Too bad there isnt a zero stars button.... I can saw with extreme certainty Mathison can design some nice spaces, the major flaw.... cost control. As with most Architecture firms, the highest level of cost control is very necessary to ensure that when an owner requests changes to the drawings, they need to temper that with cost.... Mathison appears to just avoid that step and push the blame onto others when their designs go waaaay over budget (like 40% in one case)...... i would recommend someone else who can have those hard conversations to make sure cost is kept in line.

Mathison worked to develop a concept, floor plan, and structure around our goals and preferences embracing the project all along the way. When we came to terms with the fact that the existing structure should be removed, Mathison modified and improved the design. Always available and extremely responsive Mathison listened to us at every step. In the end, we couldn't be happier. The house fits us perfectly and the design is stunning.
