I seriously thought about leaving a review but I think it's necessary and people should know.
My name is Jennifer.
My husband Pedro and myself had a Consultation appointment on May 2018 and Amber was the one that we saw.
My husband's final Immigration Court was coming on August the 1st and we brought to the appointment all the evidence that we had gathered for it.
She barely looked at the evidence and told us that there was no hope at all, and that she was pretty sure my husband was going to be deported. My kids have ptsd and she said that PTSD was not enough to prove extreme hardship on the case; she even said that 99 % of chances were my husband was going to lose the case. We were shocked and discouraged! I asked her for different options like appeals, prosecutorial discretions etc and I remember that she laughed at my face and said that in these times with this President prosecutorial discretions were things from the past.
Thank God friends from us told us not to give up and get a second opinion, but we were so sad and discouraged thinking: An immigration lawyer just told us there's no hope! We wanted to give up and we were so sad and scared.
We listened to our friends and we hire DMCA Causa Immigration Law Firm we had our Court and we won the case! I will never forget the words of the Judge when she said " This family has suffered a lot, specially those kids" and think about when Amber said that PTSD was not enough.
I have read good reviews about her, but those reviews are about applications like ( citizenships, green cards etc) and that requires filling up paperwork and sending them to immigration, that's just a process that a paralegal could do; it doesn't involved litigation or defending clients; in my opinion that's what a real Lawyer should be reviewed about.
I hope she can read this review and think about what she could have caused to us if we would have listened to her.
There's a difference in giving your opinion as a Lawyer after you see the evidence than to almost predict an outcome without even seeing all the evidence and talk lightly about an issue so serious like PTSD without knowing.
Amber said that PTSD was not enough and that there was a 99% of probabilities my husband was going to be deported. Again we won the case and PTSD was the reason why my husband was able to stay.
