A few years ago o left a 5 star rating because things started off well. These people have screwed up my case so bad I'm going to have to start over. In may 2017 I had my initial hearing. They had my info mixed up with someone else's saying I worked as a limo driver when I've never even had a drivers liscense, didn't have half of my records. 2 weeks after my hearing my mom was diagnosed with cancer. The judge gave me another hearing in September. Had these people done their job right my mom would have known I was taken care of before she passed away. The day after my hearing in September my mom passed away. When I told the lawyer my mom was in a coma and probably wouldn't make it she was cold and basically indifferent. I will say I want to thank the judge who sympathized with me about my mother. He gave me moments to collect myself and was very understanding of the situation. The lawyer only asked 1 question. I left a bad review on their facebook and about a day later I get a call from them asking me to take it down. I thought that if I did that it would get them to do their job but no. Instead they screw up my case because they got mad I gave them a bad review. I will post as many places as I can how these guys don't care and have no compassion. The commercials they have are false and my bf and my grandma and my mother if she were alive could attest to this. They are one of the WORST lawyers I've ever come across!!! I'm sure they will see this and try to black ball me but if they don't just proves I'm telling the truth. DO NOT GO TO THESE PEOPLE!!!

I had the worst experience, I met with a Atty Twice. Called and called to speak with Melissa Davidson . I never could get pass the asst.. been dealing with the Law Practice for three years and one month before my last appeal. The law firm drop it 30 days before the appeal was to go in effect. So I lose all the way around. I have been very sick for years and still no help from Disability. I think there's a problem.... I have two adrenal tumors, and growing at a fast pace. Still no help sad sad God Bless

Did everything myself the filing of my claim for social security disability faxed everything to the social security office. The Hankey Law Office did nothing for me or my case they didn't have to represent me or even appear in court. I was approved within seven months and was not denied. Said they would refund or give most of there fee back to me because they did nothing for me. I'm a disable veteran homeless and living in transcendental rehabilitation housing for veterans since I had my stroke in Jan. 5th of this year. But they didn't refund anything back to me they kept the fee even when they didn't earn it!!! Pretty sad and dishonorable to take advantage of a disable veteran!!!

My paperwork sat in their office for over a year. Not once did anyone call to ask questions. I didn't meet my attorney until the date of my hearing and then it was for a few minutes. I got there 45-60 minutes beforehand and I didn't get to look over my files before going in, matter of fact, I didn't even know who was handling my case until 2 weeks before. I couldn't go into the office because I live an hour drive away, I just wished someone could have picked up the phone and kept me in the loop. I just didn't get the professionalism everyone else seemed to have gotten from them.

Malinda and my attorney Melissa truly did an exceptional job handling my LTD case. I was in a very traumatic accident outside of work in 2015 which lead to several surgeries and a 2-month hospital stay. I was very thankful I had purchased a short-term and long-term disability insurance plan, however I was naive enough to think they would actually hold up to their end of the deal. I was medically terminated from my employer, and as several months went by, my insurance company became more and more difficult to get a hold of. After over 2 months of not replying, they called to inform me they would no longer be able to offer any assistance. At this point I started calling attorneys and ended up choosing Hankey Law, which was probably one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I never had to go to court or speak with an insurance representative again. Malinda answered every question I had for her and would go into detail to explain the processes to me. At the end of the day Malinda, Ashley, and Melissa were able to take care of my claim for the agreed upon amount with no hidden fees at the end, which unfortunately isn't always the outcome when working with attorneys. I would highly recommend Hankey Law to anyone in need of help.

I had been denied my Social Security the first time about 12 years ago. I gave up, I didn't file an appeal. I did everything I could to work and help with our expenses, to no avail. About 3 years ago I felt forced to try to file again, even encouraged by my Dr. Again, I was denied. But this time I didn't give up. I needed the help and I believed by law I should have it. So I called Hankey Law. I was skeptical at first and my husband was even more so. The wait for a hearing is beyond crazy and there is very little anyone can do to speed it up. During the wait the Hankey team was there to help with my anxiety and impatient fears. They continued to keep my medical information current. We finally went to court, twice. The Hankey Team was there all the way to the end and then some. We won!!! I couldn't just thank 1 or 2 people at Hanky they really are a team. We used to snicker when Mr. Hanky said in those commercials "We hope you never need us, but if do we're here when need us". I'm not sure that's the exact quote but it's 100% true. NOT RECOMMENDED! Hankey Law office never followed through on my case. I had to call the case manager at disability myself. And, Hankey treated me very badly, like I was a nag for calling them to inquire about my case. This office is lazy and they do not put in any extra effort or treat you like an individual person. I would not recommend this law firm. When I went in for my briefing a week before the court date, the attorney put me thru the ringer like I was in trial, treated me like an idiot. I have severe emotional problems that keep me from working. I was left with a STRONG impression that they felt I was not worth their time. The attorney had me crying by the time I left. I have heard the same thing from others who have went to this office. They advertise experience, COMPASSION and justice. Others may have had a good experience with them, mine has been far from it. When the court date came, I was nervous. So I asked the same attorney what to expect. "We went through that at your briefing." We didn't, but they were most certain we had. At the hearing, the judge brought up that I had worked for a brief period. She asked the attorney were they aware of that. This WAS brought up at our so-called briefing. The attorney replied that they were not. I have never experienced such incompetence in my life! My medical information was not up to date, they had done no research on my conditions at all. Nothing to back me up. My case was amended to another date because I had been off from work with other illnesses for the amount of time required. I have been strung along for over 3 years. My date was late last year and I was denied. Early this year I was told that they would appeal, but I was looking at another possible court date in October or November of this year. So far, nothing. If you want to know anything about your case, you have to contact them. I have heard that this office will drag things out as long as they can, to get more money for themselves. I believe it.

File for disability back on 2017 due to a debilitating nuerlogical problem. Hankey law firm was able to get me my disability hearing date ut at the same time this law firm decided to drop me with no reason stated. After calling in they informed they dropped be because I wasnt continuing after care treatment. Well it's kinda hard to go when you cant get state insurance or afford insurance. So they felt compelled to release me. Now I am struggling to find a lawyer by August 22 for my up an coming hearing that they claim they do not know about. Do not use this law firm for nothing they will screw you over for sure I guarantee it. Use any other law firm.than this waste of a space of a law firm.... At first I will admit, I was scared and in doubt with myself if I was taking the right steps on filing my Disability. Filing Disability is hard, it's very stressful because it's such a long process and can put such a burden on yourself financially and then you have to wait for a decision, a decision that can make you or break you. But, that's our government. I was referred to Hankey Law Office from a friend whom used Hankey with her disability case and she was ever so pleased. So I contacted them and nervously went in for my initial visit. I felt very comfortable and was treated with the up most respect. Megan is my "case worker" if you will. She is always prompt on responding to my questions, be it big or small. She is always pleasant and she totally understands how hard this can be on a client. When something new comes in on my case, she is very responsive informing me and what steps needs to be taken. Yes, I'm still fearful and I'm still worried about my disability case, but Megan takes some of that worry away. I meet with a office assistant. I only discussed my case with a lawyer 5 minutes before a hearing. Lawyers didn't know a thing about me. Stage 4 rare cancer, neuropathy, suregeries to remove jaw, teeth, cataract on eye at age 47, reaccuring severe deppression, ptsd, anxiety, bipolor and still denied. If you are unfamiliar with applying for SSI/SSDI it can be a long and lengthy process. I was represented by Hankey Law Office and they were so helpful throughout the whole process! The person is who helped me with my case was Dyneil, who is a case administrator for them. She was very helpful from start to finish. If there was anything she thought I needed to know she would give me all of that information. Any time I called her with questions she always responded in a timely manner which made things much easier for me. Hankey Law Office prepares you for things you may encounter along your journey. For example they provided me with a video of how a hearing could go for my case that way I was not nervous when the day came. They also provided me with a list of questions that the judge could possibly ask to help me gather information I needed and to help my questioning go as smoothly as possible. When it came closer to my hearing day i was able to sit down with Mr. Hankey. We went back over all the information the office had gathered and added anything we needed to. Mr. Hankey is a laid back guy but is serious about getting you what you deserve. He accompanied me on the day of my hearing as well. He was on time and again took the time to go over any last minute details. During the hearing he asked very beneficial questions that I believe helped strengthen my case and get me approved for benefits. Overall, they made me feel comfortable, were very helpful, and met all of my needs! If myself, friends, or family need help in the future I will be recommending Hankey Law Office!

This office was hired back in 2017 for a disability case. In 2019 3 months before my scheduled hearing date this office dropped me at the last second with absolutely no reasoning. They are trying to collect 3600 dollar fee when they dont deserve it as they just leave their clients in the dirt out for dry. I will be contesting the fee they are trying to collect. I recommend the Law Office of Scott D Lewis an Associates. They took me on with less than 2 months before my scheduled hearing date. They saw my disability immediately and won my case for me. I will be advocated for the 6,000 dollars to go to them not this pathetic puke of an office whose just greedy for money, hints to why they are on these extremely early morning talk shows trying to gain clients. Don't fall for an office who will not see the job through. They will leave you in the dirt as quick as they signed you on. Sorry Mr. Hankey I will not contact your office. My case has done been won. After waiting 3yrs, I knew for sure when my court date came, we'd be so together, that we'd walk in the courtroom on the same foot! No seriously, I was so embarrassed during the hearing. My attorney fumbled horribly & even the judge said he wasn't prepared. They really let me down. If only they knew what I had gone through. All the many sacrifices my friends and family made, making sure I got to the doctors, financially supporting me...the many sleepless nights I still have. My case worker Lynn on the other hand was very awsome, very supportive & always followed up. I felt like she really cared and honestly did more than the attorney. You would think as an attorney you'd make sure you build/initiate some type rapport, instill some sort of hope for your clients, build their confidence in you as their representatives, but unfortunately I did not receive this. They have been my husbands case and we went through court and all and they didn't tell us that if he got his ssi then we would not have any money from ssi on both of our checks or anything from neither one and we would have to pay ssi back everything that they gave me since 2015. When my husband case manager ttalked to his atturnay he told his case manager that he would relay the message to his atturnay. Also told social security that they didn't have all the information that's they needed and that we never told them that he was getting a check from his time over seas we told them everything and all hankey looked at was well there is 6000 in the bag. I would not tell anyone to go through them at all because they lie and all they want is money they don't care about anyone

I had an excellent experience with Mr Hankey and Anna at Hankey law office. After fighting for Social Security benefits for nearly four years I was turned down by the Appeals Council. At this point I let my attorney go and he informed me that I would never find a new attorney that would take my case to Federal court. I was very fortunate to have Mr Hankey take my case. He requested that a Federal judge remand the claim for a second hearing with an ALJ. The judge agreed that I had overwhelming evidence and we were given a second hearing. We attended the second hearing this week and the ALJ made a fully favorable bench decision. I am very grateful for Mr Hankey and his staff! I would highly recommend them to anyone who has become disabled and is no longer able to work.

After 3 long years of waiting, I finally had my judicial review. I might as well not of even had an attorney. He literally sat there like a duck, and did not represent me at all. It was a video judge to begin with, which is not recommended, and a few weeks before the hearing I came in to the office for a briefing, which was a complete waste of time! If you need help - Call Them. They are very upfront about if you have a potential case.They explain the time it takes to go through the process and how patient you must be.They let you know costs involved and give you a realistic view on what will happen at the beginning and then all the way to the end. Once my time came, my attorney Ms Marks was very professional. At first I thought everyone was a little cool because it was an emotional time for me, but I realized they needed to keep that step back to give me their best. (And they did give me their best) There really is only one suggestion that I could make and that is better call back response time after a client calls.

This was my second attempt at getting SSDI and I was not hopeful. The lawyers and staff at Hankey listened to me carefully and gave me their honest opinion on my chances of winning (fair at our first consultation). All my questions were answered and when I had follow-up questions after leaving the office, those were answered quickly. I felt very confident by the time we stepped into the hearing room due the prep session with the lawyer when the time for my hearing finally came. My lawyer had a good understanding of my conditions and her questions to me during testimony brought out the ways that my disabilities made it impossible for me to work. We won my case, which changed my life. Because of the efforts of the Hankey Law Office, I can now live a decent and dignified life on the money I rightfully earned. I can't thank everyone involved enough. If I ever need legal representation on any subject that they handle, I will return to the Hankey Law Office again, confident of getting the very best in representation.

I am hopeful this will turn out better than I believe. Extremely hard to contact a "case administrator" when you have questions. So far, so bad. More to come.....Contacted with a hearing date this week. August. Still have not met a lawyer after 2 years. Concerned. More to come....Attended administrative law review on 8/8/18. Personally, it went well and my lawyer was the bomb. As of 10/21/18, I have ZERO clue. Corei is a fabulous advocate. As of 11/8/18 ( 3 months ) I have no decision and no contact with my "law firm". After upwards of 4 years into this , it borders on insanity. Given all that, while "patiently" awaiting an ALJ decision, I think the case administrators make or break these cases. I suspect they are over worked. In my case, I am quite happy with my lawyer ( so far ). Update later as appropriate. Update: SUCCESS!! Fully Favorable decision! Kudo's to Corei Helmer and her staff for a job well done. Waiting on the government is difficult. Waiting in pain is madness. Peace.

I can count on one hand how many times I called their office for help, after they took the case. The staff started being very rude and inconsiderate after there was no way for me to back out of having them for representation. I would call and get the answering machine. And most of the time no call back. The case administer changed several times and how I found out was through calling and the operator telling me. When the decision on my case was received and sent to me, I was asked to call and let them know. How does that sound. Nonetheless, I called and asked to just speak to anyone. I got the answering machine. Frustrating, I called again and again and again. Just trying to do as I was asked and the case administer finally answered and to me did not listen to anything I had said. I called back and asked to speak to an attorney, the same operator said I'm going to transfer you to your case administer. Before I got the opportunity to say no thank you, she clicked over very rude. I don't understand. But I wouldn't recommend any law office that mistreated their clients and doesn't value their clients time. Lastly, I met the attorney one time for less than 5 minutes before the hearing. He was okay, no real complaints there. The attorneys need better help and more considerate and personal operators.

I have had Hankey law office for over 3 years. They don't keep in touch with you or tell you anything. They filed for an appeal lost it after 3 or 4 denials. I'm not working, can't work. I've heard so many negative things about them. I don't know if i will file another appeal with someone else.

I was referred buy a friend to hire Hankey law office now I was nervous but they were very friendly very compassionate they had a heart they really cared about what they did and I honestly would recommend him to anybody because I was in a coma and had a stroke and I get very confused but they sat with me and explained everything to me and yes they had to explain it more than once or twice and never got frustrated with me and they won my case so yes I would recommend them to anybody Hankey law office thank you all of you in the office you guys are awesome and wonderful.

If you have serious issues such as degenerative disc, mild scoliosis, pre mature arthritis, carpal & cubidal tunnel, bunionectomy (no more than a cosmetic surgery) on right foot, still need it on the left foot, a herniated L4/ L5 compressing the sciatic nerve in which Dr even says prognosis is back pain for the rest of my life with a 10 lb limit for a month following surgery then this isnt the place for you. Maybe if you are overweight or have a mental impairment they can help. Don't waist your time. I just wanted to get the ball rolling on what I know is coming. Neuro appt coming up to find the cause of all my issues at 38. It's like dealing with the state insurance I had. While I suffer the same pins and needles pain diabetics feel in their feet state insurance wouldn't pay for me to go to a podiatrist but they would pay for a diabetic to go to a podiatrist, even though my pain actually has to do with my f*n feet. Avoiding this law firm at all cost in the future.

I was notified by the Social Security Admin. the evening before my hearing (for which I had waited nearly 2 years) that Hankey withdrew from my case a few days BEFORE I was in their office to drop off final paperwork! Great stress!! Particularly since Hankey had NOT withdrawn, they had notified the SSA of my appointed counsel from Hankey. I was up most of the night, but a representative from Hankey call me the next morning to right the wrong. My counel showed up, I showed up, all went well. Thank you, Melissa!

No care to the case was given nor did they prepare. I have advised all practitioners and their office of all the issues my mom has but they did not bother to include it in the files when the case was presented. They acted as if it was an imaginary thing. How can a person make up the unrelenting pain and loss of control in their body. This is crazy!!

This team was fantastic! Disability claims are notorious for taking a LOOOOONG time to get to the finish line. However, the people at Hankey persevered through the usual rejections and two appeals hearings. When things were discouraging, Mr. Hankey himself called me and spoke to me about their belief in me and my claim and that they would push through as many appeals as necessary. We recently got a notice of "Fully Favorable," meaning WE WON! I would recommend Hankey to anyone.
