Anyone looking for a great family law attorney needs to check out Nathan Hacker. This guy by far is the best. I came across him via referral and was pleasantly surprised with the way he handled my case compared to the previous attorney I had. Not that my previous attorney was bad, it was just Nate was that much better. He is very detailed oriented, knows his stuff frontwards and backwards, and if you are anything like me and find yourself in this extremely difficult situation of fighting to remain an active father in your child's life you want someone who will give you a game plan. As long as you follow your attorney's advice and are honest with everything (even if you were wrong about something) he can formulate a game plan and be prepared for anything the opposing counsel will throw your way. Even when I was super nervous going into court and worried about certain things that would come up, including lies my ex was stating he assured me we had this under control. I've read some reviews about people complaining about the $100 consultation fee. Believe me, that is going to be the best $100 you ever spend. As knowledgeable as Nate and his team are, trust me, you are in excellent hands. You won't be leaving a ton of messages trying to get ahold of Nate or Sarah (his paralegal) either. I know people dread spending money when it comes to these things, but if you are going to spend it I cannot stress enough that this is where you need to go. I'm a dad who is very involved in his little girls life and when it came time to put some money on the books I never dreaded it because I knew they were working hard and not just creating things to bill you for. These guys are honest and will definitely fight for you. I think we all know how the system tends to favor the mothers, I don't think I would have gotten a better outcome with any other attorney out there. I was satisfied with how my 2 year battle ended and I think it was fair on both sides. Remember going into this, there will be times where you have to give and take with your ex, please just always keep your child's interest at the forefront of your dealings with them. Nate and his team will guide you and will definitely let you know to knock certain things off if you're in the wrong and trust me, that is EXACTLY what you want. If for any other reason I need an attorney for family law or anything else, based off of my experience I will certainly be calling them, and will refer anyone who needs the help to go to this firm.

My daughter was involved in an OWI accident where she hit 2 vehicles. I am a police officer and was very overwhelmed being in the situation where I had to be MOM and make sure my child was represented well. He is a very honest, lays everything out on the table from the get go attorney, which I loved. I don't like people promising thing to get your money. Everything he said he would do he accomplished. Initially Chris did his job and a plea agreement had been reached in 2015. Since my wife has only been able to reach Chris 2-3 times. The terms of the plea agreement have been met but Chris has not submitted any of the paperwork to the court.They have not been notified of payments made, the felony charge should have been dropped in September 2018. I still have a felony on my record and the court is still garnishing my wages for money already paid per the plea agreement. My wife last heard from Chris in November and has emailed him again last week. Still NO response. I would go with any other attorney. Especially if you want your plea agreement settled on time and communication. I only gave one star because I had to. If you choose this office you will pay more money then court ordered to and then he will not inform the court the restitution has been paid in full since July 2018. That is when my wife first started contacting him. The county court house was not showing over half of the payments had actually been made. We will also be filing a complaint with the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission.

False advertising. I spent time researching this firm because the website says free initial consultation. When I called they tried to charge me consultation fees, which I explained they are advertising it for free. They were aware the advertisements and would work it get it waived. A meeting was scheduled on this basis, but then they tried to charge me fees right before the meeting. The classic bait and switch. I would not trust them to do my legal work if they will not even honor their own advertisements.
