I retained the law office of Fromm Smith and Gadow to represent me in a divorce. I was told that my case would be difficult and lengthy and was required to put a $20,000 retainer in escrow. My husband decided not to fight and did not even retain a lawyer, I pretty much settled the divorce with his and was billed $8100 upon completion of my divorce. Fromm Smith and Gadow is refusing to return the balance of my retainer stating that it was non-refundable. They have kept over $11,000 for no services rendered and still refuse to even consider retuning some of my money. This is disguising and terribly unprofessional especially taking advantage of those so vulnerable during such a difficult time. Watch what you sign and possibly look further toward a more ethical law firm!

I needed an attorney for my child custody case and was extremely scared, nervous and uneasy while starting this process. I have never been to court before and this being my first and only child, I wanted someone to place my full confidence and trust in with my sensitive and personal situation. As soon as attorney James Cork II took over my case all of my anxiety was gone. I am happy to say that I made the right choice with him. He has been very thorough while collecting and reviewing my documentation and extremely professional when explaining my options and the steps he was taking while representing me. Gave her a 30,000 retainer. She disobeyed my instructions and used it up in 3 weeks. Could not even make it to trial. All these good reviews are fake, this woman is a criminal. Massive over billing and collusion with Todd Franks, another criminal attorney. These people have no integrity and line their pockets at the expense of families. She is a terrible person.

Jenny Gadow is a top notch family attorney. I found her accommodating and very easy to work with, she is also exceptional in the court room. She really shines!! When you need a family attorney your are typically trying to negotiate two forms of stress, Financial Stress and Emotional Stress. Let's face it, no attorney is going to keep that financial stress from being parked right up there at or around a 10, not a good one anyways. But on a scale of 1-10, Jenny really helped me keep my emotional stress down to a one or zero. She is worth a look and if there were 6 or 7 stars I'd rate her that high, but alas, only 5 stars!! Jenny is great! To choose anyone else you are doing yourself a disservice.

Divorce and a custody battle can be a very scary time. When I filed for divorce, I had 2 young boys and was 3 months pregnant. My children's father had a history of dependency issues with drugs and alcohol, and a case with CPS for child neglect [which he had called on himself for leaving our 2 year old home alone]. After counseling and many other attempts to save the family I had had enough for my sake and my children's well being. This law firm had come highly recommended to me and I retained Kathy as my attorney. She presented herself as classy and professional, while my ex husbands attorney was a bull dog and was willing to play dirty. For the hearing for the Temporary Orders, I was told by Kathy to agree to everything my ex was asking for when it came to custody because we could always change it for the final orders. However, even after documenting all the "no shows" and late visits from their father, when it came time for the final orders I was told it's too late and just to "work with him". Also, she told me that if we had gone back before the judge he would get "50/50" custody, and it would just cost me more money. After the Temporary Orders, I was left with 100% of our joined bills because my main concern was only for the children's safety and custody issues, so we didn't "court order" an agreement of our bills. I was not advised that this could be an issue until I was screwed over financially. I spent 8K with this law firm to agree to everything the opposing party asked for in the divorce. Meanwhile, I am forced to hand my children over to a neglectful drug addict every week. If you're looking for someone to fight for you in the best way for your family, look elsewhere.

I am posting this review after working with Jenny for over 4 years. She was highly recommended by a friend and I am so BLESSED that I was able to hire her for my divorce case. Jenny is extremely smart, on point, always organized, explains everything to T.. and never lets you panic. She is very honest and if she thinks that there is something that she can't do or it's the wrong choice she will never let you make a mistake and shoot yourself in the foot! I love Jenny, and there isn't anyone I would ever replace her with...and trust me I have worked with other lawyers in a different area of practice....I would of hired Jenny but too bad she only practices family law.
