The Law Offices of David Michael Cantor were great! Initial free consultation (roughly 30 minutes) was very informative. Met with David Maletta who was very aggressive and eager to learn about my case. I never felt like I was rushed or taking their time away from something else and I was able to ask any and all questions I wanted. I went home and thought about it (as I met with another law firm as well) and hired DMC to represent me. My case was handed to Omer Gurion, who took over as my attorney. The whole case lasted about 9 months from start to finish and we had a meeting almost every month to discuss the case and what we wanted to do. Scheduling was a little difficult at times due to the attorneys being quite busy and since I travel a lot for work but we made it work. It’s also hard to call your specific attorney, again since they are quite busy, but their legal assistants will pass along the messages as well as provide any updates that they have. Omer was outstanding! He found some details in the case that he thought were a good argument and we were able to get the result we wanted. I HIGHLY recommend The Law Offices of David Michael Cantor for anyone!

I was a victim of severe domestic violence and these greedy scumbags screwed me out of what little I had to protect my children with. They sold me an attorney, Felicia Schumacher, they claimed was "a bulldog in court" for a $5,000 retainer, reassuring me the whole way. One month later they had drained almost $4,000 of it pushing papers and making phone calls and, oops, somehow forgot to file and my case was dismissed. They had to file to have it reinstated and my "bulldog" lawyer disappeared from the firm with no explanation. I had no retainer left, no progress on my case and no lawyer. They said for another $5 grand they would put me with a new lawyer to re-evaluate my case. I told them I wanted my money back since they did literally nothing and I had to start from scratch. They refused. When I disputed the charges with my credit card, they fought it and of course won. After writing this review they have tried to say it wasn't them- absolutely ridiculous. The boardroom in their pictures is the room I gave them the money in! If they want me to alter my view of them, they can give back the money they stole that was supposed to protect my children or do the job they never did.

Over priced and under performed. Did the very minimal for the 15K they charge. Late to court on 3 of the 4 court dates and totally unprepared. They are absolutely the worst in a criminal charges case. Staffed with former prosecutors who definitely side with the prosecution side. They absolutely refused to do a polygraph to see who was telling the truth do to the fact it was an off duty Mesa detective. I don't recommend this firm at all.

I think that should be enough since everyone else is charging about 2 to 3 saying they don't see the evidentiary support. "Maybe you can use a credit card." "Maybe put up collateral for the money." He is not charged! Why not just rep him in admin hearing and then we can go from there?" "No, it is all or nothing." Some don't have what your high profile list of clients have. No matter what option you provide. It is clear that there is only help if you are rich. It's okay...the universe will help us.

My mother and father in law hired them for my son. Michael Alarid is the attorney handling the cases. Yes, more than one. I am prayerful about a great resolution. A few days ago, I had a consultation regarding yet another charge the state has made against my son, one I KNOW he is is innocent on...You know, rack up the charges, rack up the money. I get the game now. Not a game I ever wanted to or wished to understand. But, here I am playing along. The truth is, my son is an amazing person....He made some bad choices, but none with which he is charged. Upon reading the lengthy police reports, I am sickened. I am sickened about how officers, whom I respected, twist words to profit our prison systems. It's a disgrace. As is our justice system. Really, when hiring an attorney you must remember that LIFE is a game, and court proceedings are a game. It's a "Russian roulette" for your family, but to them (the legal firms, courts, and prosecutors and officers) it's more like a game of chess....KING MATE. I do respect the Law Office, but I am overwhelmed by the fees, and the continued fees just to maintain your innocence (any firm I am certain). As a teacher, I could never afford to protect myself. It's sad. In this State, more specifically, County, I recommend that you hire an attorney because a "free one" works just like that...It's a disgrace. I will update the status of this review when I hear of any offers, or when they are able to MAKE the prosecutor (works for the county, remember...and jails and prisons are for profit...so vote wisely) understand the reality of the situation. Not once has he spoken to officers, yet the report says he did. So, so shameful. Shame on us (Citizens) for allowing this to continue. In any case, in the moment I am happy with his representation. I don't know what has been done, honestly because we have yet to have a hearing regarding the actual charges and offers. I will be absolutely disgusted if he is convicted. (the cost factor is why only 4/5, it's not personal).

I recently had an issue that led me to consult this law office. I wasn't charged with a major felony or anything along those lines, but I did need some guidance and advice regarding my situation. So I made an appointment and went in not knowing what to expect. I was nervous to say the least. But my worry was misplaced because the people who work in this office are courteous and professional. I was led into an attorney's office where I spoke to an attorney for about 40 minutes. He didn't pass any judgment and he spoke to me at length about my options. I was facing very serious charges that if successfully prosecuted would have permanently affected my ability to provide for my family and participate in society as a citizen with full civil rights. I initially was unsatisfied with the different attorneys I interviewed, some were very greasy and unprofessional, others were ambitious but clearly lacked the support staff and experience I felt was required. Of course by this time with so much on the line I had done my own homework and had a decent understanding of what I was facing and the process involved so being fluffed wasn't at all appealing to me. I eventually had a interview with attorney David Maletta and I immediately felt reassured. He was obviously a very experienced /knowledgeable attorney and we had a frank but encouraging discussion covering specifics about the process. He even knew specifics about a officer involved in my case right off the top of his head which was very impressive. Attorney Christine Whalin from the very beginning of the pretrial hearing process was absolutely in her element. She was extremely organized, lucid and a excruciatingly methodical litigator. Not once during the hearings did she lose control of the narrative. At one point I almost felt bad for the prosecutor. Almost. It was clear to me that Christine loves being in court so when the decision on a motion came back to dismiss I wasn't caught off guard but relieved beyond explanation nonetheless. I cant thank the Law offices of David Michael Cantor enough. Especially Christine Whalin for all of her hard work and commitment. Public defense was never an option, so it came down to choosing between attorneys with no support staff or resources to save a few bucks or a full service firm with talented attorneys and extensive resources. I recently contacted mr. Michael Canton office in hopes of possibly retaining an attorney to help with my brothers legal matters. Once i calling this firm the woman who answered the phone asked me for my name and my brother name. then she proceeded to tell me about an appointment that was made for the tenth of February I then proceeded to explain the situation to her as to why he couldn't make the appointment due to not being in the state and why he was currently unable to make it himself when she cuts me off and transferred me to an attorney named David whom was very short with me as well almost like stonewalling me and refusing to give me any form of legal help or advice and when I proceeded to ask how much for his service still wouldn't tell me anything other we can go to the jail and talk to him but it's gonna cost you 2,500 and when I asked overall cost he wouldnt even give a ball park number so I said 25,000 30,000 he finally said way more then that and at this time I ended the phone call if you ask me these people are rude none considering and just a flat out joke all about profit

I spoke to Timea R. Hargesheimer about coming in for a consult. She began by asking me about my situations (I have two separate issues for which I need council). I tried to start explaining the history of my case, and was interrupted with, "Never mind. That's all in the past. We can't do anything about that , so why don't we just focus on now." I asked about the retainer, at which point she stated for the first case would be $4500, and for the second case $5000. When I asked her why it was so high, she told me, "Because we have 70 years of experience and you get what you pay for. We are the best." I told her I would not at this time be able to cover $9500, at which point she changed her tune and told me that I would need to come in for the consult because it could be up to $9500, but that it would be up to the attorney I spoke with if (s)he charged both retainers, or less. I told her ok, I would do the consult. She then went off on a tangent and started speaking to me about legal aid resources, saying she could give me some numbers if I wished. I told her I did not want to go that route, at which point she stated that she wasn't exactly sure what I expected her to say then. I told her I expected that we would schedule the consult and she began to argue with me about whether or not I said I would go ahead with the consult. Shortly after hanging up with her, I received another call, this time from a man named either Andrew or Anthony. He stated that since I had been on the phone with Timea for 20 mins, he just wanted to know if there were any other questions he could answer. ??? (I'm thinking in my head, so does that mean I get 10 mins on the phone with you and that's my consult?) I told him no and that I had already had a less than pleasant conversation with Timea and I had not been impressed with her. He again asked about my cases, and after a brief and again rather tense and argumentative conversation, told me that I didn't have a good enough reason to pursue the action I was requesting. (Maybe if he had stopped to listen and learn about the previous case, he would have thought differently.) Overall, both attorneys I spoke with were arrogant, brusque, indifferent, uninterested, apathetic and condescending. If you're looking for an attorney who is actually interested and caring, DO NOT hire the Cantor Law Group.

Horrible I paid $5000.00 I got a urinating in public charge. They set me up with a attorney. She didn't show up to court once. A different court date she canceled the court date and didn't notify me so I showed up stressed out and wasted my day I called off work for. I call to speak with David Michael Cantor I felt my attorney was not representing me or doing her job I was told by the managing attorney David J. Maletta I was not allowed to speak with David Michael Cantor he only deals with the big cases I would need to spend 10's of thousands of dollars for him to hear me out. Then my attorney quit mid-case I felt horrible. They assigned Elizabeth Mullins to my case so here I am sitting in her corner office hoping and praying she goes to court I lose $5000.00. I get the same exact charge I would have without a attorney. I think if you put your name on your business paying clients should have the ability to speak with you. Go somewhere else.

Met with David and was give general information. Was then given a different lawyer, which was expected. This lawyer was very difficult to get a hold of and had limited patience for our question. He also lead us to believe that the fines included all costs. We did not get the bond back which is standard for the courts but we were not informed creating a difficult financial situation. This was compounded by the fact the more costs were to be added by the courts as a requirement. Not that this is the lawyers roblem but when trying to discuss all options this was minimized. We would have made completely different decisions had we been given all the information we requested. The process was very rushed and we felt as though we were a constant burden rather than a client. Would recommend to all future clients to insist all questions and avenues are addressed before hiring.

I got to tell you I don't know an attorney of any law office that would directly LIE to their client of what his choices are... Now I do. The representation of Michael Alarid of Law Offices of David Michael Cantor was pretty mediocre to say the least. David J. Maletta seemed very intelligent and knowledgeable and could have PROBABLY had a better concern. 1st of all, the attorney that represented me pretended to make it seem as if I had a "sweet deal" by taking a plea. And on top of that the prosecutor waited till the day before pre-trial to notify them, in-turn notifying me. It was nothing I could not have accomplished myself. I say this because I have done it before. 2nd: When the Pre-Trial hearing took place HE did not show personally, in-turn meaning that someone who NEVER looked at my file until he arrived at court is suppose to represent me telling me "Mr. Alarid got caught up in something more important." I'm really scratching my head at this point. 3rd: Because Mr. Alarid failed to look over my file record which I DID disclose to the firm that this will be my 2nd DUI offense. In-turn I took a plea not knowing the repercussions from the DMV results about pleaing to another Reckless. (now I know) 4th: Mr. Alarid directly LIED to me about a client being able to be present with their attorney in the DMV court hearing. Either I not show up and let him represent me and i sit outside the hearing downstairs or I dont show up. Why would an attorney tell their client that??? Now he says that he didn't say that. But now that he says different it lets me know i should audio record all my phone conversations from now on. Although I have learned my lesson from all this.. All in all, it was a complete waste of $5,900 for a result a could done completely myself. (the managing attorney delightfully waived the remaining $100 balance at the time for my dissatisfaction.) On the other hand, these results have made me angry to the point I have remained sober and have taken the civil duty to learn law all on my own. In traffic stops and in due process proceedings because it ultimately depends of what YOU HAVE DONE, WHAT EVIDENCE YOU HAVE PRODUCED, the steps the officer has taken and what RIGHTS YOU HAVE INVOKED or WAIVED from the time you have encountered a Peace Officer. THATS where its crucial. My advice: if you do trust an attorney, go to the municipal or city court house first asking for a copy of the complaint (should have already been givin a copy upon initial encounter) and officer's report and possibly any other testimonies (there IS a difference) demanding your right to notice. Then take that to an attorney to see where you stand before you waste/ spend your money. P.S.: An officer's goal no matter the reason he stopped you is to possibly culminate a situation into 2 possible scenarios; a DUI bust or drug bust if given the opportunity.

I paid $2500 for an “in custody visitation” for my son. I talked to them the day before he arrived at Marricopa Co. and twice more while he was in there and nobody ever showed up. They also missed a hearing they told me they would be at to represent him. They quoted me $55k for a case that 3 other firms were between 20 and 25K. When you go in and talk to them you get an articulate and professional attorney. However, Many reviews stated when you go to court you get an inexperienced attorney that knows nothing about your case. I expressed concerns about the attorney swapping. He told me they work by committee. I told them “We had a complicated case and I would only be interested if we could be limited to one or two attorneys.” I was on the phone when I said that. He immediately just hung up on me without saying a word. Very immature and unprofessional. However, I did ask for a refund and was granted one for the $2500. So they get 2 stars instead of one.

These guys are the best. Daniel Hutto was my attorney. I was wrongly accused of DUI when I was actually in my car, not in motion trying to figure out how to get home safely. We had two disputes going on at the same time. The first dispute was a criminal dispute which was resolved by a letter from Cantor law Group which pointed out the ridiculousness of the charges which were dropped. The second was a partition for dissolution of marriage with several charges of theft and abuse. All of the charges were false and unfounded. The Lawyer in the Marriage case let the Judge tell him and we overheard, ( I have already made up my mind on how I am going to rule on this case but you go in and see if you can come to a settlement) Now how can a judge do his job if he has not heard both sides of the dispute. How can Jarred stand their and let this go on. Could it be that even though from the outside it looked like Pam was wrong when in reality she did nothing wrong. Do we want to judge or do we want to see justice done . Pam was willing to take a lie detector test to prove that all the accusations were false. So on the second, Pam was not given a fair chance to see justice given to her. The lawyers that took the case after Jarred left treated Pam as poorly as the Judge, just as if she was wrong and they had to defend her. Did they prejudge her to. Now she is on her own trying to right all the wrongs, with no money and no support and yes it was his money, but it was his doing that brought all this to him. Pam could have gone to prison for several years had she not pulled that money out of her account. Now after over $35000.00 she is on her own.I think that justice could still be done here if this law group would step up to the plate. Their is still $225000.00 on hold which could be used for her defense. All we need is some truth here and this could end like God would have it end.
