AV Architects and Builders renovated my home completely. It was a five star experience. What I appreciated the most was the fact that they took full charge of the project from A to Z. I was consulted on major decisions and always kept abreast of any issues that arose. Francisca accompanied me for all purchases i.e kitchen, bathrooms, etc. I would highly recommend them. We engaged AV Architects and Builders to help us add space to our home for a growing family. While other builders suggested additions, the AV team's creativity showed us how we could reconfigure our layout and free up valuable, unusable space without the need for additions. It was amazing. The money we saved from avoiding expensive additions, was put into upgrading of appliances, flooring,etc. The end result was stunning. AV Architects should be a "must consult" if you're thinking of a home redesign or building project.

AV Architects, Francisca and Tony, have assited me over the past 15 years to renovate my home through the different phases of my life. Our first renovation was an amazing great room, sun room and bathroom in addition to siding and a new roof and carport and a spectacular deck that still looks exactly the same so many years later. My second phase was a beautiful kitchen and flooring 10 years ago also looking brand new today. My most recent phase was a spectacular new master bath and master bedroom and a wonderful, fun lounge/bar area. Also very important energy efficient features that no one can see but most definately feel. Crawl space and attic insulation that have cut my bills in half. Over the last decade I have helped hundreds of families build homes for their families, and I have seen the same consistent problems come up. Francisca and her team have created a model completely different from how other builders operate which resolves many of those problems. The first issue is often when a family hires an architect they may have excellent design, but they don't understand the way their vision of the design impacts the price of construction, so the family may end up paying the architect to design something they fall in love with and deserately want to build, but when they bid the project out to builders they find out they cannot afford it. They end up wasting time and money redoing the plans and then are disappointed with all the compromises they need to make from the original design. When you work with AV Architects and Builders they understand your budget and can help you prioritize your goals as you design the home with all features you want in mind. The other primary issue I see is that clients are committing to working with a builder without understanding what they are actually getting in their home. It is common to have allowances, but since Francisca and her team actually walk their clients through every step of the selections process and accompany every design appointment they can help clients get absolute clarity on this up front. On that note, their clients have a true selections and design concerige that is their to take on the burden of spending the time with every piece of the selections process. A client can choose to present a photo from Houzz and they will put together the selections for them or they can choose each door knob. The design experience is completely up to the client.
