No respect for the past. No vision for the future. Architecture constructed like IKEA furniture.

From Passive Housing to creative design, Spak Group has found Bright Common Architecture to be on the cutting edge of architecture and design! Each step in the process of development is arduous for every property owner, but Bright Common clients have their team to ease those difficulties while providing beautiful buildings to our communities.

We connected with Bright Common initially because we knew we wanted to prioritize green features in our new home, and were acquainted with someone who had worked with them on an impressive renovation. Upon meeting Jeremy we knew we had the right person for the job. He is extremely passionate and knowledgable about sustainable design practices, and gives a damn about about aesthetics too. We worked together to get our facade design right, and it turned out beautifully. He also recommended our builder to us, and we were happy with that experience as well. I don’t think Jeremy will design below a certain level of “green”, so look elsewhere if you want cheap, market driven housing that will not stand the test of time. He also can be very persuasive, and you might spend more than you meant to! But your upgrades will definitely save you money in the long run on energy costs and will greatly reduce your carbon footprint compared to a typically built home, so that’s a win! And that’s not to say Jeremy isn’t interested in working within your budget, because that’s exactly what he did with us. We did not opt to pursue full passive house features due to the expense but were thrilled to achieve a HERS score of 14 on our project anyway. Overall we were very happy to work with Bright Common and look forward to continuing the relationship!

Ignore the beaming reviews and actually do your research if you want a building that is meant to house your family long term. Find your home elsewhere.

Jeremy helped me turn a 4000 sq. Ft. Space into a sustainable home for my family. It was a learning experience that The group at bright common guided me through. They also were responsive to our needs. Would work with again!

After acquiring a historic commercial building in our neighborhood, we interviewed several firms to do a modern redesign of the space where our business is now located. While any of the firms could've "gotten the job done," we were specifically drawn to Jeremy and Bright Common, because of a shared commitment to ethical, sustainable and community-minded design. The renovation process can be lengthy and frustrating, but Jeremy worked within our budget and guided us through every step, detailing the pros and cons for each design choice. Bright Common’s commitment to quality and focus on designing to reduce environmental impact helped shape our project into a beautiful, highly functional, and energy-efficient space. It was a pleasure working with Bright Common; we are thrilled with the final result as well as Jeremy’s ongoing commitment to the neighborhood.

Jeremy and his team helped create the vision for our commercial project. He treated the project like it was his - with a care and attention to detail rare for architects. His kind attitude and his commitment were unmatched. Look forward to working with him again in the future.

Bright Common has been the most professional firm I have worked with. As a developer in Philadelphia I have built many buildings designed by Jeremy, Jeff and Amanda and the feedback on these buildings are amazing. I will continue working with Bright common because of their professional work and creativity, and above all just great people to work with!

We entered into our new home construction project with a few ideas about “green building”, but Jeremy steered us to Passive House and we never looked back. Nearly every decision we made stemmed from the building science principles that Bright Common alerted us to. These advantages were on top of Jeremy providing modern design expertise as an architect geared to help us design a beautiful home. Also, Jeremy gives a damn about the work he does. His team does too. Ask him about his “why” and you’ll find a good dude.
