I had a mediation on a legal case there in 2012. I've never even had anything legal wise and am not the sue-type, so when I was defrauded of many thousands of dollars, I FIRST wanted to mediate! Although the mediator was EXCELLENT, and seemed very unbiased and fair- to me, the methods were odd. I never got to talk with the parties involved, as our 'stories' were taken seperately. I never heard about any resolution nor offers to resolve the case. My attorney has been vague and then went on vacation so? I'm left hanging, not knowing what is going on. I was the person filing for mediation and got nothing out of it--absolutely nothing. It cost 3k! in hourly attorney fees and splitting the mediation costs! It took HOURS taking each story seperately; meanwhile we WAIT, tick-tick lawyer hourly rates add up! OUCH!
