I gave it one star because there was not an option to give it ZERO! I WOULDN'T recommend this place on my worst days. They are horribly unorganized you only get to meet and know who your attorney is RIGHT before your court date you have little to no interaction with YOUR attorney who's the one representing and talking on YOUR behalf! You can call all you like it takes up to 72 hours to get a return call and that is from the paralegal. I went to court back in November of last year and still have heard nothing from SSD or my attorney I have to keep calling them to try to get an update and they keep telling me to keep calling back you're better off representing yourself if you only have the option of going to them I'm just saying your choice but I'm telling you for a personal experience. Having them as a lawyer is worse than walking in the court without a lawyer think twice! #IKIWISHIDID

Horrible experience... they "represented" me for months, only to "withdraw" their representation after my disability claim was denied. They made no effort to acquire my medical records (30 hospitals over 30 years). I had several "case managers" over six months. Find a local attorney, not an online make-believe one.

Due to the multiple diagnostic complexities and legal variables with my disability I honestly believe I would have been denied my badly needed and highly legitimate disability claim had it not been for Tabak Law. If you want the best chance for approval of your claim if you are disabled get a lawyer before you begin. And if you want the best law firm go with The Tabak Law Firm and their high caliber attorneys. I saw a 1 star review and I respectfully disagree. Here and there possibly they may be busy working on and winning cases for other clients. They have a heavy caseload of many many clients because of their excellent reputation. They made the best and strongest possible case in the legal briefs they filed for my case based on my medical records. They seem to genuinely care about helping people with disabilities but it's all business and excellent legal knowledge, research, and and representation when it comes to being in court. I sympathize with the reviewer who gave 1 star because her calls were not answered right away. I too often want to talk with someone the moment I call and yes I wasn't able to always do that. But I can't argue with this firms sincere dedication to helping the disabled and their highly effective legal representation and I can't argue with the results I've seen in my own case. They win cases! Highly Recommended!!!

I called wanting to make an appointment and Fred Tabak for one had no personality and then told me that the accident was my fault because I had custody and had control of the dog. He started by saying because of where the owner works he must likely has no money and cant afford insurance. Wouldnt even suggest us meeting to discuss my case. I was referred to him by another attorney. I am sure that if he knew just how I would be treated he wouldn't be referring people to him. I was on the phone with a girl for what seemed like an hour, being asked all these questions. I felt like I was disturbing her at a party she had going on in the background. She was rude and laughing, while I was confused by her speech and unable to answer her questions quick enough. After what seemed to be a torture session via the telephone, as I do have disabilities that prevent me from holding the phone for long periods of time and staying awake, she gets even more rude. The questions turned to income of my husband and our assets, and when she found out that we have more than $3,000. in assets she states that they can not help us. I asked why she didn't just tell me that in the first place and we wouldn't have to have gone through all that and she stated that they had to make the determination first. DUH!!!! It was based on my assets!!! That should have been the first question. That wasn't the only argument during the conversation.... They will NOT help you if you have already started the process on your own. And I had previously stated that I had already gotten my denial... She was not with the conversation at all!!!

The only time I spoke to an Attorney in over 2 years there was the day of my hearing. After being found unfavorable, in my opinion because of a lack of work and proper medical records being reviewed, I never received another call from anyone. They didn’t say why, they didn’t go over any options, nothing. So be careful. Unless you get yours approved they may abandon you as they have me. They initially promised they would go all the way to the Supreme Court if they had to. Yet here I sit unable to barely walk with no help. Thanks Tabak Law. One thing I forgot to mention is I was told by Noah ( who is no longer there) and the attorney that showed up the day of the hearing ( he was a hired out attorney that knew absolutely nothing about my case. And never returned a call) that they were 70-80% sure with all my issues that I would be found favorable. I’m not upset that I wasn’t, I am upset that they NEVER called me once after the hearing. I will be contacting a local private attorney soon because my time limit to appeal will end very soon.

Now an angel at Tabak is going to help me be heard from just being thrown to the wolves after my permanent disability was discontinued because my "upgraded green card" expired. I am a permanent resident alien whose been in US of America for 50 years! My parents and I worked hard all of our lives here. My father designed the software for the lottery in Calif. and helped with the internet...He was known in Silicone valley as the internet Guru. His wife lost a battle with Cancer and he has needed Dialysis for years and other medical costs which absorbed the money he had. I worked since I was twelve ...Head Cook at Golden Egg Omelet in Novato, housecleaning and commercial fishing and carpentry and waitressing. My disabilities happened from working so hard and for four years Social Security keeeps denying me now. They had told me when I got my greencard I just had to bring it in. I did three years ago. in the year and a half this law firm had my case, i never spoke to the same person ever.. they had my diagnosis wrong on the paperwork sent to the law judge for my appeal, they refused to let me speak to the attorney, they hired an outside attorney for my appeal, without my knowledge or consent, who showed up right before my hearing, told me not to say anything and did not know anything about my case, did not speak on my behalf, this firm asked me to provide my own medical records, i cant drive, so getting them to this firm i had to have someone else do it for me, they did not even have all my records submitted to the appeal hearing, this is the worst law firm you could ever use for ssdi..unless your guaranteed to win. then you dont need them anyway STAY AWAY!!!

I had acquired the services of Tabak Law approximately 2 1/2 years ago! I had interviewed several law firms because I was looking for a form that was going to keep me in the loop of the process of applying for disability! I had a judgement several years back from Florida but I was not happy with the lawyer I had and lost my case! I gave up and tried to work for a while but I decided to search for a fofi who actually cares about what I was going through and would be in it for the long haul! I'm writing this review because I am upset by shady tactics of attorney Lisa Forsythe. She acted against my expressed wishes and not in my best interest. She also misled me aka lied, using a technicality of wording to deceive me. Ms Forsythe your actions were clearly to keep the meter running. Example: To hold things up you took nearly a month to submit an unnecessary unrelated file. Faxing! It could have been done in 1 - 3 days! Knowing my situation you still coldly left me to suffer just to get a bigger slice of the pie. Greed. I had heard good things about Tabak Law. I hope you are the exception to what others can expect. It's not fair to the lawyers who have integrity.

Thank you very much Tameka from Tabak law you made the process of getting my Social Security a very easy process. SSI is very difficult to deal with. Tameka and her staff were honest and up front with me. It was very disheartening to learn first-hand that the above-mentioned government agency could be so difficult and misleading to work with when they're supposed to be representing hard-working citizens of the United States that need to access the program's set in place for those hard-working citizens. Being denied disability because SS I determined I wasn't disabled and then 2 Days Later receiving supplemental security income because SSI determined I was disabled can be very confusing until you read between the lines. Thank you Tabak law for your expertise and assistance in getting me my supplemental Security income, couldn't have done it without you.

I would like to take just a moment and say thank you to the law firm of Tabak Law and in particular attorney Alex Icorn. Back in 2011 I suffered a terrible accident while on the job. I will not mention the accident or my employer in detail. Though I will say this is one of those accidents that should never have happened. If only our supervisor's would have listened to the safety concerns of their employees! After having a four level cervical fusion c-3 through c-7 and having several months of therapy i was informed I was listed at 50% disabled. This cannot be, they must be mistaken I thought to myself. How ever after trying to get back to a normal life and trying to do many of the things one takes for granted I came to accept the fact that my plans for what I loved to do and places I wanted to go, well just took a dramatic turn! What is the one saying no employer should ever here of their work place? "It always takes someone getting hurt before they will do anything about it!" Alex helped me through some gray times,gave me encouragement,assured me he could help and from that day on handled all matters. Did I mention that i contacted other law firms and they did want my case?
