Good doughnuts with a twist like bacon doughnuts, you will see tons of delicious pastries here that you will have trouble deciding and what to buy. The only down side is that they seem to be open at random times and have no stable schedule. But, if they are open, be sure to drop on in, grab a coffee and a doughnut, and enjoy it.

Fresh donuts. They are not the best but acceptable in Alaska. Prices are a little high but they are in a same line with quality. 24hours cafe is a good option for late night hunger, especially if you do not want bankrupt yourself

The food here is a giant leap up in taste from the chain donut restaurant that opened up. I appreciate Golden's hours and the efficiency of their servers. The espresso items are over priced, which is my only gripe.

It was set up nicely, people were friendly, lots of clean seating, bathrooms were clean, doughnuts were amazing and they even have a drive thru. We will definitely be back! I'm glad we opted out of the first doughnut place we stopped at this morning!

I have been going to Golden donuts for 25 years at least and They are always awesomsauce at Golden Donuts. Today they proved how awesome they really are. I am stupid and had an issue and they did not stress out about it at all. These folks are always really nice and respectful. So I do still appreciate the local business. Thank you I would recommend Golden donuts anytime over the Big corporate guys. I did try the new place but the food taste like it was shipped up frozen and then just reheated instead of freshly cooked daily.

***Golden Donuts*** I've lived in Anchorage for most of my life, and I have to say Golden Donuts is a wonderful establishment. They are usually open 24 hours! Obviously the donuts are more fresh in the morning, but their hours are pretty cool. Also they are sometimes closed for their family trips, but they are nice people! And if you need something for your sweet tooth, come check out this place! They have glazed donuts, cake donuts, filled donuts, sprinkled donuts, donut holes, you name it! I've never seen them refuse service to anyone, but I bet if they do, its probably because that customer was being highly unpleasant. Also, this place is very close to the University, so if you're a student, its nice to go there for a study break!

Hands down the best donuts in town. Their creamed filled maple triangles and apple fritters are amazing. Some people complain about the hours. They are 24 hrs a day until 3pm Sunday and the take Monday off. They are a family run business and usually take several weeks off in June to visit family. I have always seen the times and dates posted so I don't know what people are complaining about.

Definitely not open 24 hours, as they will be randomly closed without notice, sometimes for over a week. You should call before you head over, just to be sure you won’t arrive to a closed shop. Honestly some of the best donuts in town, but not if you can’t get them when they say they’re open.

I arrived late in the day and there was still an excellent choice of donuts. I ordered the cherry rosette, and a coffee. I stayed and ate there and really felt comfortable (cleanliness and staff service was pretty good) except for the picnic style seating... I am not a small guy as I obviously am here eating donuts and the tables and chairs are welded together and dont move. So my belly was squished trying to sit at the table. Otherwise I love the place... get your grub on and have a donut!

Didn't care for it. I was looking for donuts that were as great as the ones I have at home (upstate NY). We have cinnamon sugar cake donuts that LITERALLY come straight out the fryer. With all the great reviews this place had I was at least expecting warm fresh donuts. Nope. And they didn't even have the cake donuts that I wanted so I left. The place looked dirty and customer service was questionable. The woman made faces at me when i asked a question and before i was even done she moved onto someone else. Cool. Also the sign that said "We have the right to deny service to ANYONE" turns me off as well. Could just say this is a privately owned establishment.

Seriously awesome donuts. Love this place. Some of the best donuts I've had. They're super soft and yummy. The only reason I didn't rate 5 stars is because the past 3 times ive been there, they were out of donuts. At like 6:00pm. Not sure if that's bad planning or what but I was pretty disappointed. So don't go around 6-7pm, they might not have any. Other than that, this place is the best.

I really like the donuts but the past few times I’ve gone I’ve asked for vanilla rainbow sprinkle donuts and been given chocolate rainbow sprinkle or just chocolate sprinkle. I’m just not a fan of chocolate or I wouldn’t care. Good products but I’d say always check your stuff before leaving.

Two stars for the good donuts, but every time I have been there in the last few years they act like there is a fire, hurry up and order!! I have been to this store over a half dozen times, I have yet to leave with the donuts I want because they are impatiently wanting me to order. I'd like to take my time and choose the twelve I really want, at least one of these times, so far I feel ripped off since each time I leave with half a dozen donuts I don't really want because I was rushed. Dunkin Donuts didn't even feel rushed, but this place acts like each second window shopping is money down the drain, hate being rushed in and out....

In my opinion, this place has the best donuts in Anchorage. My family loves this place. A few favorites of ours are the donut holes, cruellers, rainbow sprinkled, and old-fashioned cake donuts. Even they're glazed donuts are great! It's a great place to grab a donut and hang out with your friends/fam.

So the girl with the purple hair wearing cat ears to work is about as smart as a door post. I am trying to get a hold of the owner because I had left my wallet there. The girl is dingy and wouldn't even try, just says to call in the morning. She doesn't even try to get a hold of anyone that would have a contact. Very unfortunate. We are from out of town and if this is how they're going to be then so be it. I have to file a police report for lost/stolen. And this place has officially lost my business which we are in town quite a bit and have spent a lot of money there when traveling, for crew, and meetings. Hopefully their cameras at their counter aren't just for show and we can resolve this asap.

I'm a big fan of glazed donuts. I ended up getting a dozen and they were under-cooked. When I pulled the donut apart it was like the cheese of a quesadilla, as in it was very stretchy. Don't think I'll ever come back to this place. It was a bit disappointing.

This place hardly cleaned after each customer. The workers talk too loud and sometimes inappropriate for a work environment. I wish the donuts were warmed. Homeless people come in from time time. I have not had customer service problems.

Our party went there about midnight. The young man working the register/fryer was courteous and patient with our ordering. We ordered one dozen fancies and one dozen regular, plus a couple dozen donut holes. Many others were waiting behind us. Prices were okay, being just over $42. Seems they must have remodeled recently as it was neat and homey looking. Bathroom conditions were up to par. My only wish is if the hours would be 24/7 again as the hours are difficult to remember and odd.

Pretty awesome, unique donuts. Great for grabbing a bunch for a lot of people or making a late night donut run. Make sure to learn the batch times as some of the good ones run out fast! It seemed a little messy inside and the staff is not always the nicest, but it's a good little shop.

Used to be better. I used to get donuts a few times a month here... things have gone down hill the last 18 months or so. I find myself going less and less item. Prices are bit high but the service used to be good so I didn't care. Yesterday went in asked for an assorted dozen with no nuts. Twice lady put donuts with nits in box, I remind her each time, on 3rd time I told her I'm allergic to nuts there have been so many in that box start over. She said i ordered assorted so just take what she puts in box and "stop being so demanding. I left without the donuts and won't be back.

Brain damaged customer service speaking in circles of when the jelly doughnuts would be ready. Another customer told me which doughnuts were coming out next. A customer after that asked specifically for granulated sugar doughnuts to which the guy behind the counter responded he had some in back. Don’t know what the deal was, haven’t been there in years and the guy put me off going back.

I love the donuts a lot, but every time I drive there thinking they are open they aren’t, and they claim to open 24 hours and it’s happened like 5 times they should be open and they are not, don’t claim to be 24 hours but be closed at random times with no reason, now I have to call ahead and make sure they are open before I waste gas.
