The Helton Law Firm is a great group of people. After I was injured at work I tried to deal with workers comp and their doctors on my own, that turned-out to be a big mistake, they did not have my best interest in mind to say the least. The insurance company and their doctors decided that my injury was not cover under workman's comp and denied my claim. I lost my job do to not being able to work. After that I hired Mr. Helton to handle my case. He and his staff were awesome they made the whole process of dealing with the state and workers comp easy. Mr Helton and his associates were very helpful and fast in winning my husband's work injury case. However we have to travel to Austin and once a month to Dallas for his pain management. The insurance company is now denying us our travel reimbursement and to pay for his medication. When I contacted Heltons office I didn't hear back for a week! Then we received a letter stating he was withdrawing from our case because there is nothing else further to be done. SERIOUSLY!!! We need help for the first time in about a yr. And since he's not benifiting he's refusing to help us. We can't afford to hire another attorney so now we are having to go through the division of work comp ourselves. Asked Mr. Helton for help with a traffic ticket I received going through a speed trap on I-75 coming from Atlanta. Mr. Helton was over 90 minutes late to the hearing, after which the Judge had already heard my case. Mr. Helton then proceeded to give the judge inaccurate information, including simple demographics about where I was from and what I do professionally. I asked his office for a return on some of the funds I paid for the lack of service and was ignored. Save your money, go somewhere else.
