Mr Merrill's name was given to me by a mutual friend who described Mr Stephen as an intelligent lawyer with an athlete’s competitive spirit. I had a personal injury case that I decided to work on my own. I settled with the insureds company at policy limits and moved onto my own under insured drivers policy. I went as far as I could but they continued to offer me quite a bit less than I knew I was entitled to. I was also dealing with my health insurance and their subrogation lien. I found Mr. Merrill while researching how I should proceed with my situation. He emailed me back and offered me a free consultation even though my situation was unusual as I had already gotten so far on my own. When he reviewed my case he agreed to work with me and offered to work for anything that he was able to win beyond the settlement offer I had most recently been offered as well as a percentage of whatever he was able to reduce from my subrogation lien. So he wasn't going to touch what I had already worked for myself. When it turned out that my subrogation lien was not reduced as much as we had hoped he agree to take an even smaller percentage. I consider Mr. Merrill to be a man of honor and integrity despite the most common stereotypes of attorneys. I would without a doubt look to him should I ever need any assistance with any legal matters. Even if they were not under his scope of the law I would most likely ask him first.
