from the cheese and roast beef overpowered the arugula. For the reputation of LA Brea bakery and the price I paid for this meal this was an embarrassment, I might buy a dessert from this place but I don't think I will ever eat a meal here again.
Best kalamata olive bread in the world!!
Hey good breakfast and lunch venue that has outstanding bread, very good soup and an interesting selection of sandwiches. They also have an interesting array of baked goods and sweets that are above average. They close early, so check the hours before you go
There's a small restaurant where you can order food, and there's a bakery where you can buy loaves of freshly baked bread and some pastries. The service is very friendly.
Bright and spacious inside. Also, outside tables. I had french toast with peacan cream. Yummy! It looked great and tasted great! The staffs were nice. I'd like to go back to try other yummy sweets and sandwiches next time.
Good atmosphere. Less seasoning than most places I've been to. But that could be just the dish I had (egg benedict).
Delicious and calm place. I will come again. Avocado toast is delicious. Salads are yummy too.
Good food lots of parking. The chef was really cool. They have parking in the back. I enjoy it very much. To be honest I only had a burger but everything else looked good.
I was here many times @ La Brea Bakery . This is one of my favorite place to have a breakfast stop shop. Lemon Pound and Pumpkin Chocolate Pound Cake were some of my take outs favorites. I buy 6 each of them before I leave. I had Triple Deck Club with fries and Cobb Salad with a cup of Cappuccino. It was a great breakfast for me after all. Good quality of food and a waking coffee. I love it here!!! The place was nice and clean. A wide selection of pastries and of good customer service.
Simply an amazing bakery with friendly, accommodating service. Great food, delicious break. Pancakes are out of this world. So is the rest of the menu. Delicious chicken sausages. Nice vibe too as you can sit at the counter and look at the wood oven -- totally chill and relaxed.
Everything is freshly prepared and tastes great. Good atmosphere, friendly stuff (little slow when crowdy at peak times). Inside and outside seating. Parking lot in the rear.
I love this place always quality food & service. Bring your appetite because portions are large.
A solid cafe with a solid menu. We had vegans and non-vegans both in our group and everyone of us was able to find something which worked. Additionally, the bakery items are exceptional, especially the butter croissant that we tried. Flaky and rich!
Food is just okay and not worth the pricing.
The food is really good and I love the spacious interior. If they had wifi I'd stay there all day
Comfortable & casual atmosphere. Healthy food options. Courteous staff. Parking available in the back. Love this place!
Perfect brunch spot!
I went there a while ago and had the french toasts. Best french toasts ever! However the food wasn't served with any utensils. I noticed some tables had them and some didn't. I had to ask for them. Also the cashier seemed upset that I was taking longer to choose. It was my first time there and I wasn't sure what to order. If I'm spending money, I expect a good service.
Food with real quality ingredients. Certainly worth going back to. Prices were good for how much you get. Atmosphere is similar to a place in Columbus I loved.
The banana cream pie here is the best I've ever had! During the holidays it's best that you pre order. The line goes down the block. I was sad to see that they were closed at 8:55pm when yelp says they close at 10pm. The chicken pot pie was a little watery for me. But I still give 4 stars because the banana cream pie is bomb!
Great breakfast place. The selections are healthy and delicious.
Fantastic place for breakfast or pastries. I been here several times for breakfast. The first time I had biscuits and gravy, which were not the menu the second time. They were delicious! I hope they bring the dish back. The second time, I have eggs any style. It’s was so good! Do not hesitate to find another bfast area. Just go here!
Not only their bread but the butter and jams were all so good!! I also had a selection of salad and the portion was so big.
Can't go wrong with this
Fantastic local bakery. Really lovely styling and atmosphere, you can take away or dine in from their breakfast and lunch menu. Lots of nice bakery options, breads, pastries, scones, massive croissants and pain au chocolate, but my Wife's number one was the Ginger Scone, made with Australian Ginger. She'd have had one every day if she could.
Awesome I like this place is clean good atmosphere good customer service they have many options in the menu,my family and I love it the staff is nice friendly
Nice, relaxing cafe for a brunch. A bit on the pricier side in my opinion like having brunch in NYC, but that's what you get in this neighborhood. Portion is on the smaller side, but it's filling enough. I had the pecan french toast which was not as sweet as it sounds and that's how I like my sweets. My husband had the chicken, gravy and biscuit and he really liked the biscuit (he usually complains it's not Southern enough). The chicken was very good too (ugh he had the better choice this time).
Beautiful space. Tasty food. Nitro coffee tasted funny.
This place was amazing. A very handsome guy Sergio helped me and my wife as soon as we walked in he is the man!
I absolutely loved my croissant and coffee! Coming here was a last minute stop, but so glad I did! The croissant was so flaky and soft! One of the best croissants I've ever had!
Classic menu with fresh pastries. On the pricy side. Valet parking available.
Amazing place and good quality ! Love it
I had the best French Toast in this restaurant. Came in with a friend who's visiting from Manila, Philippines. The ambiance is great for casual brunch, their service is okay, the price point is okay too. I'll be back for sure to try their other dishes!
We came here on a Friday at 3 in the afternoon and we were the only ones there. They were fairly quick to make our food and it was delicious
Cute little bakery with a huge variety of breads, entrees and coffees. I ordered the mushroom and goat cheese omelete with a turmeric latte which were both delicious.
What can't I say about La Brea Bakery? Nice atmosphere. The employees were very helpful and nice. Food excellent!
Always good! Great atmosphere, food, & staff. Go there....now!
Wow! What a great place for breakfast or lunch. I usually go to the place next door, but I couldn't be bothered with the line so I decided to revisit La Brea Bakery. Totally awesome sandwiches on amazing bread. I used to buy their bread at Costco, then I would go here to buy it, now I'm addicted to their sandwiches. Highly recommended!
Mm. I have a special thing for croissants. And their croissants are great. Latte was well done. I’d have to try their other bread to give a fairer, more well-rounded review, but just didn’t have the stomach space to try. The place inside is very spacious and a great place for a small bite and chat with a special someone!
I've been a fan of La Brea Bakery for decades! I love their Three Cheese Semolina Bread. I used to always purchase it in a store when I lived in Irvine. It's great being back in the area where I could purchase it directly from the bakery. The donuts are good and service is good. The only downside is the parking.
Oh my if i only have enough time i would spend longer breakfast here. Wide and clean and the food is just as good as eating in the lobby of hotel. My only problem is parking .
Absolutely wonderful! So delicious and cute, our favorite place my husband and I have eaten at on our vacation trip! French toast was great, the baguette and chocolate croissant even better! Coffee too! All so wonderful
They don't have wifi! That's terrible if you need to work. The food is good.
Excellent breakfast choices. You can also just visit the bakery and let your self get inspired from the large bread selection. A bit pricey though...
Freshly baked pastry is just excellent. Staff is very attentive and friendly
Great food cool staff.
Very good breakfasts, and table service: outstanding! Coming back soon.
My husband and I are new to LA and have enjoyed exploring our new neighborhood eats. We’ve come back to La Brea Bakery time and time again because the food is great and so is the service. Shawn (I hope I spelled it right) has been our server the last few times and he is remarkable! Excellent service and super friendly. He’s made a few recommendations that we’ve really enjoyed. Avocado toast is like any other, the lox is delicious and so are the lemon ricotta pancakes if you’re feeling like a splurge. Do yourself a favor and check this place out.
It has a cool atmosphere.
Best blueberry muffins scone etc
Kind of expensive, and at that price the avocado on my avocado toast should not be refrigerator-cold. Also, what’s up with that decor? Doesn’t feel like LA, and I mean that in a bad way. But still a nice place to enjoy some baked goods or bread.
Always a great breakfast at La Brea, and it's still a favorite destination, however...the table service was weirdly odd on this October morning. Like "Okay, where's the hidden camera?" odd. I'm really not a complainer, and we stayed really good-natured about it, BUT we had to ask three different servers before they brought the coffee we ordered to our table. The (great!) food showed up fine, but no coffee. Plain old coffee, nothing fancy! Each server we flagged down seemed really sincere and apologetic...but then inexplicably didn't bring us our coffee! Finally left the table to try the super-friendly host at the front door. He scooted off promptly...but then, still no coffee. Four stars because I'm forgiving and I love La Brea...but what an odd thing! (P.S. Super-friend passed by our table at the end of our meal with an astonished look on his face and apologized that he got distracted and forgot about our coffee. Nice guy.)
Fantastic!! Everything here is freshly prepared and baked, and so delicious!! We stopped in here after having a very disappointing brunch down the road, and decided to grab some OJ and some baked goods to snack on. We found ourselves very pleased with La Brea Bakery Cafe!! It's very clean and modern inside, with a line for ordering meals and an express line for ordering some baked goods. We went to the express line and got ourselves some of their OJ, as we had noticed them freshly squeezing and preparing it right then and there! We also ordered a ham and cheese croissant. The server was so friendly and helpful, it put me in such a good mood!! The staff here all appears to be lovely and work quickly and efficiently! Our fresh OJ was THE BEST orange juice that I have ever had, hands down!! So fresh and rich in taste, incredible!! I honestly didn't know that OJ could be so good! The croissant was delicious as well, freshly baked and prepared, so it was a warm and yummy snack! I was very impressed! I love the laid back atmosphere, including the modern interior and comfortable-looking outdoor patio. The ordering is quick and easy, despite having quite a line. I definitely will come back to have brunch here some time. I was very pleased and impressed with the level of quality of the food and beverages here, as well as the reasonable prices. Well done La Brea Bakery & Cafe!
Wow what a great place. I found it by accident. Lives up to it's rep. Great staff.
Very nice staff and excellent food. I will be back tomorrow
The food was so tasty. My only gripe is that the bread was a bit too chewy.
Great food fast service and nice people
Used to be so good! Not sure what's happening with this place now as they changed the things around a little bit. Food was almost stale. Had goat cheese and mushroom omelet and salad was wilted, burger was tasteless and soggy, all in all not going back any time soon. Breads are still good though!
Everything is good! Love their sandwiches and picking up fresh bread. One of the best parts about living near Wilshire and La Brea!
This place is one of my new favorite dessert spots in sf! They have plenty of different pies, as well as vegan. We got the banana cream pie and a double crusted apple pie topped with ice cream. It was sooo good. Also, their hot chocolate is a must have! I highly recommend. Overall its such a chill location and the staff is very welcoming. No wifi, but there are bathrooms.
Loved this place.. delicious pie and bread's
I was super full. There was quick and friendly service. This place has a good design. Feels like a place in Los Angeles I loved.
Great food and terrific service. Thanks George.
Delicious freshly-baked pastry. Very comfortable atmosphere.
Parking in the front of the restaurant on the street can be challenging. There are parking restriction times in the surrounding neighborhood in the rear but there is a small parking lot in the rear of the restaurant. Service here is always good and staff are very friendly. The food is great and everything from the bakery is good. If you like french onion, the french onion tart is really tasty. They have a great twist in avocado toast. The simple grilled cheese and tomato soup is one of my favorites. It's definitely worth a try. The last two times we were there it did take a while to get the check so that was the only downside.
Oh my goodness!! If you are looking for an amazing, delicious bakery product - La Brea Bakery is where you want to go! I have never tasted finer croissants (even in France!) than the flaky, delicious baked goods from La Brea - see you in line!
Back parking lot is a very small so I suggest street parking. Not a huge selection of baked good like I expected
As good as it gets when it comes to Croissant in the US! Wow do they do them authentically. Perfect texture and flavor. Not to mention the amazing hot chocolate. A must try and an easy place to love.
Why stand in a giant line to eat breakfast at Republique when the perfectly awesome La Brea bakery is just a block away? They also have great pastries, bread, and prepared salads to go.
Dry, uninspired roast beef sandwich. Nancy can't possibly still own this place. Blueberry muffin was good.
La Brea Bakery Cafe Pie definitely filled a gap in my soul with their potato tart. It was a rush of warmth with savory goodness. The potatoes were thinly sliced and were soft as they should be. Haven't had anything like it so far. If you've got a chip on your shoulder or just need a quick perk, I can guarantee you there's something for everyone and it will not disappoint!
Not such a good first experience at this place- cashier gave me and my girlfriend an atitude, having right now a LATTE which leaving it here cause it just tastes bad. Croissant was good tho!
Love their quinoa Turkey burgers!
It's a great place to visit with family
Everything we had there was amazing, fresh squeezed orange juice, even the toast was really good. My wife had the avocado toast which is excellent.
Despite living 5 minutes from this cute little brekkie spot, I had never dropped in until today! Apparently it used to be table service but now you simply walk up to the counter, order and pick your spot. I wasn't overly hungry so I ordered the Steel Cut Oats and they were delicious! I also ordered an Iced Latte but they mixed up my order and gave me a plain iced coffee- not a huge deal. Love the different condiments available to purchase and take home and the whole vibe of the restaurant. I will definitely be returning!
One of the worst bakeries I have been to the atmosphere is beautiful but as far as a bakery goes it has a horrible selection of pastries I want to say there were about 5 pastries I ordered a apricot cheese danish and being a pastry chef myself the cheese was curdled the Danish was the coffee was overpriced they could do much better I would not recommend this place to anyone
This is my go-to when I want baked goods a crust above the rest. It’s by far the most renowned bakery in LA, the products are all evidence of that. I go here often to buy a nice baguette or loaf to have around the house, and they’re always of a high quality and have excellent flavor. The prices are competitive as well. There’s no downside.
It’s an ok bakery. Lots of options and seating. Clean. Service could be better. Asked if they used organic flour in the baked goods and the girl simply said, “I don’t know”. Didn’t care either. She could have asked someone. Disappointing when the employees don’t know such a basic fact considering the title of the place is BAKERY. I also asked her what sells the most and she said, “we sell everything”. She was less than excited to work here. It’s better than most bakeries in LA but will definitely fall in the ranks when Dominique Ansel Bakery opens. I wouldn’t return here.
Amazing! Great coffee, bread and pastries
I herd about this place tried there pre made ham & cheese corrsiant was not hot enough. Corrsiant was good !! Tho.
Good food and bake goods.
Amazing! Great coffee, food, and service. The $5 toast is great value and fills you up for a day of sightseeing.
normally i would have posted a pic but food looked so good i couldn't stop. this place has a cool atmosphere. if it wasn't far from my work i would come by more.
Literally none of the staff know what’s going on in this place. Thought it was maybe someone’s first day - if that was the case, then it was every employees first day... Shame cuz the food is great but the place has really gone downhill staff-wise: had to ask for a fork and knife for my food, then a spoon for my coffee, got undercharged for an OJ, then overcharged for the OJ, then had to wait for 3 employees who were using the restroom... sad.
the bill was good for how much you get.
I come here all the time for breakfast with friends and family. It's a nice little place, with friendly staff and a really fantastic menu. Prices are reasonable, and their bakery is one of the best in the area.
Loved every bite!
it was so appetizing. the staff was very helpful and observant. prices were reasonable.
Food is still fabulous. More casual now. Order food at counter and then grab a seat.
My daughter and I love going here for breakfast or a quick snack. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Love just about everything they have to offer. My daughter who has a particular palate lives the tomato bisque and has finally graduated to an adult grilled cheese sandwich after trying La Brea Bakery's version. Everything is always fresh and on a grand scale.
George was super friendly and funny. The place is beautiful and cozy.
Wow. Food was absolutely delish. The service was top notch. However, almost 6 bucks for a croissant. Not for my average Joe income on a daily basis...would love to come back ince in a blue moon.
Very good food and service! There are gluten free options as well, which made it ideal.
The olive oil eggs are what dreams are made of ! We live on the east coast but was in CA for the weekend so stopped in for brunch. I have serious cravings for this brunch dish!!!! The olive bread is perfect the eggs are perfect...
The food was great. Easy parking in the back alley with free 90 min valet. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Service was good both. They were friendly and quick. Food was delicious. I'd definitely come back. Higley reccomend the Eggs Benedict and the Iced Matcha Latte. The Matcga here isn't sweetened which made me love it even more.
Cozy ambience. Freshly baked breads.
A lovely cafe with many offerings.. also free valet parking w validation
Wonderful bread. The multigrain is dense, nutritious and delicious toasted with peanut butter
As a european ex pat, I seriously crave authentic buttery flaked croissants, delicately spiced cakes, flavors that I can taste without an overload of one dimensional sugar, so this is the place to go to, wonderfully authentic the closest you'll get to France , with fresh and seasonal ingredients and a great atmosphere.
Well, what can I say, the bread is really good. The sandwiches, not so much.
This used to be my 4 star go to spot for lunch meetings but they’ve turned a really great restaurant with fantastic service into a cafeteria style place where you order at counter and take a number to your table. If you’re meeting someone for business it makes it seem like you took them to a MacDonalds where coffee drinks are $5 and you have to order everything at once (drink, food, dessert). Please change it back.
Nice staff, decent selection. Location is okay.
This is such a wonderful way to spend your morning. We had a small glitch but we spoke to manager Gino and he remedied it perfectly. We will be back for sure. Cappuccino was the best ever, hash is delirious. Thank you Gino.
Great service and breakfast with even better bread. My top go-to place if I don't feel like making breakfast.
A favorite evening place of mine. This place has an awesome atmosphere.
Enjoyed the delicious food, but miss the lovely waitress whose friendly personality I enjoyed with the meal. It seems empty without the staff of waiters.
Amazing place to have breakfast. All pastries we tried were delicious and the coffee is great.
Was in town for a little bit and decided to drop $15 for a turkey sandwich. The ingredients were fresh, healthy, and flavorful. I had the toasted sourdough, it usually comes with wheat, but this was an excellent choice nonetheless. Asked for thousand island and somehow was given chipotle aioli. Good thing I liked it though. Price is a bit high, but definitely worth the cost and the atmosphere. Beautiful place. I wouldn't mind going back on date night to try something more fancy. Ciao.
Awesome place, delicious food, great staff... Must visit....
