My personal experience with this law firm was very upsetting. Due to the poor communication from the attorneys and the fact that they switch out the attorney over looking our case 3 times. My husband and I started the process in the Houston office location, it was closed a couple of months after we had already started our process with them. When being on schedule to meet with our case officer from USCIS, they wanted us to pay for an outrages fee to get them to come to Houston; as there main office is in Miami. When receiving the call from the attorney representing Jorge River's law firm he stated "I would advise for me to attend because of the issues with the stamp on your husbands passport". We tried hiring a different attorney here in Houston, all other law firms were refusing to take over, as the appointment was already on schedule with USCIS. We needed an attorney for legal advise as we were aware of the issues with the stamp that was given at the point of entry. Two other law firms advise for us to show up to the appointment and if any issues arise to take note, as they will try to assist with what they could. When attending to the appointment with our case officer from USCIS, I did let her know that no attorney was present and if we were required to have one; the young lady responded with "no the questions are for you and your spouse not for your lawyer to answer." It was a blunt response but I felt a little relief knowing that we were not required to have an attorney present during the interview. After the interview concluded she did let us know that the stamp that was placed on my husbands passport at time of entry was insufficient to approve the case. We then reached out to one of the law firms that we had visit when wanting to hire a different attorney, they gave us some advise and created an appeal to the stamp by filing through the quilantan entry and creating an affidavit . After all documentation was sent out we received and approval from USCIS thought the USCIS portal. I kept track of the card, unfortunately it was mailed out to Jorge Rivera's office in Miami. When I called to ask about the card, they did let me know that it was a $20.00 fee so they could mail it out to us. I provided the payment information on a Wednesday and they took it out the following Friday, it took their office 7 business days to process the payment and mail out the card. When I called to ask why was this happening, I was rerouted with a different conversation, telling me how happy they were to have assist me in the case; that they were finally done and had succeeded.
