Ask the court how someone could use the law to manipulate and persuade them with no evidence due to the other person's criminal record. then told the we have the state's star Witness and is willing to give a testimony if wish to proceed. An OUI, as the MUNI calls it, was new territory for me even after the accumulation of my 60 years on this planet, well over 20 years in the military and combat deployments did not prepare me for this. How can you prepare for this? A night out of adult celebration caused a miscalculation on judgment that professionals like Ben and Monica know how to respond to. I was frantic for help. I found his web site, read his topnotch reviews, submitted my information online and received a phone call from Ben personally on a Saturday. Say what you want about lawyers but for him to call me on a weekend really took me back and I was very impressed. Ben and I had our initial meeting where I found him professional, interested in me as person, understood that people make errors in judgment and I could tell he was already planning the case. Afterwards Ben got right on it and obtained my temporary driving privileges immediately. From that point on there was not much that could be completed until the MUNI submitted everything so Ben could figure out where we stood. Even though Ben did not immediately return my emails or texts he did so in a timely manner. I had to realize, with Monica’s help, that I was not the only salmon in the Kenai River and Ben had other clients that he needed to respond to also that had priority over me as they had court dates at the time I was messaging. Yes, I got a bit exasperated in having to wait several hours to get a response but Ben got back to me and fully answered my questions. His paralegal Monica was instrumental in calming my stress and she was amazing in knowing what to say that greatly relieved my anxiety. That massive, overwhelming, full screen blip, on the radar, soon diminished to a point where it was manageable and became more of a nuisance when I decided to notice it and that was due to Monica. I allowed Ben to do his magic on my case and when we were ready we met with for a game plan. Regardless on the outcome of my case, yes, a no contest plea, I am so very happy on how Ben handled my situation as his knowledge on the OUI laws were thorough and impressive. On a side note, the most paramount item I learned is that you must remember, even though your stress seems insurmountable, you must allow the system to take its course of action and regardless of how you feel that the earth revolves around you at that point, remember IT TAKES TIME, be as patient and know there is nothing that any lawyer can do about it until the system does its thing. Ben knows the beauracacy of the system and made several calls to augment the process and I got every break possible. Ben will obtain a temporary license for you so you can have a normal life, other than the stress and embarrassment. I was also impressed that Ben’s name also means something in the OUI community, as I was able to receive discounts to the three day monitoring, and extension of driving privileges and IID install to my vehicle. My bottom line is that I can not give a stronger recommendation for anyone selecting Ben Crittenden to represent you in an OUI case. You will not be sorry for your decision. I wasn’t.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend Ben Crittenden to anyone. From my experience, he just collects retainer fees and doesn’t do any actual work to defend his clients. “We’ve” been fighting my criminal case for over 15 months, and I’m no closer to a resolution of any sort. The money I put up for a retainer fee was a complete waste. Moral of the story, be very careful on who you choose to defend you for any criminal case....because it makes a huge difference ...... Guess the old saying goes, no one is going to care about your life more than you do!!! So be aware and selective when retaining a lawyer!

Hello. I would give them 10 stars if possible. I received a phone call that my daughter 24, had been arrested for Domestic Violence & Family Violence. It was her first time ever being in trouble with the law. She was married and lived on the JBER Base in Anchorage, AK. I live in CA. I didn't know how to search for an attorney in Alaska to help me. Going online I searched and searched for criminal attorney's. I noticed that Ben Crittenden had excellent reviews. I left a message online for a consultation and within hours a soft spoken Paralegal named Monica called me back. She answered all my questions while I took notes. She offered to speak with my daughter on base to make her feel more comfortable. My daughter was terrified. Not knowing her rights, afraid they would take her kids away. I told my daughter if she liked her we will hire them. My daughter said she will know she likes her by her handshake. They met and my daughter said she liked her and her handshake was genuine. After signing papers and paying the retainer there was nothing Monica wouldn't do for us. She answered our texts messages, emails and always kept us in the loop. Our case was dismissed and charges were dropped this month. I dont know exactly what Ben Crittenden did but whatever it was, it worked.
