I am writing this review because I was truly amazed at the service I was provided by Janice Kelly and her team at Cohen & Cohen ( not to be confused with Micheal Cohen). I was in an accident and knocked off the road by another vehicle that took off and left me to wait for help from anyone at the time. I was contacted by a few law firms trying to gain my trust but I already made my decision. Let me start off by saying Thank you to Mr. Adam Leighton. This man Is an amazing lawyer And will stand his ground Solidly For you In defense and representation For what You deserve In the end. I must say this was my first Accident In 20 years of driving and it was not my fault What so ever. At first I didn't feel the need to contact a lawyer so I went and see my primary care doctor. Primary care doctor took me out of work and sent me for some extensive testing Like cat scan MRI And so on. It wasn't even a week or 2, I was getting rejection bills in the mail from my primary Insurance through work Stating that they were denying payment And that I would have to pay this myself or forward to my insurance And I was at a total Disarray because I had no idea What to do. I had no idea that your primary insurance that you pay for each week Out of your check Would not cover Your injury bill. I mean I'm hurt and Pay for insurance and disability and the whole nine yards at work each week out of my check and to have your Primary care insurance that you're paying for each week Send you a letter stating there not paying for Anything related to this automobile accident And that I need to go through my insurance Was devastating To say the least. Here I am Trying to focus on Healing and worry about the Thousands and when I say thousands I mean thousands of dollars worth of bills That are now put on my lap And I have no clue what to do. Then you get people telling you that the insurance is gonna wanna pay the least and close the case asap so that way they are clear and free. That is 100% true In my opinion. Once you sign off With your insurance if you're dealing directly with them the case is closed and done. So if any bills are delayed or just Side tracked and show up at your door a Couple months after you close You're stuck paying For them. So backtracking once I received The letter from my primary health insurance through my employer That they were not paying for any of that and I was looking at thousands worth of bills already in the course of a week or 2 I said right then and there I could Not deal with it. I asked all my family and friends For advice on good attorney's with this and I didn't turn up with very much. So I decided to go online and start looking around , googling I'm just hoping for the best. As I googled Cohen and Cohen was the 1st to come up , right off the bat I was impressed With the reviews But then thought this is too good to be true. So I kept looking. I looked and looked And I always ended up back at Cohen and Cohen. So I pulled the trigger made a phone call, And I've gotta be honest I drove 2 hours down and 2 hours back. Driving the 2 hours back I can't say that I really was excited and happy that I felt like I had someone that had my back And that's just being honest. But I truly believe that Most people are gonna feel that way specially when this is your First time going through any of this. One thing that stuck in my mind though And I was told this from the start, This is not gonna be a fast process this Is not gonna be a quick process. This process could take months this process could take years, and we will never make a promise That this is what we all be able to get you or this is what will be able to do for you in the end. But we will give you our word That we will do our absolute best To provide you With the utmost respect, And fight All the way to the end to get you everything that you deserve or more. Looking through the record That was one thing that I felt confident about Because numbers don't lie And to be able to build A firm as big and as strong as Cohen and Cohen was then and is today which is even bigger speaks vol. Mr. Adam Lehighton became almost like a friend to me. I could call him no matter what time it was and he would answer. It was like calling a close friend and it made it so much easier for me to get through it all. Adam stood his ground and never backed off. Adam is the definition of a outstanding professional lawyer.
