Great experience with Pentlarge Law Group! I was injured in a car wreck and reached out to them right away. They arranged a meeting with me right away to handle my case. Without a doubt a true team of professionals who handled my bad situation well. Insurance companies are not fun to deal with and it makes it more difficult when you don't know how to speak their language or understand their processes. I am thankful the pros stepped in at Pentlarge and took care of me.

Dear Reviewers, Recently, I was reading some of the reviews published and noticed a couple negative responses. I felt inclined to defend the level of professionalism, honor and integrity these men represent. I have personally and professionally known Jim Pentlarge and Bob Jurasek for over 20 years. They represented me in a personal injury case where we successfully recovered in excess of 100,000 in damages. Currently they are representing our extended family in a wrongful death suit due to a drunk driver. The Pentlarge Law Group is a TEAM of Professionals I hold in the highest regard. Mr. Jurasek rescued my case from near "statute of limitations" death, which is presumably what the red light runner's insurance adjuster was hoping for with their repeated stalling and delaying tactics. With less than three months remaining on that deadline, Mr. Jurasek speedily got all of my medical bills paid in full. I worked with Dylan Buchholdt, first of all getting him to return a phone call is a miracle. 99% of the time you're force to talk to his incompetent secretaries. Who have no idea what's going on, I went 6 months without getting a call from them. To put it bluntly Mr. Buchholdt is like a used car salesman, once you sign the contract he couldn't give a crap about you.

I known and actually worked with (unlike most of the reviewers here from what I'm seeing) Pentlarge Law group for years now. What I can say to anyone reading these reviews, is that this is an incredibly upstanding law firm. Absolutely the most professional and experienced in Personal Injury Law I've seen (and I've dealt with a lot in Anchorage). They've always been forthcoming with me, and up front. And, they'll go the extra mile considering that you do in fact have a glimpse of a legitimate case. If you come to them with something unreasonable, they're likely to turn it down as it's not worth anyone's time and not something that is worth pursuing. I'd much prefer this type of practice than the type that takes everyones money, and does not perform. Time and resources are limited, and all businesses need to be smart. My guess, is that most of the reviewers here, either are mad that this law firm didn't take their case (likely due to the fact that this isn't a get rich quick shady type of law firm), or that they expected more than what was reasonable. At any rate, I'd refer my friends and family to the time and time again (and I have). If you want the best in Anchorage, and a team that will get you a larger settlement than anyone else I've personally seen, than this is the pace to go to. But again, it's my experience that they'll only take legitimate cases. So I'd judge them on that, and not on those that they declined to work with. Common sense is your friend here.

I went and met with Dylan and Marie at Pentlarge, who were very friendly and listened to my case. I have never been in this kind of position needing an attorney and had no idea how the process worked. They said they could take my case and gave me the paperwork to fill out, Marie came and picked it up at my house and I thought we were on our way. I had realized I made a mistake on one page so I tried calling to check in and see if I needed to fill out a new page or not but never heard back. I left 4 or 5 messages at the office trying to get a hold of either Marie or Dylan and never got a phone call back after almost two months. I got a call a few days ago from my insurance provider who said that no attorneys had contacted them. I'm very disappointed, I know our case wouldn't bring in a lot of money for the law group, but I really wish I could have gotten a phone call back at least explaining that maybe they were too busy or they didn't want to continue with our case. Instead I was just completely ignored even though I was told they'd take the case and they had me sign the contract papers. Marie and Dylan were very polite when I spoke with them, but on a business level, the way I was ignored was not a sign of quality professionalism - all I needed was a 2 or 3 minute phone call.

DO NOT GO TO PENTLARGE LAW GROUP! I went to pentlarge law group after being rear ended 4 times in between 2004 and 2006.I ended up being awarded a pittance for the lifetime injuries I incurred. I've had 2 spinal surgeries since and will need more in the near future. I've lived in constant pain since the accidents and will have pain for every single day for the rest of my life. Dylan Bucholdt actually said to me when he knew how unhappy I was when we signed final papers as I was leaving, "next time break a bone". NEXT I'M WRITING ADN AND POSTING TO THE NEWS!
