I had a horrible experience with Stewart and Stewart. I was injured in a car accident and the insurance company offerred me $5,000. I turned this over to Stewart & Stewart. A year later, I received a check for $3200. Stewart&Stewart took the original 5000 offer and then took out their fees. I wrote to the owners of Stewart&Stewart asking for an explanation and recieved no response.

Went to the carmel office for assistance and they knew i had a case off top and thanked me since i handed them a pretty much gift wrapped win. However my case was handed off to the greenwood location where they are completely incompetent, lazy and have a total lack of communication. Any update i got i had to initiate contact. When i call i had to always leave a message and no one ever returnes ur call but if you send it in writing...ie...email thats the only way they will respond. The service was so bad i ended up settling for a far less amount than i should have but was tired of the run around my so called attorney's were giving me. I would not recommend them to write my will.

Handled a difficult SSD claim for me. They were up front on the long course of action that would be involved. I got quarterly updates on what they needed from my doctors. If I received information from Social Security and I had questions I would get a call back by the end of the day. I was told what would happen every step of the way. The hardest thing about the legal system is you have to be prepared to wait. If something was happening with my case I heard from them right away. If not you can drive yourself crazy ticking the days off on a calendar. Great job Stewart & Stewart!

The legal advice I was given was direct, easy to follow and understand as a laymen, and most importantly, correct. I hope and wish that I never have to be in this situation again. But. If i am. I called them initially and got great response. I did not return completed paperwork and was contacted by phone and letter which was really efficient. I then called and left voice voicemail for same employee to call me and three days later my call had not been returned. I called again and a lady there offered to help. When I explained the situation she then decided to try to solve the situation for me. I clearly did not want to discuss my circumstances with her and became irritated and frustrated as her advice was not useful. I went on to ask her who she was and what her position was in the company and she accused me of being rude. I asked several times and she refused to inform me. Whoever she was she certainly had no experience of trying to defuse a volatile situation so I just hung up. This person definitely needs some kind of training dealing with the public when a situation gets out of hand. I was not at all rude to her maybe irritated, frustrated and impatient and with a little attitude when she refused to answer my question. I will not be seeking there assistance in the future.

I should have listened to the bad reviews on Facebook and Google. Run and run fast. Money hungry and could care less about your case. Unwilling to work with our creditors. We got debt collection calls daily which told us they were not working with them. Wanted to charge another $1800 on top of their $35k fee for "expenses". Asked for an itemized bill and never got it. We had no communication whatsoever from April - September. Complained to the State Board and our complaint was closed. We left multiple voicemails and sent emails. Nothing from them until we fired them. Showed up at the office to get our file and they got defensive and hostile. Our new lawyer will handle everything from here on out. Thank goodness - S&S was stressing us out! I wish I could leave zero stars.

A local attorney referred us to this office for my father's medical malpractice case. They told us they would accept the case, and we signed some paperwork. They were on his case for a year, and I was very unhappy that no one ever reached out to let us know what was going on with the case. I had to dog them for updates on what was going on. It took them 4 months to get his medical records. It took the 7 months to review his records. Every time I spoke with them, they would tell me something like "x person will be finishing y next week" and then it would be another month, and I'd contact them again only to be told the same thing. Finally they tell me they are working on a plan of action with the attorney. The next thing I know, my dad gets a letter from them saying they are no longer pursuing the case. No reason given whatsoever. They held onto this for a year when we could have been working with a better attorney. They didn't contact me letting me know this, even though I had been the one contacting them consistently. So now the statute of limitations has almost run out because Stewart and Stewart hung on to this for so long and did nothing.
