I had a difficult project for Mosby Building Arts and they had come in and surpassed all my expectations. I had a dome on my house that was not properly supported and Mosby in working with an architect came up with a creative solution to properly support the dome and make the support appear as if it was part of the design of the house. It was incredible the ingenuity that went into the project and the finish product was spectacular. Everyone that has seen the house agrees that the workmanship and final result was nothing short of fabulous. I will always recommend Mosby for any remodeling or structural project to anyone. Here’s the thing about Mosby Building Arts and their team: they are ALL IN when you invite them into your life and your home. (Settle in. This is wordy. I don’t care because I’m not paying by the letter to post this. ) Every time I’ve told a local tradesperson or design professional who we were working with, their response is always the same. When I told them who we chose as our contractor the feedback is always “They’re not cheap, but they’re the best!” This couldn’t be more true. I’ve seen it in so many ways, from our first meeting with Designer, Jake Spurgeon where he dreamed a bit with us, and he had to speak the painful financial truth, to the countless shopping trips, design meetings, texts, emails and phone calls with Designer, Tanya Yaacoub, the practical, nuts and bolts and impact conversations with our Project Manager, Jill Huckelberry and our day to day interactions with our Site Manager, Dan Nolan , the attention to our home, our family, our pets, our neighbors and our exciting and overwhelming 10-12 week project. We have been so very comfortable with these folks and their team members. One day, Dan blew me away with an impromptu conversation we had about placement of hardware on the cabinetry in our new kitchen. He went, cabinet and drawer by cabinet and drawer, and double checked what hardware belonged on each cabinet front. He gave me options, suggestions and thoughtful direction on placement of each pull and knob. He wanted as much feedback as he could pull from me (and he knows me well now, so that’s a risky endeavor!) about what was important to me. Then, as I was preparing to let him and his coworker Jake (who is super great too) get back to work, he mentioned that he was going to make sure that the “brushing” on the brushed nickel hardware was all oriented in the same direction, so everything would be perfect. What? I never even considered that something that minute could be a thing, but he knew, and made sure I knew that he was on it. This renovation isn’t cheap...but it’s the best. Man, this meant a lot. If you’re in the market and want something done right, hire them. It’s worth every penny. The end.

We are greatly pleased by Mosby's fine work. We needed major updating--two bathrooms, related electrical and plumbing including installation of a new breaker box and standpipe for our washer, kitchen and laundry room/pantry. From the start: initial design, assistance in choosing fixtures, tile, cabinets, accessories, appliances etc., workmanship, cleanup and protection of the rest of our house from dust and damage, everyone at Mosby was fully attentive to our needs and taste. Daily, the day's workers arrived on time, were courteous, friendly, and helpful, and performed the work within the schedule set at the start. When friends have asked us about the progress of the work, we have given Mosby our highest recommendation.

We did a sizable home remodeling project with Mosby and the experience has been FANTASTIC! We had Mosby put in a 2nd floor bonus room in place of a 20’ vaulted ceiling, install a custom master bathroom and update a smaller children’s bathroom. The crews arrived when they said they would, kept to the projected timeline, and left my home nice and neat on a daily basis. Our contractor and all of the subcontractors have been respectful of our home and time. Communication on what to expect and when has been clear since the planning stages of our project. There have been very few change orders, which has kept the cost of project with in what we were presented from the outset. We have been thrilled with Mosby! Although Mosby’s services are not cheap, you can see quality and craftsmanship in their work.

We cannot rave enough about Mosby! They remodeled our kitchen a year ago. From start to finish they were wonderful. Although we were thrilled to get our kitchen back we miss Shannon, our designer Jill, our project manager, Chris, our lead carpenter and Noel who called us weekly to see how things were going. They were on time, there every day and kept us informed every step of the way. The quality is unmatched. Also, 10 months later on Thanksgiving Saturday we awoke to the new master smoke alarm beeping. Not sure what to do I emailed Jill at 7 AM and in 10 minutes had a reply that she had contacted the electrician. We have had bad experiences with contractors in the past and are so glad we went with such reliable people.

We turned to Mosby Building Arts for an extensive design and renovation of our 1940s home. We relocated our kitchen, converting a family room to a master bed/bath, added an addition, and reformatted the original kitchen for a mudroom/laundry room. Our family remained in the house through the renovation of 3 months and the crew took exceptional care to be mindful of that. The team at Mosby is easy to work with, efficient, and effective. In fact, our experience was so positive that when our family does eventually outgrow our house we intend to look for an old home with good bones so that we can have a design and build with Mosby. Buying a turn-key home that may not have the level of craftsmanship of Mosby's team is no longer an attractive option. I encourage anyone that is considering buying a new home or renovating their current one to have a conversation with Mosby first.

Our Mosby experience began with Denny and Lucy coming to our new home to create a new larger, brighter kitchen and move the laundry room. We looked at many possibilities, worked through some obstacles, and devised a plan that suited us. My husband and I felt that our opinions, desires and thoughts were heard and incorporated. Lucy continued to walk me through the whole process of picking out cabinets, countertops, appliances, fixtures and lights. She advised me as I picked out paint colors not only for the kitchen, but for the entire house. This time of “putting it all together “ could’ve been a nightmare. Lucy’s architecture and design skills allowed me to enjoy this exciting part of the renovation. As the time neared to start the work, we met Jill (project manager) and Kris (head carpenter and job site manager). Both were not only friendly and easy to work with, they kept us informed of progress, anticipated situations that needed addressing and gave good solutions to make things work out right. Any time that I stopped by to check on progress, Kris promptly stopped what he was doing/ or Jill set up a time to meet me and addressed my questions and concerns. Frankly, over the 3-4 months of renovation, these 4 became friends/ comrades and I find myself missing them. All of the other workers, plumbers, painters, tilers, floor guys were pleasant and respectful. The overall outcome is a lovely kitchen and laundry room that flows well with the rest of the house. I am very grateful for all the work and attention to details that went into it. I would use Mosby again and will recommend them to my friends.

We picked Mosby for our bathroom remodels based on reputation and some reviews. Mosby is expensive, and we're pretty particular, so we have held them to a very high standard. We've come to know their employees, who seem to enjoy working there. If the people working on our project have a positive attitude, then they're going to do a good job, and they have. Almost all of any missteps have been handled. Everything has turned out the way we agreed upon in our design meeting. The project took longer than we expected, but someone from Mosby was onsite all but one day in four weeks. Mosby has a remodeling process of design-build, they have followed the process, and we're happy.

From our design expert, Jake, and engineer Rich, we started out smoothly. Our production team Eric, Steve, Colton, Scott, Kevin, Chris and Luciano were always on-time, efficient, polite and engaging to work with. They showed up every day and gave us an outline of the day's work to be done and asked if there things that needed to be addressed. Anything that needed addressing, was promptly handled. Our team was respectful of our pets and very friendly with them (the dogs were sad to see them go). We loved our first project so much (huge kitchen remodel) that we had the same team back for our powder room/wet bar remodel. We are looking forward to our next project with Mosby.

Our house had problems with water getting into the basement. We had several contractors give us opinions about the cause and estimates for repairs. After some failed attempts at stopping the issue, we got an opinion from Mosby. Rich Oris came to our house and spent a lot of time looking for the cause of our water problems. He discovered that we had problems with old siding on the front of our house, as well as problems with the roof over that area. We contracted with Mosby and no longer have water problems in the basement. Extensive repairs were made to the front of our home including repair of the roof and siding, and sealing of some cracks in the basement wall. The team from Mosby handled all work in a professional manner and the results have far exceeded work done by other contractors we have used over the years. Mosby has done several other renovations for our home including repair of our deck that was not anchored correctly by the initial installer, remodeling of a master bathroom and landscaping our front yard. Any future repairs or renovations will be done by Mosby Building Arts.

The referrals I received about Mosby were correct. I was very pleased with their service, professionalism and quality from start to finish of the project. We had a hallway/guest bathroom remodeled. Mosby/Right Bath was in line as far as estimates went among 4 bids I received. The designers were very responsive and great in narrowing down my choices as that was very overwhelming for me and part of my decision to go with Mosby. The employees here were very respectful of our home, especially with 2 young children and a dog. They were always prompt and made us aware of any changes in the schedule. As with any project, there were one or two hiccups, but my concerns were addressed immediately without fail. The project was even completed a day ahead of schedule. I have the utmost confidence in the team here and would use Mosby again. I would even request the specific employees that were here on-site! Upon final inspection, the nit-picky items I asked to be touched up were taken care of within days of my request. Great customer service and quality. Thank you for making a project (which can always be a disruption) at least seem enjoyable :)
