Very unprofessional and they are a rip off. RIP OFF. Top the cake the paralegal called and act like she was so concerned and kindly would refund my money because she know I need it just to wait two weeks for a letter with no refund found that funny unnecessary charges Then they have you pay for credit checks which are free. Receptionist act scary and slow. Found them on Craigslist they say scammers are up there and yes Hampton Roads Legal Services Scammers

Everything went smooth until I had a family emergency and have to leave the country. When going to close my case it did not got smoothly. I paid over 1700 upfront and 325 for a divorce. They TOOK my money and no refund. I emailed countless of times and GOT A BS response only for the divorce and not the bankruptcy. I would like my money back or even a portion of it! This is ridiculous.

HRLS is AMAZING!!! I highly recommend them. I went to another attorney about 2 years ago and they tried to take my money for services that they said were rendered. After proving they weren't I finally received my money back. Since then I was very nervous about finding another lawyer. When I fist spoke with HRLS and had my initial consultation I was sure they were perfect. And I was right! Their staff is compassionate and knowledgeable. From the beginning I was treated with the up most respect. I was always able to get through when calling. They also have the greatest communication!! They worked out an automatic payment schedule that work perfectly for me. All in all this was the best experience and I would recommend everyone to HRLS!

I met with attorney Sebastiana and she was literally AMAZING! I had met with 2 attorneys from different offices prior too and I was still very uncomfortable. By the time I got done with Sebastiana I felt so much at ease and was ready to proceed. She was very patient, thorough and answered every question I had in DETAIL!. Upright Law set me up with you,I paid cash for my case initiating your service. At this time I had been unemployed for more than a year, struggling with serious health issues, no health insurance and lost my house to foreclosure, Upright Law repeatedly requested the same paper work and prolonged my case. By the time you finally got around to my case I finally had employment, but even further in debt. My only day off is Thursday and there was no way your firm would accommodate me with a late appointment or a Thursday appointment forcing me to take a day off work without pay (which I can't afford) . At the appointment to sign my paperwork you have the nerve to tell me YOU DON'T HAVE TO REPRESENT ME , due to one of your employees said I spoke to them rudely. Needless to say, no one apologized to me about the delay of my case, the hassles of lost paper work and financial burdens of extra costs for classes that had to be repeated.I would not recommend your firm to others.

I didn't know that a lawyer that was appointed GAL was automatically a doctor. She covers for a Judge in Virginia Beach Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court. If she is your court-appointed run away from her as fast as you can. Work ten jobs if you have to get money to hire your own.

This place is so unfair! How can a military personnel get legal help for a divorce but not the spouse?! I was told they don't have the means to help me, but helped the service member! Responding to your post . I went to the office for help. I was told you can't help me. How can yall help a Senior Chief in the military?! We have 4 children and I been a stay at home mom.

I recently filed for a divorce and used Hampton Roads Legal Services to do this . Attorney Bradstreet contacted me and went over all the details and the procedure. After that, I was in contact with a para legal named Bridget throughout the process. It was all handled by email except for forms that were notarized which I mailed back to them. Could not have asked for an easier process. I would definitely recommend them!
