Amazing what someone who knows how to get the job done can do for someone like me. It was the best phone call I could have made and I strongly recommend you call Ron Gluck too if you find yourself in need of legal help. I'm a 53 year old cyclist who got "doored" -- riding along a city street between traffic on my left and parked cars on my right, when a driver in a parked car opened his car door into me. The driver's insurance company argued about every cost, including the replacement value of my carbon GF Superfly 100 destroyed in the accident and what my injuries and lifelong disabilities were worth. A lot has been said already about how wonderful the law firm of Breakstone, White and Gluck is, in particularly Marc Breakstone so I will keep this brief. Marc took my case over 2 years ago when I was injured after slipping and severely breaking my ankle which left me with 2 plates and numerous screws as a parting gift. Unfortunately, I still cannot walk properly to this day and I can forget about ever wearing heels again that is for sure. Marc is everything all the reviewers say he is. He is extremely professional, tenacious, passionate, experienced and probably most importantly effective. In the end, Marc settled my case successfully, which is want you want from your attorney, so I could not be happier. My only slight critique, which is different from the other reviews so maybe it is an anomaly, is I did not find Marc to be an effective communicator with me personally (My husband loved him so maybe it is a girl thing). As he puts it, “he is not a hand-holder” so do be prepared to have long swaths of time where he does not check-in or provide any updates. His telephone style was also a bit unique for me. Besides this very minor comment, I enthusiastically recommend Marc and his firm. His assistant Christine is amazing and probably deserves a huge raise! Marc Breakstone rescued my wife’s injury case. After she fell down freshly painted stairs, we hired a lawyer who advertised in the local newspaper. Attorney Marc Breakstone was a godsend. On December 21, four days before Christmas, I found myself in a nightmare. As I stood in a crosswalk walking home in Brookline, a van going over 40mph flew into my body. As I rolled over the van, I immediately felt my life was over. Marc Breakstone is somebody I will remember for the rest of my life, and who my daughter will hear about as she grows up and I remind her over and over again about how she was an amazing fighter. A little over a year ago, I was in a very serious taxi accident as a passenger- and almost 5 months pregnant. I was petrified for the health of my baby. I was completely overwhelmed with having to undergo a spinal fusion because my back was broken over several L sections. And I also had an 11 month old at home. We had literally just bought a house 5 months before, and that accident caused me to just break. I never knew what depression could be like, and I never felt so useless and just isolated in physical pain and emotional anxiety. Another thing- you can google his prior cases outside of his own website. I read cases that he was involved in and there was one in particular that made me realize he was the one who was going to represent me a as a mother. Do your research, and you will see this guy is EXCELLENT. Also, I want to add that I live in NYC...I was hit in MA during a weekend away. So I was nervous having the distance away from someone who is representing me. If by chance that is you- dont worry about it. Marc is literally so accessible. SO: A very hormonal pregnant woman, with a baby at home, was hit by a taxi and had to undergo a 7 hour spinal fusion surgery, learn how to walk again, and deal with the pain of the accident/surgery thoughout her pregnancy while accepting the fact she could no longer lift her one year old at home, bathe him, clean up after him etc., ** I am writing this review about one year from the accident and post settlement. I am still so incredibly emotional about that night and everything that happened....But I am still a bit proud that during this complete disaster and at times, what I honestly thought was depression and a breakdown mentally, I was still able to see that Marc would fight for me. And he did. And he will for you. While my doctors really provided such wonderful physical care...Marc was really there as a rock- I put all my anxiety on his shoulders and he delivered back a secure future. He will forever be part of our family story now. I still feel a calm when I think of him.
