The people who I talked to on the phone we're very condescending and dimissive when following up on my injury accident. On one occasion I was told, "as I explained to you before". If something was "explained to me before" I wouldn't be asking the question. Don't speak to me like a child. The firm quickly lost interest in my case after they deemed the accident report didn't offer a slam dunk.

Atkins lLaw really took their time to work on my case and to make sure that I was very happy and pleased with the outcome. I had a workman's comp case with them and they made sure that since the hospital was not claiming negligence on their behalf that they were not responsible for my injuries. Terrible experience, after being in a bad car accident that totalled my car I was told to go see their doctor a hour and a half away from my home. Without seeing what was going on with my case I was advised to see their doctors and physical therapists basically to run up a bill that would ultimately come out of my settlement. I understand this may be a common practice but I got another attorney who got the max settlement without me owing all these Dr bills for unnecessary treatments. Akin attorney's actually sent me a 1600.00 bill for what, calling to see if I went to their doctor please.

I clerked at Ankin Law for a year during law school. The atmosphere is always positive and the experience has been invaluable! The attorneys as well as the legal staff are extremely approachable and are always willing to lend a helping hand in any matter. With that being said, the attorneys and legal assistants do whatever they can to help their clients. This includes dropping whatever they are doing to assist a client in their concerns and they will even stay well into the evening until these issues have been resolved. This is important and I have found this to be the essential reason as to why the Ankin Law attitude of putting their clients first has become so contagious throughout the firm. Very bad to get any help if your looking for any advanced compensation when in need they are not who to go with. Plus I tried to get a loan at another place and they would not give the information of my settlement offer. Very upset actually looking at the Chicago Bar association for further advice. They don't update with you. You have to call to be getting information and the last attorney from firm helped me well. But like I said their is no compensation advances or allowed outside from them. Their legal assistants never know anything don't bother calling or asking about your case because they don't have any information but theyll give you an attorneys voicemail for you to complain to.
