This smaller bakery off of the main road is well worth the time. From the moment you step out of your car you are hit with the amazing aroma of hand made baked goodies. I had to limit myself to about once a week before work. What is so great is that they have a different spin on their selection. They have the normal items as well as new items that are worth a try!

I placed a special order for a cake for an event this past weekend, and it was wonderful! I was able to order thru facebook, which made my part of the planning so easy! Communication was great, I was given my price up front, and they took my very vague "just make it look pretty, we aren't picky" and gave us a beautifully decorated and incredibly tasty cake!! I provided the recipe, and it tasted just like it does when Ma makes it! Can't get a much higher compliment than that ;) I will definitely recommend Marlo's, and use them again next time I need something baked!

I went there on 22 April since Jason's was closed thinking I was gonna walk into a place with donuts, cookies, cakes and the like. I found it to be a cozy little place that has a great ambiance and a sophisticated offering of croissants, some cookies and bars and other Euro style bakery products. If you're looking for a place that feels high end (for Fairbanks) and don't want to bother with the masses, this place is for you. I got a Cinnamon Roll with homemade cream cheese icing (and boy was it homemade!) for $3 and it's the best one I've had in town thus far. They also offer coffee and tea beverages and nice little place to sit that is reminiscent of a Euro cafe. There is a $2 minimum for card purchases but honestly, if this sounds like a place you'll like, I doubt you'll have any issue meeting that minimum. The lady behind the counter was friendly and knew the gentleman that came in after me by name indicating that she takes the time to get to know her customers. I had a lovely experience there and will 100% be going back. I know it doesn't look like much from the road, but the inside is lovely. Also, parking is kind of limited, but that's due to the location.
