I have used the Hook Law Center a couple of times for my mother . My mothers situation has ranged from doing the whole medicaid application to special needs trust & so on. I walked into the Hook Law center with a lot of questions, worries and uncertainness about my mothers situation . After my consultation with Shannon Laymon-Pecoraro & Stephanie Washington I was extremely confident , at ease and knew I was at the right place & with the right people in getting my mothers life going in the right direction . They handled EVERYTHING to the T as said from the start . Always prompt with calls , answering questions & never once was I left feeling my questions weren't answered . Mrs. Pecoraro is on point & knows her stuff . This Hook Law Center is top notch & the BEST of the best.

I recently assisted my parents with completing their estate planning, which initially seemed a bit daunting, as my siblings and I live out of state from them. I came across Hook Law Center online and after reading many reviews and information on their site, seemed comfortable with what they offered to further contact them. Upon initial contact, I was very courteously assisted and explained the services offered. I arranged an appointment with my parents, for a consultation while visiting them on a recent visit. The staff at Hook Law Center was great! Andrew Hook was very helpful, carefully and thoroughly explaining everything to my parents and I and offered sound advice and suggestions. I employed HOOK Law Center for a trust and other legal documents. My perception of the dollar value I received was very low, in the end we spent ~$5000,00 on a cut and paste binder. *They didn’t take the time to ensure we had a clear understanding. *They didn’t consider that different people have different levels of knowledge and abilities to understand. *They didn’t take the time to thoroughly read and answer emails/questions which ended up costing us an additional $250.00 to make changes at signing. If they would have answered our question upfront there would have been no change required. Would like to point out that they made several mistakes which had to be changed, but still charge us $250.00 *Even though I explained upfront my job requirements - short notice travel - there was very little consideration giving for that or the holidays when it came to rescheduling meetings. They threatened to charge us $250.00 even though we provided a better than 7 day advance notice. *The staff seemed to get frustrated easly, like we were just wasting their time when really we were just trying to understand. -> We provided HOOK Law Center - at their request - our review/comments and for our troubles they gave us a $10.00 Starbucks card. As a retired Navy family who believe in Honor, Courage & Commitment I would highly recommend you look around before making the same mistakes I did. Thank you.

Back when these guys were Oast and Hook, I talked to one of their lawyers, who is now with the Hook firm after the split. They wanted me to do things regarding my mom that cost a small fortune. It just didn't seem right. I kept looking for another lawyer and found a great one who took care of my needs for 25% of the cost. During this process and since then about 4 other have told me they wouldn't send anyone to Oast or Hook, for the same basic issues I experienced.
