I love the setting. Food is yummy. Great mocha latte.
The best macha green tea latte in SB!
Great food. Great environment. Great service. I'm surprised they don't have a Michelin star! I try to stop by whenever I can. The staff is very friendly
Great breakfast, plenty of options.
Great food
I choose Egg benedict in the afternoon. It was great. Eggs and avocados with americano were delicious.
Been here lots of times and still absolutely my favorite place to get coffee and have a conversation with friends. Coffee is great and cake is great also. Will always be coming back.
Great breakfast!!
Good food and atmosphere!
Great food. Great service. I sat outside the patio on a sunny day and it was wonderful. Service was awesome.
Had breakfast omelette on the patio watching the parade on State Street
We asked our hotel for breakfast suggestions and Jeannine's was first on the list. It turned out to be a good suggestion. The restaurant was pretty crowded on a Friday morning. I ordered a breakfast burrito because I couldn't really decide what I wanted. Normally a breakfast burrito is a last resort for me but this one was one of the best ones I've ever had. It might have been the house made salsa that came with it but the flavor was remarkable.
awesome french toast
Is good and delicius but they should tell you the size of the Dish So you can choose better, but is good and people there are very kind, they ask you if everything is fine and they help you if not.
Great spot: excellent food, good service (order up front), fun vibe. Our go-to brunch spot when visiting Santa Barbara!
Best place ever.
Bomb food and great environment for any day of the week!
Local breakfast place
Perfect brunch spot to bring your mom
Great breakfast food. Quite crowded on the weekend.
This place was delicious.
Donut holes
Beautiful place, food excellent. Not sure why a place of this caliber requires you to walk up and order. Will definitely be back
Yummy!
Very good american breakfasts. Refill of coffee for sure, very friendly to customers
excelent
Nice breakfast spot.
It a good restaurant and good place to meet your friends.
Very nice place. Great buttermilk pancakes!
Visiting here again after 6 years. The food is just as delicious as it was the last time I came here. Whether it’s breakfast or lunch, you won’t be disappointed - don’t leave without dessert!
Fabulous place for brunch
Find a table first sit down and order at the counter.
Best plant based tofu breakfast I have had. Service is adequate, courteous and friendly.
Very popular brunch place. Great selections. Can be crowded during peak hours.
I am very impressed with this place. First of all, before I get to the food I'd like to point out how good the customer service is here. They really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and be of service. Now to the food. I ordered my wife a strawberry vanilla cake for her birthday. I can honestly say it is the best cake I have ever eaten. It's dense and yummy without being too sweet. I would eat here all the time if I lived closer.
Amazing coffee, good food
Such a cute spot. Food is delicious, coffee is perfect!
Very nice place both indoors and outdoors. Delicious food and drink.
A wonderful place in Santa Barbara with a very nice ambience. We had the special chicken sausage scramble which was absolutely delightful. The Kahlua Banana French Toast was exquisite. A great meal for our last day in this trip. This place to us very much captures what makes America so wonderful.
The best Kahlua french toast in my life. ❤️
I thought the layout was weird, and mismanaged. The food was good but not great. I didn't have to wait to long and the staff was friendly enough. I just didn't like the order at the counter and try to be fancy about it. It seemed like everyone was standing around for to long trying to figure out what to do. It's not immediately clear.
The Breakfast quesadilla was delicious! Also, great service and nice outdoor seating.
Typical breakfast fair, though with fresh ingredients. Very kind and friendly staff. They seem very happy with their place of work.
Delicious sandwiches, salads and more
A good breakfast spot in Santa Barbara. The coffee drinks were delicious and the pastries flaky and amazing.
Great breakfast
Great food & desserts
Try lobster benedict,it's awesome
Yum!
My wife loves this place. Loves it. If it's busy, then no place to sit, but if you eat there, you will be happy.
My favorite breakfast spot in Santa Barbara! Great coffee, excellent breakfast dishes and upbeat vibe. Love to start my day at Jeannine's!
This popular European style Cafe is in what is known to locals as the heart of Santa Barbara located inside the famous Arcada Plaza, this beautique Cafe offers some of the best environment in Santa Barbara. Surrounded by art Galleries, wine tasting bars and the best shopping Santa Barbara on State Street, this Cafe definitely the best of the best.
Food was absolutely delicious
California or Salmon Benedict brunch is my favorite, but had the waffle last time and it was great. We always love a Mocha or Cappuccino and brunch when visiting Santa Barbara at Jeannine's.
Food was amazing and decently priced.
Great brrakfast
Great atsmosphere, excellent coffee and pastry. Service was quick and with excellent manors. Recommended 100%
Generous portions, wonderful tastes and great service
Jeanines is a local speciality, featuring a kick back vibe, friendly staff and great food. It's slightly on the pricey side (what isn't in downtown Santa Barbara) and is often very crowded at peak breakfast times. The food selection is awesome, my favorite is the French toast, they also have fantastic coffee and orange juice!
Paid $30 for a sandwich and a wrap. Neither of which was all that flavorful. $3 for iced tea? Typical of the hipster garbage found in Santa Barbara now
One of the best places in SB❤️
Delicious breakfast options in this French-inspired bakery.
Pretty good breakfast! The burrito was a little watery, but the breakfast sandwich was great and the scones were very good as well.
it was so appetizing. i will be bringing family next time. it has a good atmosphere. food is like a restaurant in louisville i loved.
Great experience.. Good food..nice environment.. Friendly staff..
Brunch was tasty!
High end breakfast. Always great.
An excellent place for a breakfast or lunch
Favorite place in SB to treat myself to kahlua banana french toast and potatoes. Delicious.
Everything was delicious and great service!
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent coffee, very nice setting
Food is amazing!
Great little cafe. Excellent food presentation. Great atmosphere. Walk up counter to order. I would have preferred full service but the staff was very friendly. Food was wonderful!
Love it. Most intimate and delicious restaurant for breakfast or brunch. Perfect portions and consistently great for the last 20 years.
I really wanted to like this place because i always hear so many good things about it, but i don't think i will go back. I went to try the quinoa. I went by myself and was given a nice tall table by the window. I had ordered a decaf macchiato with almond milk and the quinoa. I also asked for a piece of some apple bread that was in the display case. It looked good but was dry and not very tasty. It was busy so it took a while to get my food. One of the baristas came over to confirm my drink and offer a suggestion. She told me that almond milk does not foam up and suggested soy instead. I told her i would go with her suggestion shortly thereafter a manager came by the table with a reciept for the refund of my drink. He just left it on the table and dashed off. I had to wait to flag someone down and explained what happened. He apologized and said if i gave him my credit card he could charge me again for the drink. Had i been the manager, i would have apologized and not charged for the drink since it was their error not mine. When they finally brought my drink the presentation was bad. (I uploaded a picture.) The quinoa was not very tasty so i didn't eat most of it. I was super disappointed at the lack of good customer service and not very tasty food. I really did want to like the place.
This place is always super crowded but the food is fresh and delicious. The pic attached is of their Norwegian Benedict.
Great spot for brunch! Enjoyed the salmon benedict and avocado toast!
Brunch and the special of the day were interesting. In fact they were healthy options too. Service could have been better.
Delicious food! Fast, friendly service! Beautiful atmosphere.
Overall this place was okay. Quality good, overall atmosphere open and nice. Very roomy interior, plenty of covered outdoor seating (perfect for SB weather), and good service. Location is La Arcada is quaint and fun, kids would definitely enjoy the various statues and turtle/koi ponds. This place seems good for standard breakfast fare (pancakes and French toast in particular look sweet and good!) especially if you want to be in an area with plenty to do afterwards (SB courthouse, State Street shopping, chilling in La Arcada - plenty of cute stores there), but I wouldn't come here expecting a unique dining experience. The cakes in the bakery window looked like they would make for a great tea time or after-meal dessert! Might swing by again to try.. On to the food... Ice coffee was okay (straws are compostable paper, yay!), nothing special and a nice addition to a pastry or cake at $3. The coconut pineapple scone is unique but less like a traditional scone and more like a biscuit, soft texture and relatively moist. Fairly sweet. The breakfast quesadilla is good, fluffy eggs (personally I'm not a fan of eggs but I did enjoy this, so thumbs up!) with green onions, bacon costs extra but even without they are generous with the cheese inside and there are toppings of sour cream, salsa (spicy! and good), guacamole, and Tapatío or ketchup that are provided to jazz things up. Potatoes on the side were nothing special but a solid "good". Overall, the food here is good across the board, albeit a little expensive (~$15 for an egg/cheese quesadilla with salsa/guac and potatoes).
Great spot for brunch! Me and my fiancee were visiting Santa Barbara and stopped in for brunch. We were not disappointed! We sat outside, which had a great atmosphere of being out in public, but also very private. The food was delicious! I got the Pancake Breakfast, and my fiancee got the Huevos Rancheros. Prices were reasonable. The service was prompt. Definitely recommend!
Classic grilled cheese and tomato bisque soup, great comfort food lunch, terrific view of the street for people watching
Terrific local place for breakfast. My partner got the kahlua French toast. We got seated pretty quickly and had a nice server take our order. My omelette was fluffy and very flavorful. It's got a country kitchen sort of decor that's charming. We'd come again.
Great food and service un the beautiful Santa Bárbara
I had an amazing breakfast, but what is with the service, have I missed something?
There aren't enough stars!!!! I made her French toast for Christmas, yes! Her recipe is online. My total health geek, DPT son orders 3 different meals because he HAS to have the French toast the Benedict and the omelet. What doesn't she franchise????
The best bakery in the world.
Always bring people here when they are visiting.
Jeannies was good! I got a breakfast burrito and most of my group had challah French toast. Everyone liked their food and the drinks were great. Lovely atmosphere that feels more like a quaint European city than any place I know in my home town San Diego. I only gave 4 stars because nothing stood out as particularly exceptional, but it was certainly all good.
Typical breakfast joint. Slightly overpriced. Nothing special.
Mm yummy plates, nice atmosphere to seat, relax and enjoy your food
love the beagle egg and cheese
One word! Excellent ! Food, service, portion, ambience!
for Breakfast waffles, pancakes poached eggs the best most consistent.
We were looking for a nicer breakfast place and looked at the top list on TripAdvisor to find this - turned out to be a gem. Fast and friendly, a lot of seating space outside and a delicious set of eggs benedict and very fluffy and tasty american pancakes.
Great food. Amazing coffee.
Kahlua banana French toast sounded great and tasted even better. Norwegian eggs Benedict is highly recommended. Glad we stopped for breakfast on our way out of town.
I loove this place..My NR 1 in Santa Barbara for fancy delicious breakfest. I always bring my guests there...and white rasbery cake is to die 4.
Probably the most popular breakfast spot in town. Great espresso bar.
The food it's just ok, and very expensive not good.
Coffee and pastries are really good here. The food is always done well. It can be very busy for lunch and breakfast so be patient.
Cute place in the courtyard. I was even able to get a refill to go! That's customer service!
What a charming little bakery, great to sit, relax with a tasty breakfast and people watch. Their Banana Kahlua french toast is AMAZING, must try! The American breakfast is surprisingly full of meats (as I like it). The cuban coffee was excellent, not sure we had anything like it while in Havana :-)
Loved by locals and tourists alike! On the corner of Santa Barbara's most lovely paseo, you will love the European feel of this breakfast/lunch hot spot. I take myself to lunch here once a week. Yeah, maybe I should skip the french toast with kahlua bananas and stick to my low-cal diet, but Jeannine's is a place for indulging, and people watching.
I usually have good service here, however, the last time I went there they put my sandwich on the wrong bread and it took forever for them to come back with the corrected sandwich.
Great, I needed food for 20 and they got it ready quickly.
Great cakes, okay breakfast and pastries
The ultimate yum-yum breakfast in SB.
The daily specials are a good deal and very delicious
Pleased with both service and food everytime I visit Jeannine's. My two favorites are the Benedicts, especially the salmon one, and their French toast. The atmosphere is cozy with both inside and outside seating, located in the Arcada Courtyard. I don't like that they have TVs on inside but that is just my preference. Good coffee too!
Great Santa Barbara restaurant if you're looking for a good breakfast.
Came here with my roommates to grab a quick midday meal before we got on a landshark. I had the breakfast club sandwich on rye which came with a side of home fries. The sandwich consisted of fried eggs, thick cut bacon, spinach, and tomato on buttered rye. It was surprisingly not salty. Usually when I eat out, the food always ends up being salty. The meal was very filling, satisfying, and soaked up the alcohol I had on the landshark perfectly. I will come here again if I plan on going day drinking on State Street.
Nice place, great breakfast. Would have given 5 stars if one of the waitresses (Ms Ol..ia) wasn't super annoyed and unfriendly :( Rest of the staff, especially the trainee, were super nice!
The Birthday party became perfect with the cake from Jeannine’s
My favorite place in SB
Another one of my favourite pastries!
Da bomb
Amazing find! Coffee great and food even better. First class eggs Benedict- eggs perfect & the muffin was toasted yet easy to cut into and was soft inside. My hubby had the Friday special & the Chilaquiles were amazing. You can tell the sauce was made with love as the Chile flavors were deep and smooth! We’re from Md and we will definitely come back on our next SB visit!
Best cakes ever! Every bite is worth it
Muy acogedor, la comida buena, buena presentacion y atencion.
Always great at all locations!
Always good service, feel special.
Excellent food. Lively staff.
Long wait.. need more cashiers downtown. Delicious homemade food!
Jeanine's has the best pastries and breakfast in Santa Barbara. The downtown location has the better atmosphere. Reminds me of a retro feeling.
Charming, delicious food, friendly staff
Really good brunch but a bit pricey and a bit overcrowded.
Great local bakery and restaurant serving up chef-level cuisine that is sure to impress no matter what you order.
One of the best Benedicts I’ve ever had: the bun was soft with crunchy edges, the salmon was deep dark red and the yolk was orange. Balanced, beautiful, delicious.
